Guy denied are tow since headlights were stolen. And did not even look me the eye when talking guy seemed to scratch. His neck too often seemed like he was on drugs and made excuses to leave did not look at are towing instructions and got mad at us when he couldn't find us even though webgive him directions on line. I Would never use this tow company ever. Lazy non trust worthy and took over 4 hours to pull up yell at me then leave me still stranded. Still here waiting... I'm going to request my AAA membership to never use this company moving forward. That is a lie no offers where ever made and the conduct of your driver was the worst customer service I've ever dealt with and my AAA told me that he should have takin it regardless. They are contracted by AAA in my area and I have to say their service sucks. I called at 6:40 this am. The auto tracker said the truck would be here by 9:07. At 9:30 I called and they said he would be here shortly. At around 10 I called back and the guy asked me if the driver had called me at all. I said no. He went and called them and spoke with the manager of S&R and that guy said he'd have someone out here in 20-30 min. Awful awful awful. read more

Called these morons at 10:28pm to get a car door unlocked, was told it will be 50 minutes, they sent me a tracker to watch the drivers progress, an hour later I call to get an eta, I am told he's only minutes away, the tracker now shows the truck a few miles away, then it changes to 8 minutes before arrival to almost there, another hour passes, I call again to check progress and am told it will be at least 60 to 90 minutes, the driver is on another call only minutes away and will soon be headed in my direction, at 3:15 I call another company, this truck shows up 30 minutes later and my door is opened, 45 minutes later these morons at s&r call me and say the driver is on his way... SAVE YOUR TIME AND CALL ANYONE ELSE! This company sucks. read more

I called them for a service, because my car suddenly broke down. I called and they told me they would be here in 1 hour . I waited and then had to call them because the hour had passed and they said , I had to wait 1 hour more !!!! The customer service was terrible and the person on the phone didn't seem to care . He acted as if it was okay for me to wait 1 more hour and did not show any empathy. This happened in Valley Center . Not okay ! read more

The driver, Jerry, was very efficient, friendly and cheerful. He had us home as quickly as possible and was a safe driver. The tow truck was next level, with a dropping platform and other gadgets I hadn't seen before. This was by far the best tow service I've encountered in 40 years of driving. read more

Terrible company. I called for a tow through AAA at 12:30. At 4:30 they texted me and said that they were not going to come.

Very unreliable and unless their is profit to be made under the table they are completely fine leaving you stranded. Even with the contract with AAA, it took them over 6 hours to finally manage to head down the grade to my vehicle near the dog park in which obviously we had to handle by other means and they were no longer needed. I had to have an employee come down pick me up while my boyfriend had to network his friends for aide. There were many more instances of unreliability but this was the most ridiculous circumstance. I'm disappointed in AAA and S AND R for their lack of others peoples safety. Tesla - Highly recommended. Knew about tow bar and tow mode but after inflating flat, was able to drive up onto truck. Inflated my flat before loading and also before unloading to protect side walls. Andrea out of Valley Center was my driver. She was very knowledgeable about towing a Tesla. Arrived in about 1/2 hour. Couldn't be happier. read more

Beware they try to scam you and add more miles then really is. Checked on 3 phones and nav on the car all 4 says 9.9 miles but the dispatcher is trying to tell me it's 15 miles. At $8 a mile they really need to get their Stuff together. On top of that been waiting for over an hour for the tow truck to show up and they still haven't arrived yet. Unfortunately I'm stuck in the middle of bum buck No where on a Sunday so this is the only option for me. What a horrible experience! Can't wait to just get back home. read more

What a riip off. I have no complaints about the towing charge which I think was reasonable. The storage charge was higher than I hoped, but it is what it is. What I object to is their EXTORSION TACTICS. The location that had my car told me they do not take cars (which they later sell) for partial payment of the bill. Th r y directed me to call the main office number to negotiate A SALE PRICE FOR THE CAR TO REDUCE THE BILL!!! OKAY, I'm willing to do that. Now for the fun part. My best friend from high school is there with signed title to conduct business for me. The bill is reduced to $1000.00 even. Great, send me a Bolland I'll send you a check. "We don't take personal checks." " And we can't take a credit card over the phone." WHAT????? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO PAY? I'm stuck in a hospital for at least another week. I'm told, "I can give someone the cash and they cab drive back down to Oceanside from Pomona. HELLLO! I'M IN HOS]ITA) & CAN'T GET TO the BANK. The offer to take the car and reduce the bill is ONLY GOOD FO 24 HOURS ! WYAT A CROCK OF CRAP!!!!.They CAN .take an in person credit card . My best friend Ed used his credit card to pay my bill. S&R really came through for me in a tough situation. I had to have my Mom's car towed from Harrah's to my home - over 140 miles away. Sean was amazing. All he had to go on was where the vehicle had been parked, the make and color...and no keys. I wasn't even there to meet up with him. Shawn was great! S&R towing has great customer service and has highly skilled staff. My sons Prius C slid down an embankment in between some oaks and steel drain pipe on a back country, dirt, private driveway in VC. He got a little close to the edge when driving up the road with the sun in his face. Gravity, loose dirt, and inexperience did the rest. Shawn had no difficulty pulling it out with limited room and took the time to carefully think it through to not damage the vehicle. He did it with extreme skill and care. Shawn from S & R Towing saved us!! We waited on the side of the road, in 90 degree weather, with cars flying by, for an hour and a half for another towing company. Every time I called the tow company, they said it would be another 40 minutes! I finally called my insurance company and told them to send a different company. Shawn was there within 20 minutes and rescued us! He was so nice to us and to my dog. :) He even gave us water! He was able to tow my vehicle out of a difficult area so quickly! He was amazing!!
