With over 20yrs of experience, she is well versed with all types of textures. Whether bone straight, a curly perm or a natural 4c, you won't be disappointed with your color choice, roller set or silk press. If you want braids, twists or a mani/pedi, her staff can assist. It's a one stop shop. Her technique is all about hair care and not just "style 'n check", if you know what I mean. Apparently, Seble gives great care and priority to non Ethiopian. My first experience was couple months back, while I was waiting for flat iron for she took another customer that came after me. when I asked why, she stated she has an appointment that she has to go too. I was upset but let go. l again went there a different day for the same thing @3pm, she said she can't do it because she doesn't have staff. I was ok but asked if I can use a restroom. it literally took her over a minute to respond in a very hesitant and rude way. I was so upset, turned around and left. SHAME ON YOU !!! read more

I've been coming to this salon for years! Seble is the only person I trust to straighten my hair after I had a bad experience somewhere else. I love how clean and straight my hair gets and I never have heat damage. My hair goes right back curly after I wash it. And of course she has gorgeous hair so she knows what's she's doing. I always get a wash and press with a trim, and she lets me know how my hair is doing (if it's dry, if I have bad breakage and what she recommends). This is a small owned shop and is very professional. When you make an appointment, you come in and you're not waiting for hours, you are seen right away. She will take great care of your hair and you will see growth. The facility is clean and the location is safe. Beware. Washing, blow drying, and using heat on hair can be an easy task to accomplish on certain hair types. This shop can do what I believe to be the bare minimum. If you have ethnic natural hair do not come. I'm confident she will break and damage your hair leaving it fragile and thin enough to suggest a straight or curl style that she may be able to handle. I have been coming to S Image Salon for about for years and it's my favorite salon ever! I have type 3B/C hair and she knows just how to take care of it. I always get my hair straightened and a trim with the hair treatment. I recommend the treatment to everyone - it feels like a pamper session. I used this salon for my wedding day hair do. The stylist was Jay J. and she did a phenomenal job. I didn't have a trial done because I was scrambling for a stylist at the last minute but I don't regret my choice one bit. Jay was very warm and welcoming, at one point I started panicking because my bridesmaids weren't where they were supposed to be but she calmed me right on down. She shared stories of her wedding and even gave me apples from her lunch because of course the bride doesn't think to eat the morning of. Growing up in NY my aunt owned a hair salon so I'm always nervous to try new places. I read the reviews and was impressed and skeptical at he same time. Wondering if these are all her friends and family leaving comments. Thought it was weird that there were 33 5 stars- not even one 4. But I went anyway. She took me on time. I have an ombré and wanted it retouched. On the phone she told me $80 but when she saw me she said it's $120 because she has to blend the color. Growing up in a hair salon and having an ombré done to my hair, I know the procedures. There's a lot of teasing involved and foils. She started to apply color like I was dying my whole head blonde. I shared my concern. Let her know that every time I've gotten this done all the other hair dressers did it differently. She assured me she knew what she was doing. She applied one color in my hair using no foils and hardly any teasing. She put me under the heater. I expressed my concern again. I let her know that I was really nervous. After being washed she cut my hair and the was done. I asked her to at least blow dry a section so I can see the color. I was mortified. My hair is multiple colors not blended. She showed me a picture of an ombré and the different colors. I said yes that's because the hair dresser used different color hair dyes all over her head with foils not blobbed on blonde dye everywhere. I told her she charged me more because she had to blend the blonde with the ombré I had already but she didn't do any blending. She said that I can come back to get my hair fixed but told me not to come today (1/9) because she has to take her son to college. Which is weird because she made an appointment for someone for today with her. I AM MORTIFIED. I will not even consider going back there to get my hair fixed. I question her hair education. I called into work sick today because I can't go out in public. My birthday is tomorrow (1/10) and now I will be spending god knows how much to get it fixed. read more

I LOVE S Image. For years I have been looking for an amazing hairstylist to take care of my 4C natural hair - and I found Seble! She is amazing, the salon is beautiful, and my hair is the healthiest its ever been. My first three visits have been to get my hair straightened. The shampoo session is heaven, followed up with a steam treatment, roller set, and flat iron. The first time I went, she trimmed my hair and it was an amazing trim (not cut) my hair grew so fast and healthier right after. The best part, she is so knowledgeable about natural hair and just an overall kind woman with a welcoming smile. She's always on time and the customer service is excellent. The next time I come, I will try a natural style or wash and go - I love my hair straight, but it's hard to maintain while working out. I really tried to like this place and gave Seble, who is the owner a chances but she just doesn't seem to listen to her customers! I had 3 encounters with her and all 3 times I left highly dissatisfied with her service and smelling like burnt hair!!! The 2 times she did my hair it was for a wedding and I specifically asked for no heat but she still go ahead and used it. I tried to stop her from using it and she had the audacity to catch attitude and offered no apology. Perhaps this is the place for you if you don't mind frying your hair and scalp with flat iron. Each time she was done, I came out smelling like burnt hair. I don't recommend this place at all. In addition, I want to point out that she's unreliable stylist and would take advantage of you by trying to cheat you off your money even if you were her long time customer. She was supposed to style my friend and her bridesmaids this past summer. Mind you, the bride was her long-term client and had made arrangements over 6 months prior to her wedding day to style her and her 6 BMs for the wedding day. Less than 2 weeks before the wedding she increased her fees by ridiculous amount of money and she was scrambling to find a replacement. Thank God she found even a much better stylist in short notice and vowed to never see Seble ever again! Seble is great. S Image is a one woman show, but she is so flexible when it comes to scheduling, and she really takes care of your hair. Each time you go you get a deep steam conditioning treatment, and she really believes in the health of your natural hair. My hair doesn't break as much, even with color. Its full and thick again, and even though the roller set and deep conditioning add to the time you are there, she never has you waiting around because she's over booked. I've been natural for over 2 years now and only i have had my hair done twice. Once for a Euro girls trip 9 months ago and recently for a job interview. I have thick curly hair so I didn't want to go to my job interview with big hair. I recently moved from Germany and I was dreading trying to find a good hair salon. I came across S Image, I read the reviews and I thought I would give it a shot. Her website said by appointment so I called and made an appointment for last Monday. I was pressed for time so I had treated and washed my hair prior to my appointment. And plus one thing I hate about going to a salon is the wait and sitting under the dryer. When I got there, she only had a couple of people and she took me on time. I said to myself well that's a good start. A few things I didn't like my experience that day was she was pushing for me to use her treatment as if her treatment was the only treatment that should be used; like she has the magic treatment and how everyone that comes get her treatment before they get their hair done. So to shut her up I was like next time I come I will give it a try. I thought my hair was flatter than I wanted it to be but I thought she did a decent job. I called her yesterday to make an appointment for today at 11 am for my mom and myself. I just wanted to get a trim, but I was going to have my mom try the whole experience this lady couldn't stop talking about. My mom was going to come from Centerville, but due to the weather she told me she could not come. I called Seble before 10:30 am and I told her my mom is stuck in Centerville and she had to cancel. She said okay if that's the case let's push your appointment to 11:20 am. I said sure. I had to run some errands so it was perfect for me. I was running 5 mins late but I rushed and got there around 11:26 am. I ran in and was like sorry I'm late. Seble had this Caucasian lady on her chair. She didn't even acknowledge me or say anything to me. The lady was getting a hair cut and dry. She and another person under the steam. So I'm waiting, 10 mins go by, 20 mins go by an hour go by and Seble still doesn't acknowledge me, she didn't even want to break her eye from this woman's head. She was treating her like she was Queen Elizabeth. I mean Seble was doing too much that I've never been so turned off. She completely forgot about me and the poor woman that was sitting under the steam. When Seble was finally done with Queen Elizabeth, she was red and sweating. Then she finally looks at me and tells me 5 more mins and grabs the other lady. No sorry no thank you for waiting patiently. By the time she finally got to me I've waited way over an hour. I was sooooooooo pissed. 1. She should've told me when I called to come much later, 2. She didn't even apologize for having me sit there for over an hour. 3. I don't like people like her that act differently when they see white people as if she will get paid in gold. We both pay in dollars nothing more nothing less. And then she had the audacity to tell me I shouldn't use hair butter because she doesn't believe in it and bring up her magic treatment again. She was just talking a lot of ish. She introduced me to great choices of hair oils ( not heavy yet revive your capillaries), one more leave-in capillary treatment that I forgot the name but she always has it on her shelf, she deep conditioned my hair and had trimming schedule for my hair and I still don't know how she managed to remember!
