First off - THEY MOVED AROUND THE CORNER! Their new address is 8250 Boone Rd. I was so impressed when I arrived! The owner personally greeted me and took my car in right away! Their selection of rims was impressive, everything is brand new so it was super clean and comfortable! I needed 2 new tires and a rotation and brake pads, & after seeing their rims I decided to get new rims too! ( Huge selection to choose from!!! Some they have in stock at the store, but some you would need to order. ) Very friendly and helpful staff, easy wait time! Above and beyond service with a smile, very affordable pricing & most importantly- no over selling! ( they even recalibrated my tire pressure gage for me at no charge, which at another tire shop they told me it would be $900 to replace it! ) I highly recommend this tire shop! I've been coming here for years and they always have great customer service. I always call ahead and they always pick up and answer me very well. They usually aren't too busy so its not such a long wait. Their waiting room is quite limited but its well air conditioned and have nice seats. Their pricing is affordable but their quality is very high. Overall, I would recommend coming here for quick and honest work. This is my second visit to Wayside Tire. My first visit was to get a run flat tire patched because neither Discount Tire nor the Mini dealership would patch it, instead telling me to buy a new tire. Javier at Wayside patched it without any hesitation and only charged me $10. For today's visit I needed tubes installed in two tractor tires and Discount Tire refused to help me with them. This location is fairly hidden if you're not looking for a tire shop. Coming down Beechnut from Beltway 8, you will see it hidden behind a shopping center on the right once you pass Wilcrest. I called ahead because I needed what i thought to be stretched tires at the time (265/35-19 on 11" wide wheels) and from my previous experience, this was my go to shop. They told me they can definitely take care of me, so i made my way over with just under 40 mins to spare before their 6:30 close. I show up, show them the rims/tires that would be coupled together and get a quote of $130 for all 4. Wait, what? 130?!?! I could have had a 5th wheel hangin for that price... Anywho, I told them that ive been there before and only got charged 80 (true story) for even more of a stretch but that didn't prompt a lower price. Junior seemed to be fairly firm without negotiation. Oh well, bite the bullet cause im already there. They proceed to dismount my tires and slap them onto my newly purchased rims and simply attach the air nozzle and they all bead perfectly. So what the hell did i just pay 130 for? The fact that it requires "special skillz" to get them mounted? No, i got charged 130 for believing that the tires had to be stretched, when in reality, they beaded in perfectly without the extra need for a heat blower. So i asked, "oh so you don't need a blower for these to stretch?" and Junior says, "no, with Michelins like yours, they stretch on there easily" (of course this isn't verbatim, but you get the gist). In my honest opinion, as a business owner/worker, you shouldn't take advantage of customers if you know less work is required. In my case, my assumption that the tires needed to be stretched with a blower justified my going to Wayside, when instead, i could have went to One Stop Auto off HWY6 and Bissonnett and gotten all of them mounted and balanced for $30. Thats right, $30!!! I gave this 3 stars only because ive been here before and they do quality and quick work. But for the price i got charged for the minimum amount of work done, I definitely feel ripped off. So for future prospects, make sure you go and check out other shops before finalizing with Wayside! On another note, the shop is fairly small. There is a small waiting room with a TV and the shop is filled with SLAB wheels for the taking. They carry tires in many different sizes (most likely sizes to fit their rims they have for sale), but again, i would shop around before purchasing from them. Junior was very accommodating when i drove off and my TPMS light came on - he said that if it was broken by his employees, he would replace it free of charge. All in all, I would go back only if i HAD TO. I know now that there are other small shops that can do the same work for much much less money. I was probably one of their last customers within the closing hour or more since the weather was gloomy, so I may have gotten charged premium just so they can make money back from the slow business day. I've been coming here for years. A year ago, I was convinced by one of my co-workers to try out discount tire because of their great warranty/ certificate on their new tires. Unfortunately, I took their advice and invested my tax return. Long story short, after a year of being robbed and cheated by discount tire, Wayside got me out of my bind and will always help customers and not just want to make money. Stopped by to have tire pressure checked after noticing my front right tire low on air. They checked it and found that my tire had a nail in it, offered to install a plug.
