If you don't get here 30 mins before they open, you might be at the back of a long recyling line. Last time I was here I think I was the 3rd person in line and it took a good 20 mins before it was my turn. The people in front of me had at least 5 plus recycling containers each, and with one person weighing stuff, you can imagine how long it took. I just feel bad for the people behind me because by the time i left, the line was at least 10 people long and each with multiple bags to recycle. The only positive thing I like about Rhine Recycling Center is that they are open on Sundays. I appreciate that very much as most recycling places are closed on the weekends. So would I come here again? Yea I would, but I just gotta make sure I get here early....and make sure you do too!

They are efficient and friendly. I think the amount they pay for aluminum, plastic and glass here are the best in the area. I'm not sure if the do other recycling materials (i.e. copper, scrap metal) because I don't need those services. But if they do, I'm sure you'd get the best prices on those too. They also have a bathroom available to customers for hand washing after you drop your recycling.

They give you bins to separate your cans and plastics, they weight it out for you, and give you a slip of paper so you can wait in line and get paid. Super easy and convenient! Follow the "Cash Buy Back" signs on Colt St. - there's a driveway that leads to a small parking area, with bins (large plastic trash cans) set out to put your cans, plastic, or glass into. Can easily take them over to where they are weighed. Had two people ahead of me but the line moves fast. Then you take the paperwork to the adjacent window where you get paid. Easy process, and the guys were helpful and friendly.

At Santa Paula Recycling, I've found them to be well organized usually friendly. They are often quite helpful by providing me with assistance unloading my car and placing the bottles and cans into their wire receptacles for weighing. The place is on a large dirt lot and there is plenty of space for cars, but there is no traditional parking lot.

A line of customers would stretch back ten car lengths on really bad days and he sorted and weighed as if he were working under protest while detained in a prison camp. If you expressed frustration about his lack of pace, he smirked and said you could go somewhere else. Roberto, the worker at their other location behind Ralphs in Ventura, liked to take two-hour siestas in his white pimped-out Escalade when his posted lunch hour was just one hour. No wonder Nexcycle went under and couldn't make it! Reliable customer service provided at a productive pace is key to keeping customers. Don't hire slow, unproductive, lazy people who lack energy and enthusiasm for their jobs. Nobody should have to wait in a long line for an hour or more just to redeem their cans for the CRV deposits made at the store register. That's ridiculous.
