We've used UPS for years as mail service and never encountered such unreliable service. This store is to notify mailbox users of packages that have arrived for pick up, and they DO NOT always manage to send emails. Staff admits "they don't always get around to the emails". Yet, you are charged 10 dollars per week a package sets not picked up. They expect you to stop in daily to see if you have packages, and this place is so small, there is always along line to get waited on. Worst UPS ever. NOT RECOMMENDED. read more

Went here in urgent need of bank documents to be notarized (I was traveling from another state). I provided the pre-paid envelope for mailing as well so the documents could be shipped directly back to my bank. Charged for the service, signed the book. OH, the bank got my documents without the "attached" (as written by the notary) notary seal pages for both documents. When I called, I was told my only recourse is to travel back out of state to have my documents re-notarized by them. Terrible service, disgusted at how I was dealt with. My husband is active duty military and I live on base. Instead of my usual PO BOX delivery there was an option to deliver to my local UPS which I chose as its slightly closer to my home. She went to the back to ask Dorothy to see if they could Laminate my odd size picture. I usually visit the UPS store in Ventura Rd. The woman isn't to friendly and she's always eating her lunch when I arrive . Well I had such a different experience at the Channel Islands location today . I actually came because the other UPS (on Ventura Rd ) said that their printer is not working. I call everyday to see if it's working so I gave up. Upon arrival at the Channel Islands location the woman greeted me . And she was so kind she gave me an email that was printed in bold letters so I can see it better. Since I was there to print some labels . The young male Ethan was exceptional he went above and beyond for everyone . You can tell he was willing to help . He even had a smile while helping the customers . A disgusting response to my negative review is exactly what one would expect from this low life business. To insinuate that I made degrading comments about women and that I acted in such a belligerent manner that I required restraint by security and concerned citizens felt compelled to check the welfare of The UPS Store on CI Blvd by Ralph's is so ridiculous and slanderous. Although I expected some type of response from the store to the negative review I wrote, but I was a little surprised how childish and vindictive the UPS Store in Port Hueneme acted when posting a response riddled with lies, false statements, and completely made-up events. In mid Oct. 2019, I had The UPS Store off of Wheelhouse Rd. box up some items I had to ship. But when I saw how poor a job they did, I told the mail clerk that I wasn't going to pay the $50 unless the items were boxed properly. I was told that she would, but it would cost $30 more. I refused and asked the clerk to return my items. She said no. It wasn't until I told her she cannot keep my property and again asked for my items back. The clerk got upset and started ripping the packages open. She gave me my items and told me to never come back. I understand the store had invested time into this, but my items would have been damaged if left that way and if I had to repack the boxes myself, what was I paying them to do? I even gave the clerk $20 for her trouble and left the store. 4 others witnessed this. 2 of which have agreed to write statements. How is it that I was so belligerent that a customer felt the need to come back and check on the store, yet I was at the same time thoughtful enough to leave $20?. Fast forward a couple months. Now, Ive had my UPS packages delivered to the store for several years and didn't even think about an issue with delivery until I got an email telling me to p/u the pkg at the same UPS Store. It was Xmas eve and I found the store had closed early. So I went back the day after Xmas. A clerk at The UPS Store near CVS on CI Blvd said the pkg was refused, she doesn't know where it is and told me to leave the store. I tried to explain that she is mistaken and I stepped outside to call UPS Customer Srv to help find my pkg. the insisted it was at The UPS Stores and sent me documentation that someone named Hunt at the store signed for and received the pkg. Customer Srv said they never heard of anything like this before and suggested I call The UPS Store's corporate office. I was on the phone with them, still outside of the store when a security guard approached me and said something about the police. I told him to call them because the store had my pkg and had basically stolen my daughters Xmas gift. I was explaining to the guard what happened when I noticed the lights inside the store were off and the clerks were gone. The next morning I called corporate. After contacting the store, it was suggested I contact the shipper and have them file a claim. I had to reorder everything and pay again. Later that afternoon the pkg showed up in the system as being return to sender. It was 6 days AFTER the pkg was first dropped off at The UPS Store did my daughter finally get her Xmas gift. This vindictive behavior was in retaliation for me changing my mind about having them pack my items. Everything else they claimed happened are lies. CVS offered to write a statement that they are not aware of any conflict between myself and anyone there, ever. The UPS driver who delivered the package and picked it up 4 days later can offer a statement as well. I challenge the store to prove any of what they said happened. Perhaps a statement from the concerned customer who came back to check on the store would be interesting. Man, I really wish I didn't have to write this review, but after dealing with this store twice, I feel compelled to say something in the hopes that other people see this and will take their business elsewhere. I was sent a wedding gift to my home, but they tried to deliver it three times while I was at work and subsequently returned it to sender. I then called the sender and told him to send it to the UPS store by my house and have them hold it for pickup. He did so, but I was out of town on business when it got delivered. I flew back into LAX late on a Friday and promptly went to the UPS store on Saturday, but guess what, they had returned the package to sender again. I called the facility where it was returned and asked if they could send it back. They did, but charged me for shipping. Okay, not the end of the world. I understand I may have not made it to the store in time to pick it up and it costs money to ship packages, so I paid the fee. This week I received notice the package had been delivered to the UPS store. Not wanting it to be sent back a third time, I left work just to pick up the package, which was already a major inconvenience. Upon trying to pick up the package I was told I had to pay an additional $10 holding fee. Seriously? You held my package for no time at all, and this was never mentioned when I paid to have the package sent earlier in the week. The people working in the store were extremely rude and unhelpful. Ultimately I paid their $10 extortion just so I could finally get the wedding present and be done with this ordeal once and for all. I will never patronize this store again, and you shouldn't either. In setting up my new mailbox with a better business after the store manager Andrea Hernandez decided to violate her own service agreement, I also discovered that part of the sales pitch they use to get you to choose their mailing boxes is in fact a patent lie. When shopping around for boxes roughly a year ago, I had to go into this shitty store to obtain more information about getting a box because they don't offer the convenience of posting it online. When I told them I was going around getting quotes, they told me that their service was better than the Post Office because the Post Office does not accept packages from third party shippers. I was gullible enough to believe them instead of checking with the Post Office. If you paw through the reviews like I wish I had back then, you'll see this isn't the first (nor likely the last) time this shitty store and it's staff lie or mislead to squeeze business/a few extra bucks out of customers. Now that I'm finally ending my business relationship with this shitty store I've come to find that not only does the Post Office accept packages for mailbox customers in the EXACT SAME fashion that this shitty store does, but their rates end up being about half as much for a box that's twice as big. I can also get 24/7 access to my mailbox and didn't have to pay a cent extra to do so, not to mention there's a mom and pop copy shop down the road where they seem to be decent human beings. I'd rather support a local business than a shady corporate franchise any day. Only come here if you want to get ripped off, lied to, and treated like crap by management that cares more about their ego and pride than your business. 3/14 - Actually yes, you did violate the service agreement, had you read the contract you provided, it clearly states The UPS Store has the right to terminate any box at any time for six specific reasons; being butthurt over online criticism is not one of them. It also states that written notice is to be provided with a minimum of 24 hours notice. You left me a voicemail telling me essentially to get my shit and go 2 hours before you closed, not written, not 24 hours, not even feasible considering I had packages and mail en route (that shit doesn't just magically appear when you want it or no one would have any need for post boxes, duh). UPS and FedEx can and will deliver to the Post Office even though it is a PO Box because they also provide you with a physical street address to deliver a package to which is not a PO Box, just like your shitty store does (minus the 'tude). So yes, I was lied to; those are the exact words the post office worker used to describe what I was told when I asked them about it. I encourage mailbox customers to go to their post office and talk to an employee about how it works since this store and it's employees either A) have no idea what they're talking about or B) would rather withhold information (aka lie) to you so you don't take your business somewhere better. I had a horrible experience at this UPS store. I was having a box packed by then for shipment and their staff member overcharged me. I knew I was being over charged as I had been there with the same type and size of order before. All I wanted to understand was why this box was so much. The girl looked up my previous order and told me that I had not been charged enough on my last visit. I asked to speak to the manager and the girl called her but took the phone into the other room and would not let me speak. She then came back and told me she didn't want me as a customer and proceeded to unpack the box. I told her to stop, I begged her to stop and I said I would pay for it as I had already been waiting 30 minutes for that package. she refused and I had to leave the store. I went to another UPS store very close by and they packaged the box and charged me 20 dollars less and were very nice. The next day I went back to the bad UPS store as I wanted an apology and an explanation. I spoke to the owner who refused to take any responsibility. She said that they could charge more if they wanted too and the reason They had unpacked my box was because I had not paid. I tried to explain that I had told the girl many times to not unpack my box and I would pay but she did not listen. The bottom line is they have horrible customer service and they charge a lot more than other UPS stores close by, So save money don't get ripped off and treated poorly. I PAID them to mail four house payments for me while we were out of the country. Thank goodness I watch to make sure the checks are deposited.
