The therapist had strong pressure yet very gentle and careful with my injury. My neck and shoulders are very tight she pays a lot of attention on the details. In terms of my shoulder injury, she right away elevated my shoulder to make it more comfortable. During the massage, I did inform her to have lighter pressure and she right away adjusted which I really appreciated that! I walked out with feeling much better and lighter. This also makes the business's emphasis on their "first 15 minutes" policy especially frustrating. I have been a customer for more than six years and had never had an experience like this. I was trying to give a therapist I had never seen before a fair opportunity to adjust after I gave her feedback, not watching the clock to make sure I exited before an arbitrary cutoff. I repeatedly communicated that the pressure was painful and asked her to adjust. My original complaint was not simply that I wanted a refund after finishing a massage I disliked. It was about a very poor experience despite my attempts to communicate, followed by a dismissive response when I brought it to the front desk. Their public response is considerably more apologetic than the response I actually received in person, but unfortunately the emphasis on what I should have done within the first 15 minutes only reinforces my disappointment with how this was handled. The first time I met them I was suffering from severe migraine and nausea and I explained it to them using the Google app Translate so we could speak the same language.
