I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for well over 10 years and Sabi is the best I have ever encountered. Recently out of desperation, I went elsewhere, this was a bad move. I made a horrible mistake on my eyebrows and I was trying to let them grow back, however I couldn't take the look of caterpillars growing on my face. So I read some yelp reviews and headed to Sabi's (because I didn't want to go back to Ziba's). With the fear of the pain of threading AND the fear of ending up looking like a Chinese Anime character I sat in Sabi's chair and prayed I would look normal. As she started to work, she said "it does not look that good because it needs to grow back" (meaning she left room for the hair that needed to grow back) I TOTALLY understood that. I have never heard someone shape your eyebrows into what they COULD be instead of just hacking away at whatever they see. She ended up cleaning the eyebrows up some more and I walked out feeling and looking great! My eyebrows are thick and I like them that way so she gave me shape and definition. I did however, breakout around my eyebrows a couple of days later (which usually only happens when I get my eyebrows waxed) I think I am allergic to the gel she put on my brows afterward. If you have sensitive skin forgo the "cooling gel". Minus that I would definitely go back. PS- It does hurt but you look great! :-) read more

Wow I think it's been 4 years now that I have been going to Sabi. I had moved into this bixby knolls area and saw a sign for eyebrow threading. I had not gone in until one day that I so was In a desperate need and it was late and I had no energy to go to Cerritos. Anyway, I walked out so very happy I never went back to Zibas. I used to go to Zibas on pioneer and the Cerritos location... I like to patronize fellow studio makeup academy students.... However I am indeed very picky. I am a makeup artist as well and if I can't do my own brows I like to have back up. Sabi does a fantastic job. She has lots of regulars because she is that good! She has always made me feel welcomed and she always acknowledges all clients as soon as they walk through her door. I am so glad I found her! read more

Let me start off by saying, I loath eyebrow threading! every time I try it, it hurts like all hell and I regret giving it another shot. In my mind, ill just stick to waxing! With that being said, I came across this place because I was in the same parking lot and it said waxing on the window. When I enter, I tell sabi I wanted a wax. She said "try threading it's better" I said mmm idk, I think I just want a wax. Threading hurts! She said "come on, just try" with a smile on her face. So I thought what the hell, my eyebrows look terrible. I'll just endure the pain for 5 minutes cause it's Friday and I need them done. They took me instantly and the lady said "don't worry I'll be soft". Now I won't say it was painless, but it was the best threading experience I've had. (I usually go to ziba in the Lakewood mall and even tho they're good with shape, they tear my skin to shit and I'm always as red as a tomato). The whole time her and sabi were asking me if I'm okay, and she even took breaks so that I could rub my eyes for a second. She was very sweet and both ladies took my threading hatred into consideration and wanted to make sure I was as pain free as possible. Needless to say I left happy, and my skin was still pink, but not bright red like usual! (White girl problems). I will definitely be back! The only reason I give this place 4 stars, and not 5, is because I usually like some after care when they're done. A sort of lotion or powder, the cooling is refreshing on the skin, yet she just wiped my eyebrows with a cotton ball and sent me on my way. But again, that's just me being picky. read more

So I'm not one to write reviews, but I went in not reading anything from yelp two girls ahead of me both complained about their eyebrows being uneven and had both ladies sit there and try to fix them. As I watched I figured I still have time to slip out the door.. Nope the lady caught me and said she was ready at the very end. So I get mine done she does it HARD and fast I've never had threading hurt before not like this. She cut my eyelid AND messed up my life eyebrow and made them uneven. Well first off they don't speak when you walk in. Second way too rough. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for as long as i can remember and the lady who did mine was not professional at all. She didn't introduce herself to me so I don't know her name, It felt like she was ripping off my skin, the string felt like sand paper. I told her she was being too rough and proceeded to agrue with me and told me it was me! Like i said I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for years and thought i would try a place closer to home. It has NEVER EVER been that painful. My skin around my eyebrows are cut and swollen. That was my first and LAST time going there read more

Sabi is good when she is focused. I stopped going after about 6 months. If there is someone else for her to talk with (which is often) she will talk & thread eyebrows at the same time. Which in turn will get little bits of spit on my face. I have asked her several time to kindly not speak to her associate when threading my eyebrows, & she was surprised as to why. I came here because the pictures and the reviews looked promising. The lady that worked on my eyebrows had such a rough touch that I could feel every hair being tugged and pulled out. I get my eyebrows threaded regularly and that is not how it's supposed to feel. It got so unbearable that I had to ask her to stop. I was ready to pay and walk out with an unfinished eyebrow job so long as I could escape the tortures of that chair. As I was about to do that the other woman working there came over and said she would finish it and fix it. I moved to her chair and when I looked in the mirror I noticed one eyebrow was much shorter than the other one. The second woman tried her best to fix it but it was beyond repair. So now I'm leaving with one short eyebrow and in the end the woman still had the temerity to ask me if I wanted to add tip to the card. I'm highly dissatisfied and disappointed. As we all know no one can ruin a day as quickly and severely as an eyebrow lady. Needless to say my day was ruined and I wouldn't wish this upon anyone.
