Ugh, after I lost contact with my eyebrow threader, I was in desperate need of another person and I was so lucky to find Sabi! I've been going to her for what a feels like a couple of years now and this review is way overdue. She is so gentle and listens to what you want/ need and when you go back for a second visit - she still remembers what you asked for (which we love) I'm not sure if I said this already but she's also quick and does a fantastic job! I wish I had taken a "before" photo the first time I went to Sabi's so I could show the drastic difference! My eyebrows were thin, overplucked, and overtrimmed back then. I had been trying to clean my own brows for two years. I showed Sabi photos from her Yelp reviews to show her an idea of what I wanted, and she advised me to not touch my brows for 3-4 weeks so she can shape them next time. For that first visit, she just cleaned me up the best she could with my limited brows. The photo shown is after about 1 year of working with Sabi. My brows are now fuller and I don't agonize over shaping them myself between visits because I know Sabi will take care of them next time. She is the only person I will trust with my brows now. I read a LOT of reviews on yelp and google before visiting Sabi for the first time, and it was worth it. Eyebrows frame your face and can have a really big impact on how your expressions appear to others. The threading itself is painless. The first time I got threading done I broke out badly but it was likely because my skin was sensitive then. Advice to those who havent had threading for a while is to forgo the aloe and apply toner immediately afterwards. Nowadays I accept the aloe and dont apply toner and my skin is fine. I came to Sabi's for the first time due to the great Yelp reviews and am so glad I did! I scheduled an appointment through Yelp and she responded very quickly. However, she prefers you to text the number on the Yelp page to schedule an appointment. She's currently working limited hours - 2 days a week (Friday & Saturday). Her salon is in a shared hair salon, so it might be easy to miss. Plenty of parking spaces along 25th. As far as COVID-19 precautions, she has you sanitize your hands and ensures that everything is clean. This was actually my first time having my eyebrows threaded versus waxed, so I was little nervous about the pain. Sabi was very patient, kind, and made me feel comfortable while also telling me what to expect. I had let my eyebrows grow out for a year and a half, so they were a wild mess. I've had some bad experiences in the past with eyebrow waxing, so I trust very few people with them. She did wonders to my brows and kept them natural, while still giving them shape. The pain wasn't too bad, and the whole process was done in about 10 minutes. For brows, it was $20. Thank you Sabi for making my first threading experience enjoyable! In the past, I've had too many bad experiences with different threading and waxing places, so I'm always a little apprehensive when I try a new place. Went to drop something off at USPS on 25th and was looking around for a place nearby to get my eyebrows threaded. I checked on Yelp and decided to check if Sabi was free. She's was in another room at a Salon and took me in for eyebrows ($25) and upper lip ($10) - quickly done and well shaped! Sabi is amazing. I first booked her to thread my eyebrows ahead of my wedding. I had overplucked my eyebrows during the pandemic and I was working on growing them back out. She was so encouraging about the situation. She did a great job giving me a beautiful shape for the wedding, while trying to preserve as much of the new growth as she could. I don't know how she did it, but the end result almost looked like nothing had ever gone wrong - I was stunned! I now go to her regularly and always love the results. She does a great job honoring the natural shape of my eyebrow while still making them look symmetrical and polished. She's quick to respond over text. And she just moved to a new space on Park Place in San Mateo that is super nice and peaceful, with easy parking. What a bummer, things in SF has not been the same since Covid-19 happened :( I've been patiently waiting for our businesses to reopen and unfortunately we've come to an indefinite indecisiveness at the moment. I've practically lost all hope, I started to look for other alternatives outside of my city and came across Sabi. Now, the process of finding a new brow person is quite stressful because you're literally gambling your life away but in this case, it's your brows, which is practically a huge part of a women's life. I looked at all the photos on her page and felt pretty confident I'll be in good hands. And I was! Sabi is taking clients by appointments only, when arriving she takes ALL the safety measures from taking your temperature and having both herself and you sanitize. Face mask is mandatory of course. I was able to get an appointment the next day and finished within 10 mins. Sabi is really kind and helpful, she corrected one of my brows and explained what she was doing and why. A lot of times people just do it and that's it, I really appreciate her explaining the process. I LOVE coming to get my eyebrows at Sabi's! She's gentle, quick, but also extremely kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Always checks with me before removing certain areas to get my ideal shape! I even had baby hairs around my forehead that I wanted to remove (but never have done before) and she was able to clean it up so beautifully and give me my desired hairline. What can I say? Sabi is seriously the best!!! I'm Asian so I don't have full eyebrows (in fact mines are very thin) and take forever to grow so you can imagine my years of distress from overplucking and then worse having to go outside with razor thin eye brows for weeks. I've tried waxing, but it doesn't do anything for me since I already have thin eyebrows so it's hard for anyone to get the little in between hairs. After reading many reviews I stumbled upon Sabi and it was seriously a life changer. Now I no longer have to worry about my eyebrows and just let Sabi do her magic. I've already been here 6 times and everytime I am very happy with the results. She shapes my along the natural line, but what I really like is how she gets the little hairs so everything looks so clean, but also somehow makes my eyebrows look fuller too! Now if you don't have thin eyebrows like me I still recommend coming here because she knows what she's doing, so you are definitely in safe hands. You can also tell her before she starts what you want too (in case you want something different) and she'll definitely deliver. Also bonus she's so nice!! Just a note she did move locations so before I would park at Heidi's pie, but now that she moved down the street parking can still be a bit tough. So I recommend coming in a bit early to find street parking (or if your coming in for just your eyebrows, since it's so fast you can just park at Goodwill). Also I recommend bringing cash. I was in the area around 12:45pm on a Thursday and was trying to find a threading place that could accommodate me ASAP (right before my nail appt at 2:15pm). I called to inquire about my brows and Sabi offered an appt at 2pm, which was too late for me. I politely declined, and she said she could squeeze me in at 1pm. Heck ya! Street parking was easy as a lot of people were coming and going. Sabi was super sweet, made me feel comfortable, and took her time on my brows. Con: Parking is very difficult -- either street parking on El Camino, 2 spots reserved in a cramped lot, or (most likely) you have to park at Heidi's and walk over. If you miss the salon/can't find parking, you have to drive pretty far on El Camino before you can circle back and try again -- took me 15 minutes to find a spot. It's been difficult to find a good and cheap eyebrow threading spot in the bay since I've moved from LA where it was only $6. After making a few phonecalls, I decided to come here for a same day appointment. Sabina and Laxmi operate within a hair salon. The entire process was quick and I was done within 10 minutes. Although Laxmi did a good job on my brows, it was extremely painful for me.
