We had an amazing experience. Our server was friendly and helpful. She checked on our desired spice level to make sure we were good. I appreciated that a lot cuz I am a wuss with spice! Great quality of food and super tasty.

My review today is for the Lunch Buffet which my daughter and I enjoyed. (My grandchildren ordered their favorites off the menu.) Familiar with the food via takeout, we wanted to check out the lunch buffet which is offered from 11:30-3:00. Turns out, it was better than expected. We often like buffets when available because we can sample/enjoy a variety of dishes by trying a small amount. Go back if more is wanted. We were pleased with the selections available including Chimichangas, Beef Tortillas, chicken or beef with peppers and onions etc. When the bill came, I was surprised to see that the cost of the buffet is only $10.99. It is a good value for the food served which included lots of chicken and tender beef. There were also rice and beans on the buffet as expected. The buffet included a great VARIETY of typical Mexican toppings to customize your taco or tortilla or BOWL. Taco bowls were available on the buffet to make your own. I ordered flour tortillas for myself which only cost $1.50. The only dish we did not like was the Pork with Green Chile. I thought the Chile sauce tasted bitter and the pork was a little fatty. We ordered the guacamole app because we think it is delicious! It never disappoints. Salsa and warm chips were delivered to the table when we sat down. We sat at a large table in the center dining area near the patio. We had our choice of where to sit. A door to the patio was open and a wonderful breeze made our lunch even more pleasant. Service was outstanding -- attentive, efficient, and friendly. I left a 25% tip. There is ample parking plus several handicapped parking spaces near the entrance. We each enjoyed our lunches. We will return for lunch as well as continue to order take out.

For consistently good food and customer service I highly recommend this restaurant. Sabor Azteca is our go to anytime we are craving Mexican food. Last night my husband and I had a delightful meal with a sweet and very attentive server. It's definitely a great place to go for dinner if you are trying to beat the upstate winter blues. As soon as you enter you are welcomed by the friendly staff with music and a jovial atmosphere. Their complimentary chips and salsa are served almost immediately and so good. If you like spicy food I highly recommend their house made hot sauce. Enjoy!!!

Food is pretty good but the last visit left me a bit underwhelmed. It's your typical Mexican restaurant in upstate NY but with a larger, more interesting menu. Normally the execution is very good but the dish I ordered today was a bit lacking, the Bistec A La Mexicana. Beef was tough, no cilantro to speak of, and not much Serrano peppers, perhaps not even Serrano peppers? Not until I was half way done with my meal did I realized tortilla wasn't brought to me. Not a big deal but annoying. Service was reasonably attentive. Refilled waters. Also, be aware that they charge extra if you do not pay with cash. They do let you know that on the bill though so it isn't a surprise. I don't carry much cash normally so I charged it anyway as it's more convenient for me. I do remember having a better meal in the past, I think that was the Carne Asada. Will have to get that again.

Good Mexican food. Reasonable prices. Good service as long as they are not too busy. They seem generally short staffed.

There are other Mexican restaurants closer to Albany with some great vegan options and I would even say they are owned by the same parent company. Typically the reason we go to La Fiesta in Clifton Park is because we are meeting someone who isn't vegan and we're finding a place we can all find something on the menu. La Fiesta boasts several vegan options on the menu, they even have vegan cheese and seitan (meat substitute). Many places will just give you a bean and vegetable option and omit the cheese and sour cream but charge you the same price and call it vegan. The service is great, the waiter was very attentive. The one thing that caught me off guard was when I asked for hot sauce, he asked me bottled or house-made? I thought, house-made sounds like something I need to try and ordered it. He could have warned us it would be $2 extra, I still would have said yes but we were surprised to see it on the bill. I enjoyed my potato and spinach enchilada dish and my wife had a good amount of guacamole and chips before her Vegan Fajita Quesadilla arrived. The quesadilla was one large tortilla folded over in half and stuffed with peppers, onions, and mushrooms and what should be vegan cheese. She only ate a quarter wedge and a few bites of rice before she was full. As we felt fine driving home but I started to experience heartburn which since being on a plant-based diet for nearly 10 years only happens when I eat something non-vegan. My wife was sick during the night and throughout the entire following day. We are convinced there was some cross contamination in the food or worse, her quesadilla was made with real dairy cheese. This isn't the first time we haven't felt well leaving La Fiesta's Clifton Park location. Maybe it wasn't a fluke and there is room for improvement in kitchen practices to prevent cross contamination, maybe we just have bad luck. We can't keep going there if we're going to get sick everytime. If you don't have food allergies or sensitivities I'm sure you'll be fine. Otherwise La Fiesta really lives up to the name. Friday evening, the restaurant was packed, there were people waiting at the door, drinks were flowing, and the music fun.

We went because of the reviews. Mistake. They do a great job with their photos (whoever is doing…read moretheir social media should be congratulated), which bear very little resemblance to the food. We arrived on opening time (noon, not eleven, be aware) very excited to taste unusual things like empadanitas. Wanted to try the tacos Supreme, guacamole, homemade chips, and a few other things. The first indication of trouble? No guacamole. Nice lady behind the counter gestured to the fridge and said the avocados hadn't ripened. What were they doing in the fridge?! Second issue - no ice. Come on, folks, it's the first day of a holiday weekend! And then, out of crispy tacos. Wait. It's all supposed to be home made. How can you be out of crispy taco shells if you make them from tortillas yourself? The beef tacos (not crispy) were okay. The pico de gallo was almost all onion, which makes sense if you shop and know onion is cheap and tomatoes cost more. The empadanitas tasted and looked like they'd come out of a freezer - supposed to be chicken and potato, but I couldn't for the life of me find anything but slightly mashed potatoes in them. We broke one in half, each had a taste, then left the rest. Found out the guac and chips could be had as just chips and pico de gallo - for the same price! Seriously, since when does fresh avocado cost the same as a pico de gallo made mainly of raw onion? On top of that, I asked if the mild salsa was avocado as advertised. Yes. But there are no avocados? Is it fresh? Yes. (Rolling eyes.) Tostada. Crisp tortilla bottom (what a surprise. So it is possible.), small amount of what tasted like American cheese, cubed chicken (no, it couldn't be fresh, the pieces were all exactly the same size), grease, followed by... you guessed it. Onion with a smattering of tomato and a lot of something green that should have been cilantro but had no taste. The chips tasted home made, but cooked to the point where they were hard to bite into. Mainly, we were stunned at a bill totaling almost $60 (with tip) when we left most of our food and no one even bothered to say "Was everything okay?" let alone try to fix things. Maybe it was a different cook? Maybe they close during holidays? But this food was awful. This area isn't a hotbed of great Mexican or South or Central American food. Most people are happy with places like LaFiesta, okay. But from the reviews we'd thought this would be pretty authentic. It was anything but.

This was the second occasion of my being invited by someone who was celebrating their birthday there. I'm not a big fan of chicken wings so I also don't consider myself a connoisseur. On this visit there were nine of us celebrating the birthday boy's 65th. I figured I was entitled to seven wings from the six different flavors that were ordered. I was satisfied after tasting just one from each flavor. All the wings were very crispy and the flats were a bit moister than the drums. In fact, my least favorite was a parmesan garlic drumstick. It came with no sauce, so it seemed extra dry. Treating the wings as my appetizer, I ordered The Heater from their Specialty Sandwiches and substituted sweet potato fries for regular fries. Served in a toasted hoagie were shaved Italian steak, sauteed peppers, onions, jalapeños, queso cheese, and melted pepper jack. My first thought was that the hoagie was going to be too massive and too much bread. But to my surprise, the bread was so fresh and soft that it easily compressed around the filling allowing the filling to be the star of each bite. The steak was tender and flavorful, there was not too much spiciness from the various peppers, and there was plenty of moisture. The sandwich was served while still very hot as were the sweet potato fries. Wings and sandwich, all went well with my pint of Guinness. They do not take reservations and will not seat your party until all members of your party are present. They will add you to the waiting list before all of your party is present. Once we were added to the waitlist it was thirty minutes before the rest of our party arrived due to traffic delays. It was then another thirty minutes before we were seated. This was a Tuesday starting about 5:30 p.m. I'd suggest aiming for a weekday after lunch if you have more than four people in a birthday celebration. Staff are well experienced with these situations and are friendly and helpful.

It's dismal inside, a combination of dark, dreary, colors and low lighting, almost as lackluster as the greeting I got (at least I got one). There's a few things here I still like. I got good service as I moved from employee to employee, down the line as my burrito was built. I still enjoy their salsas and the pico and guacamole I got on my burrito. That was about it though. At checkout, they put my burrito in a bag, and I mentioned that I was eating in. My reply was, "But you get a complimentary bag of chips!" Wouldn't I get the chips anyway? Why didn't they want me to have a tray, I saw others carrying their orders to tables on them. I'm sure they don't make their chips in-house, and they were pretty dismal as well. More than half of them were broken (maybe from having a burrito dropped on them?), and a lot of them were dark/burnt and/or greasy. You know what rhymes with "dismal?" That would be "abysmal," which is how I'd describe the Coke-products machine... or rather, today, the lack-of-Coke-products machine. Probably 2/3 of the product lights were dark, and if you tapped them, "unavailable" flashed over them. Your only options today were Coke, Sprite, Fanta, and Minute Maid. On a more humorous note, the paper towel dispenser in the men's room would dispense a 3 foot long sheet of towel followed by bright flashing lights.
