I went with my family for Christmas Eve dinner. It was fine. They seemed to be busy getting the place ready for a party that was starting later in the night so they seemed a little distracted. They forgot some of the things we ordered but eventually brought them. The food was ok, while I enjoyed the fish some of my family members were left underwhelmed with the portions and the taste. The food is good and if you're young and vibing they music is good too. A little too loud but I think its also a bar so, thats normal. No complains in the restaurant but when they do concerts, there is no regulation on where VIP with tables, regular tickets and VIP stand up. No matter where you're sitting if you're not right in front you won't be able to see or enjoy the concert. Whats the point of having VIP tickets with tables near the entrance and far from the stage? First it took 25 minutes to get some water and 3 drinks, then because of COVID19 they asked us to move our table a little further back (which is fine), but our waitress didn't wait, grabbed the table (yes with all the drinks on it) and pulled it, causing the ENTIRE Pina Colada to spill all over me and my partner. Apologies were barely given, and we had to ASK for a new drink instead of the one that spilled, and the second drink came with no alcohol (after it took another 15 minutes for it to arrive) And this is not the end- our food arrived 2 meals at a time with 10 minutes of waiting in between, and when the last plate arrived it was WRONG, the waitress came back and blamed US for ordering the wrong thing. Went yesterday with the family to celebrate a birthday. It looked large from the outside but was actually a bit small on the inside. We were seated quickly and given menus. Loved how they had a little iPad with images of all menu items - helped me decide between two dishes I was thinking of ordering. We (party of 6) shared the meat Picada and still had a little left over! The portions are a real healthy size. The grilled chicken and beef were soft and tender. The wings and potatoes were crispy. Definitely would order again. For my entree I got the chaulafan which was basically a really nice fried rice kind of deal. It was seasoned really well and had a nice amount of chicken, beef and veggies. Thought they could have added a few more shrimp, but overall very delicious. For dessert we shared a tiramisu and passion fruit custard - both were solid and tasty. Overall the service was friendly and speedy. Everyone was super nice and the food was delicious! Came here for my mother's birthday, I made a reservation and paid $40 per person for an event happening this Saturday night. They separate the venue in half, the half close to the stage where the acts are belongs to people who pay for bottle service ($200-500/bottle) and the other half away from the stage is for the people who opt for no bottle service. I'm surprised they pack the place up, but they really had people that werent sitting clammed up in there for the event. The manager was a mess, our waitress kept her cool and did her best, the food was very good, I recommend the sea sampler, fried fish was delicious. Had the steak dinner and it was great, my sister had the civiche and no complaints (very picku eater). All in all, I wouldn't recommend coming to this place for an event. I went there the other night for a birthday celebration and I am not a complainer by any means but there were so many people in there that you couldn't walk. It took me 30 minutes to move 5 feet through the front door because it was not packed. I am glad they have that sort of business but they need to have some limits on everything for fire code violations. Ok, so I came back with the same friend who is Ecuadorian. I was feeling quite sick but she assured me I can find good options that wouldn't make me nauseous. We both ordered tomate de arbol in water-something she's been telling me about for the longest time. Wow! It doesn't taste like a tomato. Perhaps a mix of a salty mango with a spash of tomato. It was fantastic. The waitress suggested the shrimp soup over the seafood soup. OMG the shrimp soup is in my top 5 list of soups I've ever had in my life. The broth was savory, almost like a veggie broth and there were hot chuncks of tomatoes, cilantro and huge, plump shrimps. The shrimps were cooked to perfection!!!!! It also came with a side of rice which you can dip into the soup to make it more filling. It made my throat feel better. My friend ordered the chilled shrimp in a ceviche style dish. Sabor offers Ecuadorian food that's like a mix of the best Colombian & Peruvian food. They have a huge drink menu with a bunch of specialty drinks, beers and a full bar. Their mojitos are really fresh and all of their drinks come a little strong. Hmm...maybe they're stronger than I think since I drink aguardiente like nothing. There's not one thing I can say that was underwhelming or bad here. Every appetizer and entree (we share) was delicious. My sis made a point to eat every little grain of rice that came with her shrimp parrilla lol Service is really good too. Everyone kinda stands off to the side just waiting to bounce over to get you whatever, and both times our server was cool with a good personality. The decor is good too. It's mostly white inside with some dim lighting, and near the DJ area it seems they have a fog machine. It creates a good effect with the lighting. My review is strictly based on the Night life/ Club aspect of Sabor Latino. I have neither eaten dinner nor lunch at this establishment. Sabor Latino scheduled Orq. Guayacan to perform... We paid $35.00 admission and approximately $240.00 for the "VIP" bottle service. Only one size available 750 mll. For table service regardless of your group size. Difficult to down a 750 by two people... Regardless we bought the bottle because we would be able to sit within 10 or 15 feet of the stage. Long frustrating story short, 11 pm, 12 a.m. 1:00a.m. and No Guayacan. 1:30 a.m. someone from Sabor Latino finally made an announcement that Orq. Guayacan would not be performing. Very disappointing. Sabor Latino ONLY refunded the purchase price of the admission tickets. They were very unapologetic with the whole situation. I can't complain but after a long day of work I wanted to relax and with the loud music we couldnt even hear . The music was okay. I don't speak Spanish but their were some songs I knew. I really loved my drink the "remy lover" I love remy so I was so happy they had a mixed drink (not alot of places have). Also very strong so worth the money .
