This karaoke spot is just located minutes away from Flushing and is a great spot for parties! My room easily fit 10 people and my friends and I had a super fun time singing our hearts out! We got a drink package which came with a bottle of hard liquor of our choice as well as other drinks like teas and water and also some fruits and appetizers! They have typically fried foods like fried chicken and calamari but they also have some chef specialties! Their menu is still updating but we got to try some of their specialties like the cumin lamb chops, scallops with vermicelli and stir fried spicy clams! Because they opened recently, the service was pretty slow (we had to wait a while to order the food because of other parties that night) but I appreciated the consistent check ins and they made sure we had enough to drink and eat at the end. Also FYI most of the staff only speaks mandarin! And another tip, parking is free (it is validated)! read more

F this place! I never received my drinks all night after having gone to the front desk to order it and going to the front desk at least 3 times asking where my drinks were. Probably the best Karaoke in Flushing! But there is only one thing they need to improve. Location: Located in Bayside, the KTV is inside the building. The parking is huge but you have to pay for it. The interior is nice, gold plated and large rooms. Service: due to language barrier, it is hard to communicate but they are patient and nice. It is $20/hour, the problem is the songs, they don't have Filipino. Lol. Food: here is the thing they have to improve. The price is consumable, so we had $60 for 3 hours, but the food is not that great. The fishballs, chicken wings, chicken popcorn and spicy beef with rice are very small serving and not that great and mostly $10 per order so our $60 gone by that fast. The yakult drink is good but still $10! Price rating: 4 out of 10. $20/hour is a good price!! Clean and huge rooms! I'd definitely come back here! They have to improve on their food. read more

Place and decor was good. We had a $60 per hour medium room for three hours. Their policy is you can purchase food and drinks same worth of your room fee (for us up to $180), and pay for exceeded parts. One thing is that young man messed up by claiming our credit was $150. Have to say I am disappointed, we were treated very rudely for our first time here. They lead us to the room without giving us any kind of demonstration or telling us how anything works, we are stuck trying to change the language and find American songs for the first 20 minutes which took away from the room fee we paid. Next they tell us that water and fruit is covered under the room fee, but when they came back a few minutes later they say no it's not. We order drinks from the menu where it says "not recommended for pregnant women or if you just got surgery" because that clearly implies they are alcoholic, surprise they were not, what a scam. Then a girl comes and tells us we have 15 minutes left and if we want to extend our time, we tell her we will decide when the 15 minutes are up, she ROLLS HER EYES at us and 2 min later she comes back and says actually your time is up, the computer is wrong. (???) also at least 18% tip is mandatory even if you don't order anything. So much wrong with this place, don't give them your business, there are so many other better karaoke places than this. read more

Brand new place to go for karaoke. Rooms are Clean and with a private bathroom in each suite. Prices are per hour depending the size of the room you are requesting. and whatever the amount counts towards food and beverage. I prefer to go during Happy Hour Special which is from 1pm-7pm, i can get a large room for under $80. Can sing for 5 hours and still be able to drink and eat in the room. Music wise is mostly Chinese. Some up to date English (no ol school music), Some popular Japanese and Koreans but not a huge selection. Spanish only less than 40 songs available. Wireless microphone with a small stage for you to sing like a STAR!. If you are a VIP member (Which cost $50 a year). You will get discounts in drinks and food wise on the menu, is listed accordingly. Parking is complimentary as long as you get it stamped. I will rate 4 stars for the decorative rooms. but something has been happen to me and also my friends. one time happen to me that I had ordered 3 times 24 bottle of beer and the server had charged me the package price but only send me 1 fruit platter. Worst service we've ever received. Waited an hour for a bottle of beer, and even more for 15 "handmade" dumplings. The bathrooms didn't have soap, and the karaoke room literally spelled like a porta-potty. They insisted that the small, medium, and large rooms were not available when the place was clearly empty. The staff barely understood what we asked and that's completely fine if they didn't have attitude or acted like they didn't care to try and understand what we were saying. Our room cost us $60 and hour and although the money we used could be put in for food that was clearly overpriced, we would've rather went to the buffet next door to have a nice meal than to eat their overpriced reheated frozen food. Waste of money. Here's the best part: while we were paying, they were hovering over us watching us as we were signing the papers to see how much we would tip. We had to ask two times for them not to just stand there. That was the last straw, they were lucky enough they got any tip from us. In the end they chased us down and practically forced us to pay tip saying first that we didn't tip then resorting to say that it's "service charge". fun place, great rooms, OK room prices (the food/beverage price is crazy high lol but its normal for these types of places), decent tasting food, great songs, good equipment, but i do hate how smell (cigarette smoke) travels from other rooms to ours. My new favorite KTV place. It reminds me of the nice ones in China - large, grand lobby and nicely decorated rooms. Even the small rooms feel spacious. Service was good, sound system was excellent, song selection is comparable to a lot of other KTV places in Flushing. Only downside is the food and drinks tend to be slightly more expensive, but the room rates are quite affordable so just sing longer? There is also a free parking lot - just make sure you get validated. It's not in the main Flushing area, but that also means it's not as packed and I haven't had an issue booking rooms so far. read more

This place needs to train its employees on how to serve customers. Pros: nice room Cons: the room smells like cheap off brand cleaning fluid, the hallways stink, the song options are limited, the bathrooms have no soap or toilet paper in them, awful service and food. My friends and I came here and we were given the most expensive room. We asked if the others were available and they insisted that they weren't. It was $60/ hr and a 3 hour minimum. Fine. We did it. Upon entering the room we were overwhelmed with the smell of a bathroom, we ordered beers and some food. It took an hour to get the beer and an order of dumplings... the food tasted gross and the fries didn't even have ketchup. The waiters didn't understand anything you say or ask, and this place doesn't even provide tap water if you ask... very bad service. For this- we tipped 10% of the bill. We were chased out and harassed by the staff about a tip and "18% service charge that was mandatory". On our bill it came up at straight $160. If you have a service charge that should be included in the bill already. Otherwise a tip is based on quality of service. They harassed my friends for a whileee outside about this and my friends unfortunately gave in just to be able to leave. I'm never coming here again. read more

After the transaction was posted on my credit card, I called chase card service on Jan 28th to dispute the extra 3% tip that I was forced to pay. The representative suggested me to do full-amount dispute but I insisted that I only need the 3% tip ($1.44) back. Since it was late in the afternoon, chase told me they would inform the KTV next day (Jan 29th). Then on Jan the 30th, my credit card had 2 unauthorized transactions at MTA MetroCard machine with a total of more than $200. Here comes the funniest thing: this card was applied less than 1 month ago, everywhere else I used the card was inserting the chip except in this store where they swipe the magnetic strip and asked me for my ID which gave them the chance to know my zip code for this card, and now the old card is still in my possession so it's not some random thief stole my wallet and used the card. I'm not identifying anyone here, but have informed chase and they had started a fraud investigation. Also, I have filed the credit card fraud case at NYPD. Let's see what will happen next. read more

With our collective experience at DIY on Roosevelt Ave, my friends and I were very skeptical at this place. However, we had to admit that we were pleasantly surprised at the costs, facilities and services at this location. We highly recommend this location to people who are looking to karaoke with quality facilities at a relatively cheap price. We came here on a Friday evening after making a spontaneous decision to go karaoke. We hunted around for different places for 6 people and the prices quoted were consistently above $55 per hour. This location initially quoted us at $50 per hour for a "wonderland room", which appears to the extra large room. On our second phone call to the location, we were offered the medium room at $30 per hour after some customers cancelled their reservation so we took the room at a heartbeat. This location, as compared to the Roosevelt Ave location, is a bit out of the way. However, it does provide shuttle services to customers based on certain criteria (e.g. one round-trip on a per room basis, Flushing area only, etc.) Upon arrival, we were able to find street parking right across the street so we did not have to park in the onsite parking lot. However, we later found out that it offers free parking to all of its customers with validation from the front desk. The facilities were brand new and were very well decorated. The staff were very attentive and polite to the customers. The song selections were pretty good given that they covered English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean and Japanese. Given that we do not go karaoke often enough, picking a song was a bit confusing at first but we managed. Otherwise, we had a fun-filled experience at this location. One important item to note is that there is a MANDATORY service charge of 18% that is automatically calculated for you on the bill and such charge must be paid in CASH. So make sure you have enough cash before going. Another item to note is that the food and beverages are on credits which means that the hourly charges offset the amount spent on food and beverages. For example, in our case, we incurred $60 in room charges and ordered $61 worth of food and beverages. We only had to pay $61 in total given that the first $60 worth of food and beverages were covered by the room charge. read more

The food they provide (especially the rice plates) not only are incredibly good, it even looks like your eating at a high class restaurant. Too many problems with this place: 1. other customers not flushing the toilet, leaving urine all over the seat and floor, including bathrooms adjacent to reserved rooms 2. employees not speaking english (seems like they only cater to mandarin speaking mainlanders 3. the place stinks of cigarette smoke 4. poor song-selection screen interface, keyboard does let you input characters like quotes and single quotes that english-language songs contains, and does not have a good selection of english-language songs, which goes back to the main theme of all the problems here, if you don't fit their demographic, piss off. read more

The best KTV that I have ever been , different design of every room , great service !

Honestly the room itself was very spacious and nice. You can control the lights and whatnot to set the mood for karaoke and very nice acoustics. However, that was the only thing positive about this place. First off, the room we were placed into smelled like bleach or pine Sol. The prices for the food and beverage were ridiculous. I'm talking $10 for beer and $7 for water-no tap! They give you $160~ credit for food and beverage but you get through that rather quickly with the prices here. The staff spoke very little English and most of the signs were in Chinese symbols which none of us understood. This resulted in a very heated argument regarding service charge (I believe they said it was 18% of the bill) because apparently it was part of the agreement we signed before getting a room but said service charge was in VERY tiny print and was not clear in writing! The writing seemed to indicate that the service charge was not mandatory and we did not feel they deserved any tip whatsoever so we didn't put the 18% that was SUGGESTED. So they chased us and basically didn't let us go until we paid $20. There are definitely better karaoke places in flushing with better service and prices. read more
