Papusad while on vacation, yes they can. A small restaurant but big on service and personality. I talked with one of the Chefs about my vegetables that accompanied my papusad. I hadn't seen that color before. She told me that was her intent and that it is her calling card. We talked about how different places have different representations of the papusad. She is a fan and a Chef , try her interpretation. I have traveled around and met plenty of types. This could be one of the best that I have had. Not sure of how crowded this place gets but we had the run of the place while we were there.parking on the front/street could be difficult due to a availability, but the rear parking seems sufficient. read more

Wife has been asking to eat some Mexican and after some looking around, came across this place so I thought I'd give it a try. I really want to like small family owned establishments but I just can't recommend it. The good: the place looks small from the outside but is actually fairly spacious inside. Honestly it was quite perplexing the size difference I saw inside. It was clean, lots of seating. I like how they have pictures of their dishes, on the walls and on the menu. It makes it a lot easier for me to pick out a dish. Lastly, the lady at the counter was very nice and welcoming. These are the reasons I gave it two stars instead of one. The bad: there's not a lot of street parking. I found it hard to pick a dish but ultimately decided on their tacos. Saw they had beef, pork and chicken so asked for one of each. She asked if I said I wanted 2 beef but I said no, one of each.. three total. The reason I'm mentioning this conversation is because I did not get what I ordered. I ordered to go so I didn't see it til I got home. What did I get? Remember how I mentioned she asked if I said 2 beef? Well what I got was 4 chicken tacos. 4.. chicken.. tacos. Not only did I not get one of each meat taco (chicken, beef and pork) like I asked, I got all chicken and an extra one on that. Checking the price I paid, I believe I was also charged an extra taco too. It's crazy how off the mark she was when making my order. And the crazy thing was, there was no one else there!!! You'd think she'd put more effort to the only patron there. That's what boggles my mind. My wife ordered the taco salad. It's nothing to write home about. I did like the taco bowl it came in. The chicken tacos themselves were better than the taco salad but it had a lot of tortilla. They did stuff it with meat and veggies though I'll give them that. Overall the food was ok, but the mess up on the order killed the experience for me. I will not be returning. read more

What a horror story it was ordering take out at Sabor Salvadoreno. Last night we traveled to Revere to visit family for the holiday. We decided that we wanted to grab some pupusas, so we decided to order from this restaurant. At first the service was great and the gentleman who answered the phone was polite. We were told 15 minutes for the massive order we placed and in the end it took roughly 40 minutes to complete. The wait time wasn't the issue, the issue was what we discovered when we got home. When we got home we noticed that we were missing two tacos. In the grand scheme of things two tacos isn't crazy, but for almost $3 a taco we decided to call and ask for the pair. When we called back a female employee picked up and began to argue with us about the order. She specifically stated that they didn't make a mistake and went as far as to tell us to bring the whole order back so that she could inspect it. We ended up getting in the car and while on the way back to the restaurant we were contacted by the first employee who apologize for accidently giving us the wrong order of tacos. We eventually picked up the missing tacos as returned home. As we dug into our food we realized that we were not provide the correct order (we asked for 9 tacos de lengua and only received 6 and our pupusas were not correct either.) On top of that, the pupusas were terrible due to the fact that the filling had burst from the pupusas and it literally was a meat flavored masa patty. In the end, the food was not worth the cost, one of the staff members was rude and they couldn't get anything in the order right. Again, not worth the $80 we spent as well as the hassle of having to travel back and forth to fight for the correct order. Next time we will head to Chelsea instead of ordering from here. read more

So this place opened up recently so I had to give it a shot. The customer service was very attentive and on point, answered any questions I had. I ended up getting a picada which is a combo of meats and some fries and chips. But it lacked that meat punch to it which is very key. I was very disappointed on the lack of various meats this should of came with but came with more fries and chips than anything else. Chopped up hot dog instead of sausage very little steak and pork just not what I was expecting. Not to mention no rice or beans just plain not great. Can't speak for the other food I hope that's much better than this plate. read more

I moved to Revere with my husband few month ago. And we have drove pass this place so many times. I was very exited to try the food. We got marinated beef, pappusas and pork quesadilla. We also ordered guacamole but they had to refund us because they were out. That's not a big deal I was completely fine with that. Marinated beef was good , pappusas were okay but the quesadilla was horrible. If I have just ordered the beef and pappusas I would have been happy with a 4 star review but common how can you mess up quesadilla? It was so greasy I took one bite and threw away the rest , my husband refused to try it. I personally will not go there again. But the total was 30 dollars for those three items and I do not think it's a whole lot for a dinner take out for two . I would recommend you guys try it and form your own opinion. read more

They've never disappointed. Ive gotten pupusas, burritos, and many different entres and its always been correct and delicious. The a la cart is good too. Ordering in spanish is easier, but I think you can also order in English. read more

My dad would call ahead of time to order pupusas, and when we got home, there was NO CHEESE pupusas. Same thing happened the second, and third time. So we had enough. Also, BE AWARE when swiping your debit/credit card twice. Because they say you won't get charged, but my mom got charged the second time, and when she went in with the proof for them to give her back the $25, they called her a liar. At the end, she got her money back but they gave my mom attitude, and Esmeralda, the boss, didn't even apologize for all the disrespect. So rude! Don't go here. read more
