Recently ordered a catering order here and was very happy with the service and food. The red headed girl that was taking my order was super nice and attentive and they were very willing to make substitutions to the order that were not part of the catering order. The coffee was delicious too! The place has lively music and an upbeat atmosphere just like their other locations in South Florida. I haven't really had a full Venezuelan meal before and this first experience is amazing. Started with the hervido de res, super flavorful but also really light to the stomach, the beef is very tender and every ingredient is delicious. First time ever eating cachapa and it is sooo good - I knew cachapa is like a "corn cake", but I always thought it is like using corn flour but in fact it is actual sweet corn made into skin that is covered by different types of cheese, and I added shredded beef to mine which makes it even better. Came in to meet a friend and chat over breakfast. We ordered tequeños and breakfast americano with perico eggs, so delicious. I forgot to take a pic but basically the eggs are scrambled with onions and veggies. They have tons of empanadas and pastries and juices to choose from. A pretty big menu to select from for all kinds of food not just breakfast. The lady was nice and took our order fast. I would've preferred to be checked on a little more often since it felt like we were waiting a little and didn't know we had to go up to pay the bill. The food was yummy so I'd come back. While there it did get pretty busy, it's not a huge place so it sounded pretty loud but it was around lunch time and felt nice that people can't hear the conversation although tables are close. read more

I payed $40 for one cacchapa and one arepa. It was way too pricey compared to other Venezuelan restaurants. The food was good and good portions. It's very small and seating is limited too. The food here was delicious! We didn't speak much Spanish and the staff didn't speak much English, but they were so friendly in helping to suggest a few items and everything was a hit. Patacon: meat and cheese between two fried plantains Cachapa: a sweet and savory dish with a sweet corn meal dough and lots and lots of cheese. A must try! I made an order to go and it was ready in 15 min. But when I got there, they spent a few minutes looking for my order. After they finally found it, I went to my car and noticed it was missing green sauce. I went back inside and she gave it to me. This isn't a big problem but would be nice if they were more prepared. The food was great! The tequeños were very tasty. The pabellon was delicious but the meat and rice was a tiny bit more salty than normal. But wasn't enough to be bad. I would come here again. Everything was delicious im a fan and will be visiting their Houston location moving forward. The arepas were filled with tons of meat I thought it was a gordita lol. Excellent flavor Venezuelan food. Everything taste awesome. Ana and Milagros are excellent servers very kind and knowledgeable about their products. I was Orlando for vacations and could not resist to visit the place a couple times. The Cachapa with cheese and nata (corn baked mix white cheese and traditional Venezuelan cream), the arepas, the empanadas and the Criollo Breakfast with Perico (scrambled eggs with tomato and onion, grated), white Venezuelan cheese, black beans shredded beef (carne mechada) were stupendous. read more

I have been a loyal customer of sabor Venezolano longer than most of their current employees. I eat here at least once a week, their food is truly very good. But their service?.. it's been lacking for quite some time now. It's disheartening to see, especially as such a constant recurring issue. As of lately it seems as if most if not all employees have no experience in customer service. Today I ordered through the phone as I usually do, they know me by name here. So I had asked for a chicken with no salt as I always do. The woman taking my order straight out told me "the chicken already comes with salt" I said that can't be because I've already ordered this a thousand times. "No we can't do it without it." I asked her really? Please ask. She said fine and left me in hold for 5 minutes and never came back, I hung up and called again. This time another woman attended me and I ordered like normal. But the woman (from the first call) had so much attitude that I asked for her name. I later got off to get my order and asked again who was the woman. They said they didn't know. So I ask all three workers who it was because surely one would know or either be her. Areli (black hair, glasses, tan skin) finally told me "yes it was me." But she laughed in my face and then continued her attitude even after I confronted her. The owner was right next on the side but even then he didn't butt into the conversation at all. He didn't apologize or ask what was wrong. They hadn't even apologized until a long time after. There was no genuine remorse from what I've felt a huge disrespect building up for a long time now. Completely disregarded as a customer. This really is disappointing that after such a long time they still don't seem to value their costumers.. I don't think I'll be returning at least not anytime soon that's for sure. And I recommend that you not go, and subject yourself to such necessary disrespect. read more

Good authentic Venezuelan food. Small place, but popular and can be be busy at lunch time. This was our first time Trying this cuisine .It was recommended by our Venezolano Uber driver. We only tried the Arepa which was recommended by him. A thick corn tortilla stuffed with shredded pork. It was so overstuffed we couldn't finish it and took the rest home.We'll be back to try some other dishes. read more

Dissapointing to say the least...Cachapa was raw, pernil was almost jerky (so dry and old), carne mechada w/o flavor, arepas 2 or 3 days old...Service was very nice, and im huge contrast with the food. Not worth the drive..stay away.. read more
