Ordered from here for team lunches regularly now. I know their outward appearance might scare off some people but to the foodies out there, or those looking for good Spanish food, you got to try it! Their service is great and fast, but more importantly their food is mouth watering good. It always leaves me with a craving to come back and a full stomach ready to tackle the rest of my workday. My favorites have consisted of a Cuban sandwich which is full of pork and sauce and toasted nicely. It also does not fall apart when eating which is a plus when you are trying to stay looking presentable. Their pork is amazingly juicy and just falls apart in your mouth and has been worth every stain I have accidentally caused on my dress shirts. The white rice is fluffy and simple and good but their yellow rice is much better with many items. Their chicharron de cerdo is crispy and breaks easy and it's never been hard or chewy. Their ropa vieja is also delicious and I can't help but devour the entire plate. The rice and beans paired real good with this! My favorite sides have been the avocado salad and their macaroni salad! Both very light and balanced well with light citrus flavors in the avocado salad. I'll keep coming back here because the food honestly reminds me of so many great dishes my family use to make at home and after eating at so many places around Orlando I had yet to find a better place to get Spanish food like this! read more

I stopped by for coffee and lunch cause my car was next door getting done. I picked up a lunch box meal with white rice, chicharron and some beans. I also ordered a coffee. Everything was $13. I really enjoy this food. Anytime i am in this area, i stop here for food whether i am hungry or not. Very flavorful food. This is a Dominican Restaurant served cafeteria style i would say (like chipotle). Prices are very good compared to the amount of food you get. This establishment speaks both Spanish and English and the food is authentic. I usually get the white rice, pinto beans, plantain and shredded beef. Amazing service from the order to the pick up. The order was taken accurately and they even double checked to ensure my items were gluten free (most Latin cuisine is). I appreciate the extra concern. The classics like pollo guisado and Ropa Vieja were tasty and tender. The rice with peas and beans was excellent. The plantains were over cooked and oily, so I skipped those. The inside has plenty of seating and the dood is served assembly-line style but they also have cooked to order options. I got a bacon egg and cheese and it was tasty. The portion sizes are large and the tres leches cake is DELICIOUS! I am only docking a star because it took 30 mins to make my breakfast sandwich even though there were only 2 other people in the restaurant. Ready-made food is still nice and warm, I ordered the "tres goldpes" which is mangu with pickled onions, fried salami, fried cheese and a fried egg. This was about $10. Wow. Generous servings that was a great introduction to Dominican cuisine with items we tried for the first time that were so delicious and wholesome, all for a fair price. There are different plate options that allow you to customize your plate. We also got a Cuban sandwich that did not skimp on the meat, but I wish had more sauce. Our dessert of choice was probably the best tres leches I've ever had- a delicate and moist cake with just the right amount of sweetness that wasn't too sugary. So the amount of times I have driven past this place on a daily basis but not stop by...is very mind boggling to me! I recently had the opportunity to finally try out this place for lunch and it definitely was a solid option. The restaurant is located on a small strip mall on OBT and from the outside it definitely looked smaller than what actually was on the inside. The restaurant had a good amount of seating and looked very bright and clean with very homey decor. When you first enter into the door it takes you directly into the waiting line where you pick and choose the items you want "cafeteria style". They had every traditional dish you could think of including different rices and meats to choose from! Me being the indecisive person that I am...could not make up my mind. I ended up getting multiple things. For my entree, I got the pernil (pork) , arroz con gandules and yucca. I also got a side of pastelon (plantain dish) and the seafood salad.... oh and let's not forget about the guava and cheese pastry for dessert! Everything that I had was actually pretty good! Now I'm alway cautious when it comes to places that serve "cafeteria style"....just because sometimes the food sits there for a while and gets hard and cold... but that wasn't the case here! My standouts had to be hands down the pastelon and guava and cheese pastry. Those two items, I would definitely go out of my way to return to get. The other items were just pretty standard and got the job done. Overall, I really enjoyed this spot! The folks here were super nice and helpful. Even though there was a little bit of a language barrier, they were super attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. One lady was really impatient when we asked about the food but it is what it is. Basic restaurant, nothing sticks out about it. Place is really casual. The food... ehhh. Tostones was stale AF and had no taste. The Chicarones and chicken were hard too. I couldn't even cut through chicken from how dry and hard it was. Like it was sitting out all day. The rice wasn't fluffy or good at all. The pernil was so bland, barely any flavor. I feel like the only decent thing was the avocado and their tres leches cake. Tried another place but the wait was crazy. Yelp led us to this gem. When we got there I will admit I was a tad concerned - it's in a strip mall and isn't much to look at from the outside. When we got inside we saw that it's counter service with lots of seating. Which was good because the place was hopping! We decided to try a few things. We ordered yellow rice, baked chicken, maduros, avocado salad, and the obligatory cuban sandwich. It was served quickly and the portions were HUGE. The chicken was a bit dry - but it was white meat so it wasn't unexpected. The dark meat was much better. The maduros were excellent as was the avocado salad and the cuban sandwich. That happened to be this morning and must say that I am %110 impressed by this business. I have had experiences when going to authentic places where I have struggled communicating what I would like. This is entirely my own struggle because I have not learned any other language yet. But! My point is that I did struggle at first and then I showed an employee a photo of what I wanted and BAM it was golden. && I can't not get an empanada when an empanada is available so I got some of those also.
