The help number was completely useless and told me they can't help with lockouts on weekends. I got in touch with Bob, who responded within 10 minutes on a Saturday morning. I sent a photo of the lock to Bob and he was able to identify it as a high security lock that would not be openable without major damage to it. Bob went out of his way to contact apartment management through multiple phone calls, and got someone with a master key to help me out. Mind you this happened on a Saturday morning and I wasn't charged a dime. Would highly recommend Bob.

[Experience with vehicle repair and car rental.]…read more My car broke down on the turnpike, and this was the ONLY place in Bedford that was A. open, B. worked on motors, and C. also rented cars. 3 hours from home, and 2 hours from my destination, I was stranded. the folks here were so kind and understanding of my situation. I was able to easily rent a car to get where I needed to go, and I would leave my car at the auto shop while they repaired it so that upon my return, I could return the rental and drive my car home. The rental process was easy, and, although I would have driven anything at that point, the rental was in great condition. The staff kept me in the loop with regards to the (bad) updates on my car throughout the duration of its stay, via phone calls and texts. When it became apparent that my car would NOT be fixed by the time my excursion was done, they worked out payment over the phone, and provided answers to all my questions. The car needed a new engine, a new radiator and a new coolant system. When it was time to me to pick my car up, the only available day was one where they were closed. They left my car for me in the lot, and I was able to get it with an extra pair of keys. I am NOT car-savvy, and I was in a really tough situation. These guys were professional but empathetic, and really held my hand through the whole thing. which, as a not-car-savvy person, was exactly what I needed. And if they weren't so far away, I'd absolutely go to them again.

The driver, Gene, was incredibly friendly and helpful. He provided suggestions for nearby auto shops and hotels. He charged us a very reasonable rate for the tow, given the fact that he not only dropped our car off at a shop, but dropped us off at a hotel afterwards. Great service, this was a silver lining in an otherwise terrible situation.

The guy Dylan was more than willing to help us fix the van ASAP and even helped us find a car rental. I recently had an excellent experience at TJ's…read more On a cross-country road trip, I was passing through the area when my transmission light (among others) came on. After stopping at a local auto parts store, they referred me to TJ's to help diagnose the issue. The staff was incredibly friendly and allowed me to wait inside the shop with my dog while they took a look at my car. Understanding my predicament and the need to get back on the road as quickly as I could, they got to work servicing my car right away. While the issue was one that they ultimately deemed needed a dealership service, they talked me through the different possible issues and answered any questions I had. And even though they took about an hour of their time diagnosing the issues, they cut me loose free of charge. The service at TJ's is the kind that you don't see everyday, and their willingness to help someone in a tough situation as quickly as they could was remarkable. Nobody wants to deal with car trouble, but if you do, you can be sure that TJ's will take great care of you.

One mechanic looked at the car and referred us to TJs, who gave us a quick, honest, and very helpful assessment. We had to leave our car there for a week to be fixed, but I knew we were in the best of hands. The car is back home, working perfectly, and the final bill was actually slightly lower than what he had quoted, which started out very reasonable for the extent of the repairs needed. It even comes with a one-year, 12,000-mile warranty. Here's to finding another honest, skilled, friendly business - fittingly, in the town that bills itself as "Small Town America."
