Easiest 5 stars ever. Scott and his team were a dream company to rent from. Wish we found them sooner; in fact, we'd still be renting from them if we hadn't purchased our forever home. I've lived in a lot of different apartments/rental homes and Sac City Rentals was my best experience. Here are some examples: we noticed a few ants and reached out to Scott. The next day, a professional pest control company came over..never saw another ant after that. Also, there was a door that's didn't fully close properly. Scott's team was on it right away. We never had to negotiate with them or reach out multiple times to get anything fixed. Lastly, as a renter I appreciated receiving my deposit back (minus cleaning fees, which were very fair). After a previous (and horrible) experience with another property manager, this was so refreshing. read more

I attempted to contact this company on multiple occasions for a home located in Elk Grove. I tried morning, noon, and night when you call after one dial tone you get an answering machine that doesn't let you leave a voicemail. I finally got ahold of someone via email- he informed me the property was still available and set up a showing for 5pm a few days later. His name was Scott, he never reached back out to confirm or keep me in the loop. I figured maybe that's just how they operate. I showed up at this property after leaving work early, getting my daughter from daycare and pretty much moving my entire day around for this. To my surprise Scott never showed up, I waited 10 more minutes and tried to call him and no answer. I was instructed to hang up and check online again because the representative on the phone had no clue if it was still available. After checking the website again and seeing the website say to call for tour booking, I called back and was advised she cannot book a tour but I could look at the photos online. I've been so grateful for Sac City Rentals from start to now. I keep thanking them in my head, and I don't know why it didn't occur to me that I could have actually just left a review somewhere, lol. Here I am, to release all the gratefulness I had inside of me! I remember desperately looking for rental homes online every morning in the Summer of 2022. I wanted to be the first on the list of applications for any home I found. My little family and I really needed a safe home, due to some unfavorable circumstances that were of no fault of ours; a car drove right into our bedroom with our kids in there, in broad daylight. I prayed so hard to find a home with kind owners and understanding property management to work with, I really did. My head was spinning having to go through so many complicated processes with other property managements just to be disappointed at the end though. Sac City Rentals was the shiny light at the end of the dark tunnel for us. The process with Sac City Rentals, specifically working with Scott, was the smoothest experience I've ever had in my home hunting life. I was nervous because I applied for the home on their listing without even contacting them first (I wanted to make sure I got the application in fast). Scott contacted me shortly afterwards, and we toured the home together. At this point, I was desperate enough to just accept any home that would have us, but this home exceeded my expectations. Scott was very professional, and yet, quite personable. There was this sense of understanding and empathy that he gave off when he spoke to us in person. I told myself that I wouldn't mind renting from a property management with people like this guy. He felt completely human, and I felt like I was treated like a human being for once during this home hunting journey. I literally wanted to cry, but I didn't. I had to stay strong until the end. I remember taking the kids to the park with my husband to get everyone's mind off the current unfortunate events that had been occuring in our lives. I'm not really religious, but Scott's text was heaven-sent for us that day. I was impressed with how fast he worked. We had literally just toured the home a few hours ago, and we were already basically approved. It felt like my prayers had been answered, and everything we went through led us right where we needed to be. I don't even know who to thank. So, I just kept thanking Scott, Sac City Rentals, and the owners of the beautiful home. I told myself they all played a part in our approval, it had to be. Every morning when I woke up in our new rental home, I verbally thanked them -even if they weren't around to hear it, lol. I'm just so grateful for a beautiful home that's placed in a beautiful neighborhood, with amazingly kind neighbors around us. I'm just grateful the process was smooth, and my kids are now in a safe place. Bonus: At the time of my application, there was no application fee! Their rentals have utilities included in the rent already, so you don't need to worry about all that extra stuff. Just be wise with water usage in CA (know your water restrictions), and practice good neighbor habits. Lastly, the backyard fence was blown down during the recent atmospheric river storm, but they sent a team to fix it the very same day that I had put in the request! They worked so efficiently that it only took a few minutes to fix the fence (with a team of 3, I believe). It's quite sturdy too! Might I also add that although I try to limit contacting the management unless I absolutely need to, when I do reach out to Scott, he is very responsive. I appreciate that so much. My family rented a condo through Sac city rentals for a little over a year and I honestly wish I never left they have the best prices in Sacramento/ Elk Grove area and the best property team. Anytime we needed anything they were responsive and had someone out the next day. One of the toilets was slowly running and they had a technician out the next day to fix the issue. I lived at property managed by Sac City Rentals for at least two years. Recently I had bought my own property and wanted to give my opinion of this property management throughout the whole process. When I first started looking at rental properties with Sac City, we had a few appointments with Scott. We had some difficulties due to timing but Michelle and Scott worked with us and helped us get into property quickly and within our requested time. This by itself was a big deal but our interactions with them throughout our tenancy was also highly professional and courteous. Generally, I try to limit my interactions with our property owners but if we had issues, they were quick to respond. Upon move out they provided us with a list of steps that helped us get back a majority of our security deposit. I've dealt with quite a few property management and rental companies throughout the years but Sac City Rentals was one of the best. I don't imagine myself using them again given the circumstances but I highly recommend if you are looking at renting a property that you look at the list that Sac City has first. Just be forewarned that properties that they manage go up for rental lightening quick and it a good idea to try and get a hold of them quickly if you see a property you would like to rent. read more

I cannot say enough about how great of an experience it has been working with Scott and renting a home from Sac City Rentals. We had been looking for a rental property to move into (in a short time frame) and had no luck with any other property management companies as there seems to be more people needing homes then what is actually available. After feeling like there was no hope in sight, I had requested info on a property and Scott called me and was extremely kind and understanding and listened to what I was looking for. We viewed the property that was currently available at the time and unfortunately was rented out to someone else. However, Scott did what no other company would do and kept my number and reached out when he had another available or upcoming property. He helped us find a property that turned out to be even better fit than the first rental! The timing was perfect and so was the home. Any issues or fixes needed around the property have been immediately taken care of. The whole process was very intimate and we felt very respected. Scott and Michelle are a small mom and pop property management company but they provide stellar service. I stumbled upon their webpage as I was frantically and desperately looking for a rental (as was everyone else in 2020-2021). I saw a rental that I was interested and called the phone number listed on their website. Scott immediately picked up and answered all my questions and that property was still available for rent. We scheduled a date and time to view the property. Met up with him at the property as scheduled. The property was nice and clean and the rental was priced competitively. Unfortunately, my sister (whom I was to be roommating with) did not feel the vibe for that specific property, so we ended up passing up on it. I did, however, let Scott know that if another property came up, to please let me know. A couple of days later, another property came up on their website and I again called Scott and asked whether the property was available. Long story short, Scott scheduled and met up with me for the second rental. Scott and I chatted about terms and conditions. Shortly after, he sent the lease agreement over and we signed it. Two weeks later, we moved into the rental. It has been a really pleasant experience so far. Whenever we needed repair services, Scott has been on top of it and very responsive. They'll have someone out in reasonable time for repairs/fixes. Scott is cordial, responsive, professional, and respond timely.
