She responded with available delivery dates and didn't correct the pricing, so I assumed the quoted amount was accurate. Her next message included: "We can leave the wood on the driveway. We only take cash or check--could you leave payment under a mat?" I agreed and asked who the check should be made out to. She replied: "I'll put you down for a Friday delivery. Did you want Oak or Almond wood? Please provide your address and best contact number. Checks are payable to Rich Mariani." I again confirmed and provided the information. She responded: "Perfect, I'll get your receipt written up and sent over." About ten minutes later, she sent another email stating: "I just realized I put the numbers in backwards--I apologize. It should be: 1/4 cord + delivery + taxes = $264.91 1/4 cord + pickup + taxes = $183.81 So for delivery, it'll be $264.91." This correction came after eight emails, despite my mentioning the price discrepancy twice earlier. I can't help but wonder what would have happened if I hadn't noticed that she had misread my previous emails.
