    Thank You Yelp
    Eric S.

What an awesome show today, I once when to 40 Sac Ballet shows in 3 months back in 2012. (23 Nutcrackers Performances). Well thanks to Yelp,.I got to go to today's show with my wife, Rich L and his grandson. The first performance was "In The Warmth of Winter" was amazing seeing all the dancers in sync shows how much practice they put into making this show. In the second performance "Among the Cypress" Dancers Julia Feldman and Chris Nachtrab made this part of the performance awesome, their grace and poise made this one not to miss. The third performance "Incident at Blackbriar" was my FAVORITE. Alexandra Cunningham, Ava Chatterson and Stefan Calka all work GREAT together. They all have been dancing together for a few years now and they really know how to make it shine. The 4th performance of the day was "Keep Me Wishing in the Dark." Sad to say it was the last part of today's performance. It was pretty interesting seeing all the dancers in dress like outfits, But it looks like they didn't have any problems performing in them. The choreography was amazing. If you ever get a chance to see this show, I recommended you go see it. I can't wait for the 2016 performances to be announced. Get in there and watch one of Sac Ballet's performances.

Excellent company and dancers, I just recently saw their production of The Sleeping Beauty. It was beautifully danced.

My kids left mystified how the Nutcracker "grew," and they've been dancing around the house ever since last Friday.

Kim's little homey cottage is located right next to the Sierra 2 Center in East Sacramento and there is street parking available. The class for my daughter's age group is on Tuesdays from 5-7pm with 1 hour being for singing/voice lessons and the other 1 hour being for dance lessons. There are 4 classes a month essentially for under $200. Kim was very professional and great with the kids! It was fun to see new and returning students in her class and to see who was comfortable and who was still coming out of their shell. My daughter had a great time at the trail class, but she currently does another activity on Tuesdays so the class for her age group isn't a good fit for us right now, but we hope to come back and join Kim's class in the future. Give them a call or visit if you or your kids are interested in Performing Arts - Kim has been around for 30+ years and you can tell how much she loves what she does!

Rize All: Where quiet kids dance!…read more We came in with our nervous, quiet kid who surprised us when he decided to join a hip hop class. Ms. Mona and Julia welcomed him with positivity and kindness, helping him feel comfortable in minutes. As soon as class started, he was grooving! As performance day arrived I feared he would lose confidence but he jumped on stage with a HUGE smile and pride! Rize All isn't just about dance--it's about confidence and pure joy. P.S. If you're on the fence--do it. What have you got to lose?

Parking is typically pretty easy to find in the large shopping center they're in. We signed her up for their once a week introduction to dance class. She loved her classmates and instructor and wanted to do their recital in June. The class provided a lot of valuable life lessons. She learned and had several things reiterated: confidence, human kindness, paying attention, respect, responsibility, timeliness, and trying your hardest. Their waiting room is exceptionally small, and they prefer you drop off and pick up your child after class. Unfortunately, that's not realistic for her due to some separation anxiety issues, but we'll continue working on it. Starbucks and Walgreens are both within walking distance for those who are able to drop off their child or children. They sell a variety of ballet and dance apparel and shoes. The recital costumes were reasonably priced and absolutely gorgeous. Tickets were also reasonably priced, and the show was well planned and executed. Our daughter's dance partner bailed on her before the second show, and her instructor Mona helped instill the confidence in her to perform a solo rendition that she did a fantastic job with. She's excited to begin class again in August after soccer is over and to perform again in December's recital.

I have seen many concerts here and even comedy shows! They even had a big boxing match last weekend! I love the nostalgia of the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium - it feels old timey but still updated and not run down. There are 3 levels, but not a bad seat in the house! They sell food and drinks during normal shows, but of course they are still pricy like most concerts are! Staff is questionable - most are nice, but then some take their jobs a little too seriously if you know what I mean. Since the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium is downtown, you have the problem of downtown parking. You can be lucky with street parking, but there are also parking garages nearby. I also like that the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium is surrounded by restaurants too - so you can grab a bite before or after an event. I'm sure I will be back again soon! Check them out!

Graduations where I watched people I love cross that stage. Concerts that gave me chills. Comedy shows where my face hurt from laughing. Even a few boxing nights where the whole room was on its feet. Different events, different crowds, but the feeling walking in is always the same. The first thing you notice is the architecture. It's historic and genuinely beautiful, the kind of place that makes an ordinary Tuesday night feel like an occasion. They don't build them like this anymore. Every time I look up at the details, I appreciate that downtown Sacramento has held onto something this special. What keeps me coming back, though, is the people. The ushers are warm and welcoming, the kind who actually seem glad you're there. Security is professional and on top of things without ever making you feel watched. You're in good hands from the moment you arrive. The sightlines are wonderful too. It's an intimate room, so wherever you sit you feel close to the action. A tip if you end up in the upper balcony: the seating up there is wooden and runs a little smaller, so it's cozier, but the view is still great and there's a charm to it. If you want to catch an event in the heart of downtown, you really can't do better than this. It's a treasure, and I'll keep coming back for many more memories.

I finally got to see The Lion King for the very first time, something I've wanted to experience for many years, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I went solo and honestly loved the experience. I purposely chose an aisle seat so I could watch the performers move up and down the aisles, and I'm so glad I did. It made the show feel even more immersive and special, especially during those moments when the cast comes through the audience. The venue itself is beautiful and easy to navigate. From entering the building to finding my seat, everything felt organized and smooth. The seating was comfortable, the sightlines were great, and the sound quality was excellent, which really matters for a production like this. As for The Lion King, it was amazing. The costumes, music, and staging were stunning, and seeing it live after wanting to for so long made it even more meaningful. Overall, such a great first experience at this venue. I generally prefer weekend matinees, but have also done weeknight shows. Due to the circular staging, every seat in the house is a great view. Sometimes the action is in the aisles or overhead! As with Broadway Sacramento at the SAFE PAC, they do electronic tickets as well as paper tickets/will call from the box office. There is a bag check but I'm not sure about the leniency of the bag size policy. There is a courtyard with tables and chairs, but I don't know if you can bring outside food through the gate (definitely not inside the theater). There is a subscriber's lounge for seasonholders before/after the show. Concessions are available, one line forms outside for the window to order near the main entrance, and in the hallway at the other end is another stand if you're feeling like popcorn, soda, Gunther's ice cream, water, etc. @sacmusicals also usually has a backdrop/step-and-repeat photo opportunity with props which is available before, during intermission, and after the show. The snaking queue for the ladies' room may seem like a lost cause, but the tag team of bathroom attendants at the restroom near the main entrance are on top of it to keep everything moving! No less than three staff were directing patrons to open stalls and further led them to an exit door out to the courtyard so it didn't create two-way traffic jams. Props to them, this is not a minor thing! Very efficient, especially with only a 20-minute intermission. Dress code is lax, but if you're dressed for the triple-digit summer weather outside, know that inside they do keep it pretty chilly. Parking at the Memorial Garage is super convenient, reserve in advance to save at least $5. The 2025 season had: Footloose, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Million Dollar Quartet, Hello, Dolly!, West Side Story, In the Heights so far. The remaining shows are Hair and White Christmas.
