The staff is warm, caring, and truly dedicated to every child's growth and happiness. We always felt confident and grateful knowing our kids were in such good hands. Leaving was bittersweet, as it was simply time to move on to the next school, but we will truly miss the entire team. If you are thinking about bringing your children here, just do it....you won't regret it!

On our daughters very first day of school, her teachers, Ms. Serena and Ms. Malih were so caring and thoughtful with her. She was nervous to be there and didn't want us to leave in the morning. Ms. Serena took her by the hand and spoke gently with her, and made her feel more comfortable. We knew we were leaving our daughter in good hands that morning, and the positive experiences continued on until our last day of school. The office staff is very friendly, and always makes me feel as if I'm part of the MCS family when I talk to them on the phone, or see them in person in the office. Whenever I stop by the office with my daughter, Ms. Galina goes out of her way to say hi to her and often gives her a warm hug and sometimes a sticker =) I would highly recommend Montessori Childrens School to my anyone I know that I is looking for a wonderful, caring place for the children to go to school / daycare, or anyone that plans to continue with the Montessori teaching philosophy.

We noted that their alternate language training was to provide them with a Rosetta Stone account and...well that was it. No follow up or guaranteed exposure in class. Then they moved to the new campus ...and OMG We would here 'Mrs Kim's' voice mails every night on the phone "Good evening Carmichael Parents...I am the good fairy princess..". They have reorganized their parking loops and traffic flows 8-10 times in the time that we have been there. They even began controlling the way you exit the parking lot...yes redirecting traffic on public roads. The administrators cordened off all parking spots for themselves...forcing parents to park a block away if they want to walk there younger child in. They even started making the kids wait in the cold, out in the breezeways until 10 minutes prior to class so that their 'facilitators' had preparation time. Yes...facilitators...not teachers. My daughter was one of 30+ kids in a single class from three different grades, and not one was on the same lesson. The one teacher never had one on one time with her, and very little time to speak to even her grade as a whole. Essentially, the way they have organized it there, is that your kid is in a correspondence course, and with a bit of luck they get a visit from a teacher. They say it works for some.

Every school has troubles and misunderstandings but from over 600 parents 7 are unhappy or just cmp carmichael did not work for them, does not make this school worth of only bad reviews. Every time I had a question, principal, teachers, dean of students and administration have been so helpful and nice to us. This school is tk-8th grade. Gated.

Took a throwing class with Terry, who was great. He was super informative and willing to help…read morethroughout all my four classes. I ended up making about 5 pieces throughout the four classes. We glazed during our fourth and final class, meaning we had to return to find our pieces. When I came back the fifth week, my pieces were still not fired in the kiln yet. So I decided to come back in two weeks. That's where I ran into my issue. All of our completed pieces are in a separate room where the glazing happens. There was another instructor, bald lady who I believe instructs the hand throwing class, who was teaching her class how to glaze. My friend and I were looking for our pieces, trying to be as quiet as possible. However, noise is going to be made as we're rummaging through a bunch of finished pieces. There are about four separate sections where our pieces could be, so as we were going through the finished pottery pieces, someone from her class asked my friend and I to be quiet, which we were already trying to be as quiet as possible. She said that we were being rude and disruptive. However, this is just the nature of this room. People are going to be going in and out, trying to find their pieces, as they only place the finalized pieces here. This is when I expected the bald instructor to speak up but she was super rude as well. She was demeaning and condescending towards us. She talked down to us as if my friend and I were 5 years old. When we were looking through the non fired pieces, she raised her voice telling us not to touch the pieces if they weren't ours. The issue is, when you paint the glaze, not only does your piece look completely different, but the glaze is all different types of crazy colors. The only way to verify if the piece is yours is if you find your name on the bottom of the piece. So not only were we not able to verify if those pieces were ours, as the instructor was giving us attitude, we weren't able to find all of our pieces. We went back to our instructor, who was kind enough to find our pieces for us. Overall, we had a good experience but that last instructor really rubbed me the wrong way. I'm conflicted on what score to give, and really feel as though how are you an instructor when you are so rude? For sure left a bad taste in my mouth.

The length was over 2 1/2 years. I started January 2020 and finished August 2022. I would have appreciated the transparency upfront during the admissions process. Some students were there longer than me. I'd recommend clarifying this during the admissions process if you plan on attending this school. The instructors were overall great. Some would go out of their way to schedule one on one tutoring sessions if a student needed it. I really felt that I had support if I needed it. The legal instructors were very knowledgeable in the field and taught skills and tasks that are used in the legal field. I had the pleasure of attending while Linda Gardenhire was Department Chair and then Eric Fernandez when she retired. They were both amazing and supportive throughout my whole program. They were very personable and I felt like they genuinely really cared about the success of their students. I happened to have Eric as an instructor for Contract Law and Advanced Legal Research and Writing. These classes were definitely a challenge for me, I made sure to meet with Eric early on and communicate this to him. He did a great job clarifying and helping me through the challenging assignments. He really pushed me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to be better. The class material mirrors what paralegals do in the field and will help prepare anyone looking to succeed in the legal field.
