There is no training you get a 4 hour PowerPoint of information crammed into one day that they won't go over with you again. They are constantly hiring every Thursday because they can't keep employees, be it problems with hours and them not giving their employees adequate hours or scheduling problems. Ive spoken with clients who stated how they'll send over replacements/ "fill ins" and never even bother to call them to let them know a new person is showing up. There is no care for caregivers or clients just a false sense of tutelage, trust, and benevolence. Their silver lining is that they try to shove faith, worship, god down your throat to cover up all their misdeeds thinking that a simple "we'll pray for you" is gonna fix anything. I am so sad that At Ease Home Care has gone down hill from when I first met them 18 years ago! 18 years ago, I was the 43rd customer! They used to be kind, caring, understanding and helpful! I was injured one year ago by a caregiver, working for at ease home care! She tripped me while I was walking. I told them she had been smoking pot/marijuana. I have witnesses to the event of injury! I have serious neck injury and received MRIs, CAT scans, and physical therapy for the last year! When I informed the office that I was injured and I needed help and to be fed, the office staff lady said I needed to learn to use your hands. I stated my name, and my disability, I have no use of my hands or legs, I could not feed myself. She was extremely rude and said I needed to learn. After I was getting perturbed, the lady finally looked up my name and said oh, I guess we do have to help you! There was no apology, no feedback no checking to see how I was doing... Instead, I was told we will no longer be assisting you! I have pain 24 /7! They also said that the husband swore. I understand all of this but they blindsided them with this. There were no phone calls and there were no discussion. They just tossed them away for 10 days. She is a two person transfer not a one. Not only for getting up out of bed for appointments and showers, but just to get up period. It is shameful.
