I've been to Sacred Profane on multiple occasions now and I am always blown away by the food here. There isn't one bad option on the menu. The smashburger is definitely my favorite item, it's the perfect burger. I usually go for a glass of wine here and all the options are great but I have tried a cocktail before. It was the Pink Pony Club which is fruity and has tequila. not my favorite but wasn't too bad. I love the space a lot too. Sitting outside on the patio in the summer is perfect on a nice day. The only reason I can't give this review 5 stars is due to the service. Everyone here is so nice and welcoming so that is not the problem. I have just always had a problem with waiting to have my order taken or the slowness of actually receiving the food and drinks. I noticed the last time I went that people who came in about 5-10 minutes after us got helped before anyone came over to our table. Once our order finally got taken the drinks took another 10 minutes to come out and all we got was a bottle of wine for the table. I am not sure why a bottle of wine would take 10 minutes. I will still continue to love this place for outstanding food and atmosphere but would love to see a better dynamic when it comes to service.

** This review is for the event space upstairs** I went to a networking event in the event space upstairs and was very happy with the set up. Lots of space to sit and some comfy couch areas as well. I didn't try any food but it looks like they have some great options. The downstairs has a large bar and garage doors that open up to the outside. The whole inside gets lots of sun and is super pretty. I will be back to try it at a non event.

Haven't been here in about a year, but what great improvements already. They now have an extensive food menu, a broader cocktail menu, and most importantly and extremely comfortable covered patio. We were extremely excited to sit under the new umbrellas and in the suspended chairs. And of course, the beer is so great. Cool spot.

Truly a hidden gem! Sacred Profane nails the trifecta of great beer, amazing food, and kind staff. It's the only spot in the U.S. doing tank-pour lagers, where the beer is suspended from tanks and flows with gravity directly to the luger tap. They serve two types of lager beer AND have an extensive cocktail, wine and shandy list. The lobster roll with smoked trout roe, pierogis, and grilled cauliflower easily count among the best bar food we've ever had. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to accommodate my weird allergy. The vibes are awesome and chill. 10/10 recommend. Pro Tips - Ask about the tank pour setup--it's worth learning about - Plenty of parking in front - Don't miss the lobster roll - Lots of seating inside, outside and upstairs!

Server greeted us with a friendly welcome and seated us right away. Our server came over and asked if we have ever been here before. We explained this was our first time and she went through the history of the brewery, the types of drinks we can order and the day's specials. My wife order her drink and a cauliflower steak with broccoli. I order their equivalent of a black and tan and pierogis with bratwurst. All were delicious. Beautiful open air dining and pleasant music playing. Czech inspired lagers and menu. We will be back.

Friendly staff, great beer, food, and community events... what's there not to love?! Every time I go to Sacred Profane, I love it more than the last time. They have perfected the art of Czech beer. Although they only have a light and a dark lager -- with a few variations of each, by adding more foam, mixing them, etc -- they really have mastered these two beers. Less is more at Sacred Profane, and you can tell the team behind the magic has focused on quality over quantity. The venue itself is one of my favorites. It's cozy and welcoming, with outdoor seating during the warmer months. The staff is always so amicable and helpful. If you're a beer drinker, you have to visit Sacred Profane. I can't wait for the Portland location!

Such a cool brewery in Biddeford. We were at a nearby brewery, Lucky Pigeon and the staff recommended we stop here and try their beer and get a Allen's and milk. We walked over and absolutely loved the great vibe at this welcoming industrial brewery. A few large communal tables inside, seating outside with open garage doors... beautiful day with a warm breeze to complement the cold beer. Shiny copper lukr tabs hanging above the bar for their two beers, pale and a dark larger. I started with their pale larger, full mug with three fingers of foam... so delicious and rich with flavor. Tried their Allen's and milk... dark foam and a shot of ACB... wow a mug of pure joy. These lovely people know exactly what they are doing! Staff was so cool and welcoming, their motto is cold larger and warm hearts and it fits perfectly! Love their values and their beer. Brewer Brienne was so nice and talked with us. Also enjoyed a shot ... great birthday celebration. I am such a fan of this place, that the following day we stopped back for more beer and a few cases to take back to NY. This is a must stop whenever we are in town!

I was in the area for work, and looking for a quick drink between meetings. I actually saw Sacred Profane on Instagram and was really excited to try it out! This little spot packs a big punch. Their beer selection is awesome (they are all seriously good) and I love the signature foam on each one. Don't sleep on their snacks - they are top notch! We tried the pimento cheese dip and fries and loved them both. The service was great, and the windows were open as it was a gorgeous day out. I can't wait to come back again next time I am in the area!

This place is absolutely adorable! It's going to be an awesome addition to the up and coming trendy Biddeford. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and as we were seated we were told, the food outside is not the same as inside. We could only order snacks and nothing more. Very strange since the whole wall is open to the outside so it's basically the outside. Our waitress greeted us and asked our order, not offering any information about the restaurant or brewery or asking if we'd been there before. I asked for a quick rundown since I was from out of town and wanted to make sure we ordered the best locally made items. I'd recommend this place to anyone who asked, but I'd also recommend that they serve the entire menu to the entire restaurant.

Good vibes, average food, creamy beers. The crab Rangoons on special were off in flavor but the pimento dip was decent. The beers were dreamy and creamy goodness.

Pretzel with smoked gouda cheese dip and mustard.

They don't have a lot of beers but what they have the do very well. The Czech Pils and Dark are incredible and served the way they were meant to be. The pretzel was one of the best we ever had and the smoked gouda cheese dip was amazing.Highly recommend a stop of yours in the area

Visited on 7/19/26 with my wife and dog. Drove up from Rhode Island after seeing the menu,…read moreavailable beers, and learning they were dog friendly. We arrived and sat at a picnic table with an umbrella so our pup could be in the shade. We were having a great time, so excited to be there and amped to try their current taps. Just as our apps were being brought out, a gust of wind lifted the umbrella clear out of the table, spilling my wife's drink and sending the heavy metal umbrella pole directly into my face and chest HARD. My wife, the server, and I were all stunned for a moment. Wife thought I was bleeding until we realized it was rust on my face and chest from the pole. Server asked if I was okay, clearly feeling a little awkward, and with my hand to my face I said "I think so? If I'm not bleeding, I guess?, still totally stunned and feeling some pain. Face throbbing, my wife asked for an ice pack, and the server brought us one. We totally understand that it was a freak accident, and that it wasn't our server's fault. But it got awkward from there as the crew working became avoidant. The girl that sat us saw me teary eyed from the pain, holding the ice pack to my face and asked if we were okay... but that was it. The atmosphere quickly became awkward, and considering the pain I was in combined with feeling totally weird from the staff, we asked for a box to take our uneaten food to go. Server brought our check and we were a little surprised to see that we were still charged for the drinks (one of which had spilled because of the umbrella) and the food. We paid cash, still left a nice tip, and left, wanting to get out of the sun and keep an eye on the swelling. We were really disappointed in how the situation was handled by the crew. We weren't looking for our apps to be comped, but it would have been nice for a manager to come by, apologize, offer to refill my wife's beer, and maybe move us to a different table since we were no longer in the shade. The team didn't go around and check the other tables to make sure the umbrellas were safe and secure, either, which was shocking considering what had just happened. We were really looking forward to hanging out, trying a little bit of everything off the menu, buying some cans or growlers to take home... but we left with a swollen, bruised face and chest and an uneaten $90 box of food that we ended up tossing because the mood was completely ruined. We rarely leave a negative review anywhere, but I guess this is just a PSA to check your picnic table umbrella if you sit outside, and hopefully a learning opportunity for management in how to improve customer service and safety for patrons.

This morning, my wife and I finally planned to go check out their space for the first time. What more could you truly ask for than a cafe/coffee shop meets bookstore meets beer bar! My wife is more of an avid reader than I am so she enjoyed the book aspect more. They have a large menu of offerings drink wise with everything you'd expect from a coffee shop. I do wish they did a rotating seasonal special drink menu, as places usually have one or more great sounding drinks on those. Both my wife and I settled on an iced blueberry latte. Overall it had hints of blueberry and tasted more like milk than anything. Would not be rushing back for it specifically that's for sure. Food wise they have some in-house baked goods as well as bagels from Rose Foods and corssiants from Little Spruce Baking. My wife got a plain bagel with cream cheese while I grabbed a chocolate croissant. I did mess up by not requesting it be warmed up but it was still delicious! Will be finding more spots that have goodies from Little Spruce. The bagel was also tasty. Book wise my wife enjoyed browsing but did not find any books she needed to grab. She did enjoy reading a couple chapters of her current book while we sat by the large windows (good spot for world watching outside). We enjoyed our visit but have other spots we would be happier to visit again.
