Four of us came here and split a large fajita platter with chicken and steak (you could also get shrimp if you wanted) that was made for 4 people. It was a ton of food and we were absolutely stuffed by the end. I think the cost of it was around $80-$90, which felt reasonable for the portion size. We had great drinks and enjoyed margaritas, carajillos (Mexican coffee cocktail), and blue horchatas. We also got to chat with the owner who was really hospitable and passionate about the restaurant. Plus, the prices were really high. I think they have a unique menu with some fun flavor combos and a happy hour which I didn't try, so it would be worth coming back for that. We came here on a Wednesday afternoon and got very friendly and attentive service, a perk of coming into an empty spot. We're suckers for duck and lamb so the duck confit (2 orders - 1 each @ 9$?) and lamb birria (1 order - 2ea @ $19) were obvious choices. Messy, but delicious. Very cute space and I loved getting a peek at their back patio. The bathrooms were super clean and they provide industrial napkins for all taco related messes. There was only one person working--handling the front, serving, and bartending--but he managed it all with ease and a good attitude. Every time I think this establishment is worth giving another shot, I leave questioning if I should keep giving them chances. The staff and owners are SO KIND but no one knows how to work in a restaurant. When someone sits in your section, ask them what they want to drink within 5 minutes. I am definitely not a fan. Arrived around 7:15pm on Saturday night. The door was wide open, the restaurant was really cold and it was empty. The menu we got was the new menu, so several items weren't available yet. Of the ones they were currently serving several were sold out- dope. In the end we ordered shrimp, carne asada and carnitas tacos and guac and chips. and a margarita on the rx NO salt. The margarita had salt on the rim & I overcooked it, no big deal. The guac was meh, the chips were oily and not well salted. Some spots were salty and others nothing. I asked for salt and waited while the bartender greeted a couple at the bar and at a table. I waited for the couple to order. I waited, until he picked up his phone & then I asked again. When I turned my head he shook his head like I was unreasonable. As time passed other patrons were getting their food, we waited. Ours arrived cold. Aside from being cold, the tortillas were thick, the carne asada was chewy and so salty that it was inedible. The carnitas were also salty. The shrimp were rubbery, cold, salty and topped with romaine lettuce. I won't be back. read more

Love this place! The food is great not just the tacos and they have unique options I have never seen before. Very surprised that the avocado taco my friend ordered was one of my favorites because it's different than I have seen it prepared. The birria tacos are also a favorite but there are several others. We went to Sacred Taco around 9 pm on a Wednesday. It's nice that it is a late-night spot that serves decent food. They had tables and also bar seating. Only one guy was working the bar and serving tables. He was super nice, but it was hard to flag him down when we wanted to order or to get the check. We got the elotes to start and complimentary chips and salsa. It tasted like the elotes had parmesan cheese instead of cotija. Also, we saw on yelp it was in a bowl, so we were expecting it in a bowl instead of two pieces of corn on the cob. Usually makes sense since they would've called it esquites, but many restaurants are different. The elotes also had too much chili on them. The presentation wasn't that appetizing either. For mains, I got the quesabirria taco and the al pastor taco. My friend got the carne asada burrito. Both were pretty filling and we had to take the other half to-go. I would still say the tacos were overpriced for $10 and $8. They are a little bigger than street tacos. I asked for jalepeños for my tacos (thinking it would be like the picked jalepeños, but they were the sliced ones from the bar). We weren't able to get drinks, so I would probably go back here again for drinks or happy hour. I just think the food is definitely overpriced. read more

I have low expectations for Mexican food in the Marina so it was on par with what I expected :) My friend and I got quesedillas and birria to share, and things were a bit... soggy. Sacred Taco is on a super vibrant street. We came in on a Friday evening with no wait, which was great because we were starving. I loved the decor in the restaurant with bright paintings and cute mini flower centerpieces on each table. We ordered a Sacred Chop Salad with carne asada to share. It tasted super fresh, and it was great that the protein add on came with the salad and wasn't an additional charge. I ordered the "You'll Remember Me Tomorrow" taco, which came with fried chicken, jalapeño, and chipotle aioli. It was advertised as very spicy but I personally didn't think it was spicy enough! Still tasty regardless. I also got the Baja Fish taco, which was a classic standard fish taco. One thing I really loved about these tacos was that the tortillas were perfectly cooked with a slight crisp on the outside. Our server was super attentive and came by to check on us multiple times. We ordered a pitcher of a margarita, and the server had made an extra large pitcher and gave us essentially an extra glass of margarita, which was really nice. A great spot!
