Food ordered: Chicken enchiladas (4/5): well done, flavorful, delicious. Quantity was less. Chicken adobo bowl (4/5): well balanced bowl, could use a little sauce tho. We ordered chicken bowl but got vegetarian bowl instead. When brought to attention, the server offered to bring complimentary chicken as a side. We also ordered a drink Golden Garden- really good! Ambiance and decor is good but gets noisy inside. I would prefer outside seating.

Came for happy hour and the space is beautiful. The inside is spacious and I spotted a private room in the back as well. There's nice outdoor seating as well. Grabbed a margarita that was refreshing and well balanced and some chips and guac. The chips were crispy, fresh, and salty and the guac was chunky with a nice squeeze of lime.

Overall, a decent spot with a nice atmosphere and vibe. We sat at a great corner table outside, and the location is on a lively block with TVs in the bar area, which added to the energy. The food was good but nothing especially memorable. The guac was great. The queso came out a little different than we expected, and the veggie taco wasn't our favorite, it had long pieces of mushroom, nopales, and avocado. They did have margarita pitchers though, which were a fun option for groups.

We usually eat at Flores in Corte Madera since we live in Marin County, but on our way back from the airport decided to soot here! Food was very good! Not disappointed at all! Drinks were just as great! Service was very good and it was during a rush hour. Ambiance is nice! Sat at the bar area and we loved it. Great place overall

    QUESADILLA something

Ordered the mole and the rice was dry and severely undercooked. It was crunchy. The mole was just alright. Very disappointed. The Brussels sprouts quesadilla was also super disappointing and lacked any flavor and the tortilla was so dry. My mocktail came after my meal so I didn't bother drinking it. The food was so mediocre. I will not waste my time writing a longer review. This shouldn't even count as Mexican food.

I ended up coming here for a social networking event and it was fun dinner and the service was amazing. I would say the tacos were okay I didn't feel like they were the best in terms of flavor it seemed pretty bland but the drinks and chips n guacamole were pretty decent. I would say the vibe of the music and people is what made ppl want to come here. I would recommend it 7.5/10 to any big parties that want fun Mexican restaurant.

I went to Flores San Francisco for a couple of drinks and a light meal. I loved the ambiance and feel of the restaurant, it really is a nice vibe. The service was great from the host stand to the end of the dinner, everything was amazing and the staff was very accommodating.

Amazing staff (literally so nice and attentive). Beautiful restaurant and decor. But my dish was just okay :/, not what I would call a "Torta" by any means. It was more like a banh mi in a shakshuka.

Going back to Flores in SFO feels like going back home. It's the kind of place where food isn't just served... it's felt. That perfectly made pozole; rich, flavorful, and hearty; with the right balance of seasoning, tradition, and soul. The red Mexican rice, fluffy and full of flavor, paired with sweet fried plantains; or tajaditas amarillas, as we call them; creates that beautiful sweet contrast that embraces every bite. The atmosphere is simply spectacular. Warm, authentic, welcoming. It's one of those places where time slows down and you truly enjoy the moment; the food, the conversation, the music, the energy. Everything flows naturally. And the service... beyond expectations. Professional, attentive, and genuinely heartfelt. Because when hospitality comes from the heart, you can feel it. Antonio (Tony) is not only an excellent bartender with full command of the bar; he is also a great server. He has that rare ability to read the table, anticipate needs, and make every guest feel valued.

    Birria Plate $29
    Stephanie Q.

The food here is really good and authentic! The birria plate was good and had great flavor, but for the price point at $29- I thought the portions were a little small. The Guacamole and Margarita were definitely hitting the spot though. Probably wouldn't order the 3 taco plate again. Got the chicken and carne asada. I've had better tacos in the city, so they were just average imo. I would come back for the guac and drinks though! Great spot to come in the city, but can be very busy even on a weekday!

2025 restaurant week chicken mole and stuffed pepper
    Priyanka S.

I came to Flores twice and the first time was definitely better than the second. The second time I came to Flores was more recently for restaurant week with friends and the ambiance is beautiful with tons of wood tones inside and moving leaves on the ceiling, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Sadly, the dishes were not very flavorful and the dessert course was quite off-putting. For the restaurant week special menu I decided to get the avocado salad, the pork stuffed chili pepper and the flan, and out of all the dished the pork stuffed chili pepper had the most flavor but was not my cup of tea. It had a creamy sauce towards the bottom that tasted like cashew and was topped with pomegranate seeds. The flavor profile of the dish did not mesh well together. Flan was what I ordered for the dessert round and while I was expecting it to taste like traditional flan with a caramel soft flavor profile I was greatly mistaken as this Flan was packed with jalapeño flavoring which was incredibly off-putting for a dessert as the spiciness of the jalapeños did not go well with the sweet caramel notes of the flan and sauce.

First time trying this place after hearing good things from my co workers. I have to be honest, we did not feel welcome when entering at all. Both of the hosts could have smiled more to welcome guests. Menu was small. Both plate we ordered tasted good but nothing special that we would hurry back soon. Their Margarita though.....Perfect! as well as coffee but no one asked if we wanted refill until we finished our meal Service was nice but could have been more attentive.

First time visiting after hearing a couple friends talking about their happy hour. Unfortunately, their Happy Hour menu ends at 5 despite how busy Union Street gets. I'll have to go another time and try their Happy Hour Menu. Our drinks were good, food was incredible and service was comforting. This is a great place for a first date or a romantic solo getaway.

The person who states "This is most likely the best restaurant in the world" has to be beyond sheltered; It's not even the best restaurant in the _neighborhood_. The main thing you must understand: the food is "inspired" by Indian food, but it does _not_ taste like Indian food. I suspect its been intentionally watered down to be palatable to milquetoast palettes. We ordered three small plates and the butter chicken as the main. Chicken Tikka Taco. This was greasy to the touch, with chicken and cheese. The dominate flavor is the cheddar cheese. They were trying to be creative but the ultimate effect was similar to a frozen burrito with cheddar cheese and chile verde. If you eat this, close your eyes and imagine a microwaved, frozen burrito..you'll see what I mean. Tandoori Avocado. This features an avocado that's been warmed and covered in a chili sauce. There's a green hummus and a fried dosa crisp. While it sounds wild, once the flavors are mixed together on the plate...the overall effect is that of a green-goddess salad. It's not bad, but its not mind bending. Octopus Xec Xec. The octopous was was cooked nicely and there was a tomato based sauce. Unlike something you'd find in India, it is _not_ heavy on the spices, or tang, or nuttiness. It's just very _neutral_. Butter Chicken. This was the biggest disappointment. I've never had a butter chicken curry that tasted so close to tomato soup in my life. I've eaten tons of butter chicken in my life, hundreds of Indian restaurants. I cannot imagine this was not an intentional choice...It was extremely disappointing. Also, the choice to use chicken breast was poor. Inevitably you get overcooked, chewy chicken pieces. They must have chosen this because (like Disneyland) sometimes you water things down to make it more popular with less adventurous people. The customers next to us (not Indian) kept slathering it on their rice and saying "I can't believe I didn't use to like Indian food!" -- that told me all I needed to know. BTW the naan is insanely bad. They stretched it very thin and then crisped it to the point that it breaks like a cracker. In what world is naan not pillowy and soft? Personally, I was really disappointed with this experience -- the other reviews on yelp are absolute insanity IMO. I know there's a hype train right now -- but someday people will realize this place is not it.
