I stumbled on to this place after I was done with a long bike ride with my girlfriend. This place is pretty cool, it has an old west ambiance to it. It actually has a stable for people to keep horses at. The food was very good, I have to admit they serve the best burger I have ever had in the IE. They also have pretty cheap drinks 3 bucks and the bartender serves them stiff. The only thing I did not like about this place was the music. I can not stand country music at all. read more

This is one of the few places I've been to that you can ride up to (on a horse). It's a fun place to come listen to great live music. I've discovered some great country music this way and I love to come listen for more. The atmosphere is nice and it doesn't seem like the sort of place where you'd have to worry about fights breaking out left and right. What can I say about this place? It's a hometown dive bar with pretty good food, great music, And open pool tables. The beer flows cold and fairly cheap, and if you go on Taco Tuesday, the foods pretty cheap and good too. I recommend the chicken tacos over the beef tacos because the flavor is a little more bold. If you go on a regular night, I recommend the steak. it's a pretty large portion and marinated just right to be tasty. This is the one of the few places left that I have found that still serves pitchers of beer which is perfect on a football Sunday afternoon. They have TVs all over so you won't miss any of the action. The waitstaff is happy and helpful and the bartender pours a strong drink. I almost forgot to mention that parking is occasionally a bit of a problem, probably because there is less room for cars so there can be more room for horses. I was meeting some one here and thought I forgot my cowboy hat and boots. No matter I still went in. :) I was greated right away. The girls are really nice here and love to joke with me. That was a plus! I was not sure what to order but she told me of the 1 tacos. I jumped on that. When I got the chicken taco I was again in shock. It was great. I loved it and orderd 4 more. How could I not! They had a live band playing that night and I was like what a cool place to drink and have a good time. I will come back if I am in the area. I love this place. It has a cozy "at home" kind of feel, more than any other bar in Norco. The food has really been improving with the new manager and the bands play really great country music! They have a DJ on Thursdays and give free dance lessons if you don't know how to two step. It's a great place to dance and hang out, have a steak for dinner and a few drinks afterwards. It gets a nice balance of couples and single people. Single women feel safe to come here by themselves, that says a lot about the place right there. And yes, the place has a corral and lots of people ride their horses there, have a few beers and ride home again! It's really fun to check out the horses while you're enjoying your meal, they are charming. As for the guy who commented about racial tension, I work with several black and mexican dudes, we meet here for drinks after work all the time and they never have a problem here, in fact the bar tenders and some of the regulars have really taken them under their wing, so that must have been an isolated incedent. This place was great. I was looking for a nice, fun place for our first night out since the baby was born. A friend dug this up on Yelp, and "had a feeling about it". We arrived too late for dinner, but the cook was kind enough to serve us. An incredible steak, wonderful people. It's a great place to just ease back after dinner, have a few drinks, and some good conversations. And, as mentioned by others, the horses. Tied to a rail. In front of the saloon. The Saddle Sore Norco used to be the most happening place in this little cowtown! It's still awesome but has changed over the last 10 years and not for the better. They had the most killer wings that ever existed, now they have been replaced by some breaded big chicken legs that taste good still but aren't world class. The food is now just okay. The atmosphere is still the best. It is a Cowboy saloon with dining, dancing and pool. Fun jukebox plays great music and service is friendly. I wish they would have preserved themselves in history but I still highly recommend to folks that like a little shit kicking! read more

First time here. Very Norco, which is a good thing. Hubby had the jalapeño bacon burger (huge and delicious), I had the pulled pork sandwich with onion rings (homemade) which was excellent. Kids meals were the usual, but the kiddos gobbled them up, so that's a good thing. Heather was our server. She was awesome, attentive and funny. Prices were fair. I was born and raised in the Corona/Norco area, and have always found the area to be relatively tolerant. That was not the case when I walked into the Saddle Sore. One night a bunch of friends of mine were there having drinks, and I decided to come join them. If you haven't noticed my skin is a little on the dark side. I walked into that place with my girlfriend at time time (who happened to have much lighter skin than I), and with the hateful stares we got we walked out 5 minutes later. I'm an American cowboy with mexican ancestry my wife's American with European ancestry. The moment we walked in we got a bunch of weird stares one cowboy even said something to me. When I looked at him and asked him to repeat it he just shrugged his shoulders. The bartenders knew him well I'm guessing he is a regular the racism is disgusting here.
