We had a great experience at Doña Luisa's Mexican Grill in Norco. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the portions were generous. A special shoutout to Rebecca, our server, who was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. Went here because my sister loves Mexican food and it was her birthday. They did a great job with the decorations. The walls and even the tables are covered with Mexican art. There was also Spanish music playing. It's a long wait for the food to be prepared, so the chips and salsa were appreciated. When our server noticed that our chips and my sister's water were gone, she was quick to refill them. When the food came out, the portions were impressively big, big enough for us to have leftovers to take home. I thought my burrito tasted salty when I took the first bite. I thought I might be imagining it, but when I ate the leftovers later I thought the same thing. Maybe because it was so cheesy? So if you're watching your sodium, this might not be so great. At the same time, it wasn't spicy, so I'm glad they had 2 different hot sauces and a shaker of red peppers available on the table so you can adjust the spiciness. I ordered the vegetarian burrito, but it was more bean and cheese than veggies and definitely not vegan. There was a tiny bit of greens put to one side outside of the burrito. So I liked the atmosphere and the portions, not so much the saltiness of my burrito that I also wish had more greens. read more

We've been 4 times now. We enjoy some real Mexican food and this place has been good with good food and good service. Last night was definitely not like the last 3 times we've been. The Albondigas was like warm, the zucchini's in it were hard, they forgot to bring out some of our food items and it took so long to get our food. It wasn't even a busy night. Our little family have been coming here since the week they opened. Good food. Good Service. Shrimp Quesadilla is the #1 best item on the menu, on my opinion. The "New" taco salad with grilled chicken is excellent. My husband gets carnitas or chili Colorado "wet" almost every time, and the Albondigos soup. Caldo de Pollo,,, chicken soup w crisp perfectly cooked veggies like celery onion carrot potato in big chunks- a very solid choice comes with tortillas and Spanish rice. I checked in yesterday during a super long Norco DMV wait and the Dona Luisa's Team took such great care of me and my new friend Morty! Isabel was my Server and she was so focused, professionally helpful, and attentively kind to help set the perfect mood for a spontaneous afternoon Siesta. I tried their Guava Lemon Agua Fresca for the first time and it was amazing!! My parents live in Norco and my mom and I visit this restaurant after pickle ball. The place is always perfectly clean and the food is really delicious. For some reason, we were really hungry for good Mexican food this week and visited twice, Wednesday and Friday. Friday, my wife and father came to have lunch with us. Rebecca was our server and she did such a fantastic job we left with smiles on our faces and full bellies. Was looking for a new breakfast spot and I'm glad I found this gem. The food was amazing. The pozole was on point, not too spicy and the pork was very tender. Our server Eve was fantastic. My wife tried to order a chicken bowl over the phone. She was told they don't have chicken bowls. She suggested a tostada or a salad. It's on the menu on door dash and Yelp as meat bowl. You can select chicken. When I went to pick up she tells me my wife ordered wrong. You have to say meat bowl with chicken. Not chicken bowl or she will suggest a salad or tostada. We have been coming here for years always had good service and good food. Today however was not great at all. The food was not great. My son got the kids hamburger which looked like the had been ran over. My daughter got the kids taco meal, her rice tasted burnt and she said the tacos did not taste right either. I got the shrimp tacos. The shrimp did not have any flavor, seem like they were just thrown in there and they expected all the flavor to come from the toppings. Prices seem to be higher than what they normally are. They also added the tip themselves onto the check and on top of that expected us to pay an additional tip. The worst part was that are to go box had a cockroach that was still alive and moving. I'm not even sure why we wanted to take the left overs.... I would say the waiter was extremely nice and patient as we ordered. He did bring out all the food right away, except for 1 dish that apparently they had forgotten about. read more

I had pozole for dinner tonight -- it was pretty tasty! The food here is good, and I really enjoy the nice ambiance and the artwork on the walls. That said, the evening service was disappointing. I know this place gets really busy at lunchtime, so maybe the service is better then? IDK. ‍ Drops this rating - two stars. Why? This was my second time coming here for dinner, and unfortunately, it felt almost like a repeat of the last visit. Last time, we waited so long without anyone making eye contact that we eventually just left. This time, they at least acknowledged us once -- but we still ended up waiting a long while. It wasn't even close to closing time, but it felt like they didn't really want to serve anyone else. Definitely gave off some "Twilight Zone" vibes. Good food... but the evening service really takes away from the experience. Waiting a long time for our order - we had a small basket of chips and they wanted to charge to refill chips. Ok, but don't take 40 minutes to bring out the food. Does that sound "hangry"? Sitting and not getting a refill in water, getting hot tea with lukewarm water (twice), no complimentary chips for the wait, side salad with very little salad...no bueno I'd recommend take out not dine in. read more

I've been going to Dona Luisa since it opened. I live in Eastvale and it's my 'go to' spot for the closest to 'Home Cooked' Mexican food in my area. Love that their Caldos (soups) are available everyday of the week. Albondigas, Pozole, Caldo de Res, Menudo are all on-point! All the other 'feel good' plates, combo plates are delicious....their beans and rice taste just like home! Kudos to Laura for always giving us the best and most hospitable service when we roll up. last thing....check out their bar and catch a game while having a drink and/or a bite to eat.
