I've driven by this place several times and I would've never stopped by the looks of the sign in the front. It definitely matches the current sixth street vibe hopefully that's a temporary sign and they'll get a professional one soon. My friend brought me there today. I was kind of surprised at how nice it looked inside, unfortunately within five minutes, I was dripping and sweat. It was so hot in there. There were only two people working and it was pretty busy. Our server was absolutely wonderful. His name was unusual Caleb or something that starts with a K. I ordered the $17 lunch special, which was very very tiny. Definitely way overpriced. The vodka pasta was good though. The serving was the size of my fist... for $17 dollars!!! These still working were working their tails off, sweat dripping from one of the men. I felt pretty bad for them. The only pleasant part of this lunch was our server the Young guy named Caleb. I don't think that was his name. It was unusual and it started with a K. We've been here several times, and every visit has been a great experience. The team at the hostess stand always greets guests with a genuine smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you walk in. We've visited both with and without reservations, and reservation times have always been honored. On this visit, it was just my husband and me, and Nicole was our server. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. I started with the Jalapeño Basil Margarita and ordered the beer-battered fish tacos. To finish, I had the Hog High Old Fashioned. Everything was superb. The margarita had a subtle smoky flavor with just a hint of basil--refreshing, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. The Hog High Old Fashioned is usually my go-to cocktail and is always crafted to perfection. With bacon in the mix, it's hard to go wrong! My husband enjoyed a local IPA on tap along with the Jalapeño Popper Egg Rolls and Spicy Tuna Tostadas, both of which he loved. Even our two teenagers are big fans of the food here, which says a lot. I have eaten here a few of times, and every time has been amazing. This last trip I decided to give a few of the appetizers to try and had jalapeño popper egg rolls and spicy tuna tostadas. Both were amazing and I will definitely be sure to order with an entrée next time I visit. I accompanied my meal with a local IPA which I also. Everything is supposed to be handcrafted. I believe that most of it is. Everything we ordered was hot, juicy, crispy, tasty, flavorful, whatever it was supposed to be. Starting with the cocktails and mimosas, all delicious. Espresso martini made with homemade espresso. Bomb. Bloody Mary was delicious with the smoked salt on the rim, the bacon strip was actually still hot off the grill and was a solid piece of bacon. Next, the double tavern burger with bacon. Yes, it's gonna cost you, but I assure you it was worth all $30. Everything was juicy and fresh. Only thing was the bottom bun got soggy pretty quick, but since it was so good I'm not complaining much. The regular fries were crispy and tasty. The crispy chicken sandwich was legit. Juicy and large piece of chicken freshly fried. The Calabrian chili slaw and a nice little sweet heat crunch to it and the pesto smacked. Got the cilantro garlic fries with this and those were amazing too. The ranch. You can taste the fresh dill in it, rich and tangy, always get sides of ranch. The staff was very attentive and made sure everyone was taken care of. In addition to that, the entire set up in open and very clean. We ate outside on the back patio which is full of games and things for anyone to do really (cornhole, big jenga blocks, etc). Lots of room out there. When we came here, it was a Wednesday night so I guess you can say it was "Country Night" with live music. Our visit was two weeks ago and now I finally have time to write about it. We made reservations for 8 (including kids). I like the place. It's nice and the vibes and decor matches what they're going for. Parking is good and seating is decent for a small restaurant with booth to the side and tables on the middle section near the bar. They also have outside seating too with bathrooms along the back area. Music is definitely loud and we found ourselves talking louder just to communicate with one another. We ordered from the happy hour menu. Happy hour ended at 6pm on Wednesday and we made it right before! We got a variety of things. The tostadas were delicious. The adobo chicken tacos were stuffed and had a kick to it. Really flavorful. The garlic noodles were a bit too salty. The loaded pepperoni flat bread was decent. Just too much dough. The jalapeño eggrolls were good, definitely tasted better with the sauce it came with. The tavern nachos were mid and the "chicken tenders" for the kids were ok. No seasoning whatsoever on the chicken and very plain but fries were good. Drinks were a mixed review. The smoked old fashion was fire and definitely well done. The margarita flight was interesting. It's only served Tuesday but they made an exception for us since the waitress didn't know it's only for Tuesday and other guests got it too. The spicy margarita was good, the strawberry one didn't taste like strawberry. The mango didn't taste like mango. We were a bit confused but it is what it is, not all drinks can win. The golden sunset margarita was gross, it was really sour for some reason like they forgot the tequila. We're not one to complain and dealt with it. The city smash was good. Definitely worth it for happy hour. Overall service was good, food was decent and environment is kid friendly. Live music is definitely a plus. This place is a welcome surprise in this city. The food is not like any other bar food. Its more of an upscale accessible all American with a fusion twist. They got such a wide ranging menu from fish tacos to caviar and cioppino. They has so many varieties, there wipp always be something for everyone in the party. Their alcohol selection is vast and the decor is very earthy and warm. Love the atmosphere and the server was so attentive and great with checking up on us. I had the fish taco blackened with truffle parmesan fries. Well worth it. My friend got a pesto sandwich and it was good from what I gather. So many things to try. Last night was Joel Sabas birthday party at circle city tavern. Ashley Felton was there. The food was great. Ashley is great. Even the location was great. However, there were a few snags that seem reasonable to mention. We made a reservation. When we sat down, first thing she said I can only take 2 cards, every thing else has to be cash. OK, well you could have mentioned that earlier, maybe at reservation time. Who has enough cash for dinner and drinks without preparation? There was also a 20 percent mandatory tip. We were a party of 10. Ok. That's customary. At the end of dinner. She charged us 30 percent. Because other members had arrived and sat at other tables. We didn't know until we paid. So since we brought more people in, we were charged extra. With no notice, no warning we were charged additional because more people came in and sat at other tables. I'm thinking this was a cash grab. High end restaurants don't do that. I've never been to any restaurant that charged 30 percent. I might or might not go back. For sure I won't have a party or event there. read more

I stumbled on this place on a Monday afternoon after studying (there's a library just a quick walk nearby in case folks are interested in taking a break. I was able to attend their Happy Hour which on Mondays are from 3pm to close which I loved! I was really impressed by how modern and decorative the restaurant was and they had plenty of seating inside, on their patio, and even at the bar with lots of tvs. It was pretty empty when I went but it was also a Monday. I ordered a cocktail (Crimson Drop), an order of fries, and their Tavern Burger. I also chuckled because on their menu they had Girl Dinner which if you know, you know. I'll likely order that next time. The fries were the perfect amount of crispy and flavorful. The cocktail was a little bit on the sweeter side for my taste but for $8 it delivered! I wasn't impressed with their burger--there wasn't enough sauce for me so it tasted pretty bland and I was expecting more. Maybe their other burgers are better? I originally wanted their happy hour nachos which didn't come with protein and I wasn't able to add any protein to it unless I bought the "regular-priced" one which I also thought was a little strange? I love that Corona is adding new businesses to the downtown area. I decided to try this place as it's 5 minutes from home. I love the decor and the open air vibe. It looks like a tavern. Lol! There are several TVs around the restaurant so I'd say it's great for sports fans. The servers are very attentive and friendly and seem happy to be there. The food is mediocre and a tad bit over priced. I had fish and chips which was fried too long and not very flavorful. I also has the cesear salad which comes with anchovies . (Ask to have those removed). The portions or sizeable and can be shared. Overall it's a cool place to hang out for drinks and sports, food is mid. Went to Circle City Tavern for the first time ever.. I was charged $45 for ONE shot of Fortaleza Reposado with pineapple juice. When I questioned it, the bartender (John) told me it's because the bottle is "$300" and only yields about 18 shots. That explanation doesn't add up -- the same bottle is widely available for around $150 retail, and bars don't pay retail pricing. To make it worse, I went to The Brass Tap right after and ordered the exact same drink for $15. Same tequila, same order, a third of the price. Such a cute tavern with good food. When you walk in, the staff are welcoming and friendly. The music is upbeat but not too loud, so you can still easily have a conversation. We arrived at the restaurant on Wednesday night for the live county night, where Ashley was performing. Our server, Melissa, greeted us warmly and informed us about the upcoming happy hour, which would end soon. We requested to sit outside, found out we could not move tables to accommodate our group (there were 11 of us). Sat at 2 tables. Service was very slow. 15 minutes to get drink orders, another 15 to get food ordered. One table, food came out but the other table wasn't served for 30 more minutes. We asked for separate checks, was told only 2 checks per party. With the electronic, hand held computers, separate checks are easy and very fast(at least at other establishments). Water was never refilled. The table with 5 (only 4 ordered food) we were charged a "mandatory" 20% tip. The table with 6 was not charged the group gratuity. The food is good, but it will be a long time before we return... too bad. read more

Great spot to grab food and hang out -- unless you're hoping to watch a specific game. The staff was surprisingly strict and impatient when customers asked if a TV could be changed. With more than five TVs in the place, it seems unreasonable that a single game request couldn't be accommodated, especially during playoff season when multiple leagues are active. Having an East Coast baseball game on in SoCal just didn't make much sense. Read the room. What really stood out was the rude response from the older bar lead with glasses. A simple and casual request to switch one TV was met with an abrupt "we can't change TVs after 5pm." The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive and unfriendly. I commented on one of their instagram posts about our really bad lunch experience so they blocked me instead of trying to make it right. This place tries way too hard to be "exclusive". We walked in on a Saturday around noon and only one table had customers and the hostess asked if we had reservations. We said "no" but doesn't look like we need one, so the hostess looked really irritated that we hadn't reserved a table so she had to leave and see if we can be seated. We got a table and then waited to have our drink order taken. We didnt know it was brunch menu so I asked if there's a regular menu and we got "no you came here during brunch". Took orders and never refilled water or seemed interested in serving us. We are a respectful family and never came off as rude to them. Food was bland and they put pesto on the chicken sandwich which made it mushy and no flavor. Their old fashion cocktail was the only good thing. Prices were hilarious for what you get. We definitely won't be going back and my comment on their IG I talked about their drinks are really good but apparently they suck at customer service by blocking me. Why the city employees and council members hype this place up is beyond me. They're hoping for a mediocre wannabe high class bar restaurant to catapult their new Main St Corona hub and sadly I think it'll never be what they want. My husband been here before me, he brought me since we were in the area i'm happy he did! We got seated pretty fast, staff was nice and welcoming. Restrooms were nice and clean. We ordered the tuna toastadas from the appetizer menu along with artichoke spinach dip. The tuna toastadas were crispy and perfect amount if tuna i thought it wasn't enough but it was perfect! Flavor was delicious tangy, spicy from jalapeño, cilantro the tortillas fried to perfection. The spinach artichoke dip had cherry tomatoes which is new and different for me, it was nice. The cheese was a bit different it was toasty served with chips very tasty. My husband ordered the Argentina sandwich I think it was called it was on chabatta with chimichurri, tender steak it was da bomb!! I highly recommend it. My wife and I decided to try Circle City Tavern for her birthday thanks to the reviews on Yelp. We both had the Argentinian Steak Sandwich with salad. The simple tossed salad consisted of fresh, thin-sliced romaine, a few chunks of tomatoes and shredded cheddar cheese. The hanger steak was cooked to order and sliced. The aoli and chimichurri were great complements to the streak as we're the cherry tomato halves and pickled red onion slivers. The melted provolone on grilled ciabatta bread worked perfectly with the steak. If the hot, milk chocolate filled beignets are too much for you, try finishing your meal with their Botanic Bloom non-alcoholic drink. It's sweet and "botanic." Our waitress was friendly and efficient, despite recently returning from maternity leave. She came to take our order just as we had decided on the sandwiches. Uncanny.
