These are the sweetest strawberries! I have enjoyed them for years and usually get an extra baskets for my parents. Definitely stop by.

I haven't been here for the past couple years. I've been going to Robledo's across the road from them. I drove by today and they were open so I bought a few things. I couldn't believe they have so much! Their sign only says strawberries. They had strawberries, cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, favs beans, garlic, lettuce, and other vegetables. They sell delicious jams. I bought the apricot and blueberry ones. Both were delicious. They mom makes them. I also bought a bouquet of beautiful sweet peas! I actually stopped at their stand between Hopland and Ukiah but after reading the reviews, I have no doubt that this is the family produce provider as A) the name was the same B) these were the best $%#@ strawberries I have ever tasted in my friggin life...like, strawberries from another planet. My husband could not believe that I did not put sugar on them. C) the young woman at the stand was like a dementor, she practically froze my soul with her icy glare and replies tinged with impatience, condescension and something that felt pretty damn close to hatred. So three stars? Yeah. I'll be making a trip to Fairfield. These strawberries are worth it. I'm going to try giving her a present or something. For 20 years, my family has anticipated the day Sachaeo opens. Their berries are always sweet and delicious. We are so lucky to live in an area where we can take advantage of farm fresh produce. I once wanted to serve chocolate covered strawberries for a party. They were so accommodating. With the advance notice of a day, they provided me strawberries with stems still on. Who knew?! Managed to get by here a couple of times during strawberry season. The first time [late May] they had only the large tasteless strawberries I detest, so I bought some fava beans and went on. I went here last weekend with my friend Scott who was unfortunate to eat the strawberries and got sick. We got the cherries which were pretty good, but thank goodness that I didn't try the strawberries! Why do I think that it was this establishment that caused my friend's sickness? Well, my wife and I ate the same dishes as him for lunch and dinner. We also tried the strawberries at the 99 U-Pick Cherry stand, and none of us got sick. Also, after Scott tried the strawberries after recovering, he felt sick again. So beware of the strawberries, but the cherries are great here! read more

The young woman behind the counter is unpleasant, impatient and rude. I don't care if these are the best strawberries in the valley and they are giving them away, I will never go back. I make special trips out to this stand to get strawberries for all sorts of occasions. Be aware they are often really ripe and ready to eat right away so don't buy them a couple days in advance of when you want to serve them. We eat what we can and freeze the rest for smoothies. I also enjoy the walnuts and random veggies that appear throughout the season. read more

Stay away from the Strawberries. Made me sick for two days. Fresh picked does not necessarily mean no pesticides or good for you. the strawberries looked so good, I bought a half flat. After eating fell, ill with nausea and dizziness. I thought I had a flu or something else, so I suffered for a couple of days, recovered and then tried more strawberries. Again dizzy with nausea. I washed the crap out of these berries as well. That is way too much of a coincidence for me to chance it again. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for years. We love the various berries they have through the growing season. Nothing here has ever made us ill and for those who claim illness, any produce should be washed thoroughly before consuming no matter where you purchase. As far as the young woman behind the stand, she is a sweetheart and has a great sense of humor. She has never been rude however I have seen customers treat her badly. She is out there trying to earn a living, I have seen people try to bargain the prices down or expect freebies. Understand that the American farmers have a tough time with low profit margins. Give the place a break, it is a jewel here in Solano County. read more

I just stopped at this stand for the first time. I eat a lot of fruit and thought that the berries would be much better than the tasteless ones I have been getting at the supermarkets. The strawberries looked pretty good and the price was reasonable; however, the young woman working there was more than unfriendly, she was downright rude. It wasn't like I was unpleasant to her; I smiled and made a little small talk and she just glared at me. I asked her if I reminded her of someone she doesn't like and she replied "Did I say that ?!" in a loud and obnoxious voice. The house and property look pretty shabby and since I live on a vineyard, I know how much time and energy go into producing fruit, so I cannot imagine why her family would allow her to be the representative for their business. Not only will I never buy anything there, but I will discourage my neighbors from doing so. Please Larry's produce....open soon. I love Saechao's strawberries...in fact, I can no longer eat the ones at the store. They are always tasty and I love that the flats usually have a mix of super ripe and less ripe so you can eat some right now but still have some for a few days. I think the "young women behind the counter" is actually really nice. I see her at least once or twice a week and she is always polite and friendly to me. I also enjoy their cherries, blackberries and blueberries. This is a great little fruit stand IMO and I will continue to give them my patronage. read more

Also the young Asian woman behind the counter has real attitude--hip, curt, knowing, flippant, all she needs is a nose ring and lots of tats with weird dragons flying toward you and... The strawberries I bought a few days ago were o.k., but the ones I've been getting from Costco have been actually sweeter this year. The cherries were good. Wow, I am unsure why anyone would be so cruel and to write reviews so mean about this place!!! You all try working in the sun not knowing how many people will buy your amazing fruit and veggies!!! Had to address this first off!! She is a very nice lady!! My husband is very picking about fruit as he worked for fruit and agriculture. I have lived in 3 states and overseas. This younger woman who works behind the stand has a severe personality disorder, she ruins the whole fruit buying experience. She is extremely RUDE, Disrespectful, has the look of hatred in her eyes, very impatient too. I stopped by last few years, each time same thing, I figured she would improve with time, but still the same horrible person. Their fruit is fine, but why go thru this rudeness ?, it will ruin your day, I always go home pissed off. She would be better suited to pick the fruit, rather than to deal with the public. I have always wanted to tell her off, but maybe she seeks a confrontation. Last stop, I saw she was still there, so I went back to car. The other 3 people I was with, dealt with her, agreed she's very rude. 2 bought fruit, one did not buy do to the rudeness & sarcasm. Even if the fruit were free, I would reject it if I had to deal with her. I do not think that medication or self help books on manners would do her any good. Perhaps she can find Jesus, a person like this needs prayers. read more

I have been going to this farm for the last 11 years. They have strawberries, cherries, tomatoes, fava beans, garlic, apricots (from Bakersfield). The prices are low & quality good. Strawberries are iffy. Sometimes they are too ripe when picked and last only a day. Other times they are better and can last refrigerated for a few. I've never been sickened by the strawberries as others have posted. But what sickens me is the way the young counter woman treats her customers, and for this I've given them one star. She has always had odd and cold behavior which I've tolerated, but when I was there yesterday, she was downright rude...eye rolling, dirty looks, and snapping out answers to questions. She had to pack 1/4 flats and threw them onto the counter and slammed down the calculator when she couldn't figure out the total of my purchase. I have never seen her smile and people -- don't expect a thank you. Another local berry farm has opened and I'm going to give them a try. And can't wait for Erickson's Ranch to open where they are friendly and farm to their customers. read more
