So this is what a gordita should taste like? I moved here from the midwest, Ohio. We basically had Taco Bell gorditas lol. They were not anything like these. Very tasy and hit the spot. Best gorditas in town...No kidding. They are. Reasonable prices and quick service add to the experience of "craving" the gorditas. The salsa compliments the beef gorditas. The red chili gorditas stand up on thier own and dont need salsa. Over-all this place is a must when driving down solano and needing good food that fills the belly. I defiantly recommend. While visiting Las Curces, I would say this was my favorite food I ate. This was my first time having gorditas (that weren't from Taco Bell). I was lucky to get there 15 minutes before they closed I ordered a ground beef and a green chile gordita. The prices are reasonable and the service is fast. Did I also mention how tasty the salsa is spicy but not too hot. The gorditas were crispy on the outside and the filling stayed inside topped with lettuce and cheese. I also like how they add some chopped potato to both the ground beef and green chile meat. I will visit again and recommend trying this place despite what it looks like on the outside. read more

After reading other reviews I was excited to try this place and ordered the beef Gordita plate. It was really underwhelming...the beef wasn't seasoned, it was kinda plain and cheap, more like fast food (but not in a good taqueria way). The salsa was good but the actual food I didn't finish. Would leave a zero if possible but can't. This restaurant messed up my food in February 17 2021 10 minutes before closing. I called back to tell them and the person who took my order said they would remake the food for me. I told him I couldn't come back right then so he said just come by to get it when you are ready. I called today to get that order and now they are refusing to honor what they said. They stole $29.00 of my money as I was not able to eat the food I ordered. This is not right. Reconsiderations during the late pandemic: I stopped in at Saenz Gorditas and went through their drive in window. The restaurant was quite busy this day but everything moved like clockwork. The ordering process went smoothly and the staff was extremely efficient and polite. Today I sampled three gorditas: their chicharrones gordita with red chile sauce, their green chile meat gordita, and their red chile meat gordita. Also sampled their green chile burrito. The gordita shells were really good....nice size, nice flavor and not at all greasy. The chicharrone gordita had a lot of refried beans in it and a few pieces of chicharrone which gave it a bit of crispness. Not much flavor from the chicharrone. For some reason this gordita shell fell apart rather quickly and the gordita had to be consumed with a fork. This gordita was ok, but I probably would not order it again. The green chile gordita had a lot of potato chunks in it and the beef was a little tough in places and not carefully trimmed; in other words, there was a bit of untrimmed fat here and there. The flavor of the beef was ok and the green chile flavor was good. The red chile meat gordita was fairly good. All-in-all, some pretty good gorditas at a fair price. I enjoyed them. The gordita shells were, this day, excellent. The green chile meat burrito was stuffed with beef chunks and potato chunks. The overall flavor was good but, again, there was some fat not trimmed off the beef. All-in-all, not a bad burrito. The meat was tender. I have had better and I've had worse. At the end of the day, Saenz Gorditas offers quick and polite service, reasonable prices, nicely prepared gordita shells, and food that is a bit above average. Since I dined out front on the picnic tables I am giving the overall experience three-and-a-half stars.....meaning above average. The food I would say is worth FOUR STARS......meaning quite good, but not outstanding. read more

The tacos are absolutely wonderful along with the gorditas. In fact, they are so tasty I can't remember ordering anything else that I could review. Went here for lunch today. 8 cars in drive through line a very good sign. We ordered a chicken Gordita and a burrito supreme. Car line moved quickly. Pleasant person at window has food ready within seconds of our arrival. Wife gave her Gordita 8 out of 10 taste/quality. Looked delicious. My burrito was also an 8 out of 10. Our lunch cost $8.02.
