Cool vibe and cheap prices. Good for children. Course was not terribly challenging, but the vibe on a nice day is relaxing.

I always enjoy this place with my kids. It is a classic safari miniature golf that has been on the turnpike as long as I can remember. I used to go on dates with my husband here 16 years ago! It's almost always busy so just plan to be patient waiting to go to the next hole but, we always enjoy the challenges. I was surprised by the amount of gnats. If anything that is my only complaint buy hey! Your in the safari. Lol read more

This place is awful!!! The walk ways are so uneven, and very difficult to walk on. This is not a very accessible place for people who may have handicaps. There are no watch your step signs on areas with large drops in the walkways. I fell multiple times trying to walk to each hole. I will never come back here again and I suggest you don't either. We took my daughter here for her first mini golf experience. Her dad and I have quite a lot of mini golfing under our belts for comparison, and can say this is one of the best - maintained courses we've ever been to. The greens are in perfect shape, the grounds are lush with greenery and water features, and "safari" animals dot the course adding visual interest. Our only complaint was the actual course design. The holes were almost entirely straight forward with no obstacles or special features. It made the actual game kind of boring. But overall it was a nice place to spend some family time and I'm sure we will be back. read more

My sister and I visited and had a good time. There are many holes that are well kept, and then there are a few that could use an upgrade. Overall the course was not as challenging as other mini golf's I have been to , but who care's mini golf is fun. I would go back ! read more

I have been going to Safari Mini Golf since I was a little girl. I am now 31 & to me it is still one of the BEST mini golf courses around! Whenever anybody wants to go play some mini golf, Safari is always the first place to come to mind! I've been here way more times than I can count, but it's still fun every time. I love this place! The boyfriend and I come at least a couple times a summer. It's definitely challenging and the safari animals are a good touch. I had a great time mini golfing with my boyfriend!!! It was super fun and because it's fall, not a lot of people were there. It had a lot of cute stuff to look at like the jungle animals. I liked the waterfall and bridges the best. The holes weren't super hard, usually I got frustrated when I do bad but each hole was relatively easy. I can't wait to come back in the summer! read more

A solid plastic picturesque miniature golf outing on the outskirts of the Turnpike and among the state's most prized next to Farmington Miniature Golf, whose been kept well over the years. The junglesque hillscape of Safari Golf is garnished with fiberglass safari fixtures and occasional waterfalls hasn't changed much since the 80's, retaining a childhood glory and joyousness that still lends a challenge and trick within. A few holes tease with putt-putt-like inns but remind players not to get overconfident. Aside a few crippling holes towards the end, the course is still solid though heavier-grade turf replacement in 2014 has resulted in an imbalance between holes. The "make-out gazebos" have also been removed for simpler seating. Clubs should be next on the chopping block with refreshed offerings. As per tradition, the 18th hole is the free game attempt, and may luck be the guide on that. read more

This was great. I took my 5-yo son, and he had a great time. It was afternoon on Labor Day, so there were a ton of people playing, but we just had to wait a few minutes at the last few holes. They have nice benches to sit on and, of course, giant animal statues to look at. Everything was well-maintained. There's a ton of shade, so I imagine it's tolerable even on a hot day. I grew up in Wethersfield and went to Safari Golf at least once a month in the summer. When I come back to visit friends, we still schlep over here because it's just that great. Love that waterfall that is way too blue to be natural. read more

Great place to take your kids! I went on a Saturday afternoon with my friend and were asked if we wanted to play the challenging or the fun course. We went with the challenging course but soon regretted it due to the similar bumpy layout every hole displayed. However, it was very entertaining and worth the money. Overall a fun experience, but the holes were not very challenging at all. It would have been so much cooler if they could have found some way to incorporate the animals (which were beautiful by the way) into each hole to make them a bit more challenging. read more

I just came back from Safari Golf with my husband. We met up with my brother, my friend and her 6 year old son. It was 8 o'clock and we were the last group they were taking for the night. The woman working the booth had no problem accepting our money and letting us in. We noticed at the 2nd hole that the woman who let us in seemed to be following us. At hole four she told us that we needed to split up. Mind you we were not being obnoxious or loud and the only other people in the park were in the last few holes. I asked what the problem was, and she said that the rules are only four people to a group. I mentioned that our 5th was a 6 year old child and that we were that last ones in the park so what difference does it make? She said well it is going to take you an hour to get through the course and we needed to split into two groups. Now whether we split up or not, we would be right behind each other anyway. She went back into her little booth and I asked her why she did not mention this when we came in? she said those are just the rules. So I asked for the name of the manager and she said she was the manager. She said she was the owner, and if I wanted a refund, she would give it to me and I could come back tomorrow. I walked away reasonably pissed. Then her husband who appeared to be drunk followed me back to my group. He started telling us that we needed to follow their rules. Which by the way were not posted anywhere!!!!! He then said she told us this when we checked in. So I asked him if he had been drinking which appearantly ticked him off. My husband and I separated from my brother my friend and her son, went back and told the "owners" that we would take that refund and that we would surely not be back!!! As we left the grounds I looked over to the safari booth and all the gates surrounding it, and there was no sign anywhere stating that there were only 4 aloud to group. SO being the character I am, I said loudly to my husband, so the drunken idiots can hear, "Boy I sure am glad we came here! The rules are so clear and the people who run the place sure make you feel comfortable and right at home!!!" We will never again visit Safari Golf!!! read more

The theme is cool and the course is well-maintained. They also had places to sit with shade, which is good for those sunny days.

My family went 5/12/12 and had a great time. The place is very well maintained; animals freshly painted; nice water features; shady spots to sit throughout. A great deal ($7 adults) and a great day. read more

Very nice place to play mini-golf for people of all ages. Nicely landscaped, shady, well maintained course, clean bathrooms, friendly staff. We just had my 6-year-old son's birthday party here and had a wonderful time playing and then sitting on the shaded deck. Highly recommended. read more
