We have had the pleasure of leaving our twins in the safe and nurturing environment created by Safari Kid's care givers. Almost two years into this experience we have seen remarkable improvement in our kids in their learning and development. The kids interact, play and learn in groups of their peers and the school does a very good job introducing them to new ideas, concepts, artwork etc. My kids cannot stop talking about their teachers esp. Miss Pallavi and Miss Neena who go the extra mile to make them feel at home and cared for. The school itself does a good job getting to know the parents and providing detailed feedback on the kids' progress. The curriculum as well as extra curricular activities are well balanced and keep the tiny tots interested and excited. The student to teacher ratio is also reasonable though we have seen that get higher over the past few months. Overall we have nothing but good things to say about Safari Kid. read more

Our daughter has been attending the Safari Kid Preschool for 1.5 years. We have been super happy with Safari Kid both from an academics as well as a social/emotional perspective. Additionally, we love the staff - the teachers as well as the director and owner are very friendly and really attend to the needs of all the children. Academically, Safari Kid has a strong, well-rounded curriculum, with multiple teaching methods in order to reach children in different ways. My daughter loves the hands-on science experiments they do as a part of their STEM curriculum. When my daughter entered preschool at age 3, she knew her letters but was not reading yet. After going through their phonics program, she has started reading and can work her way through small books. The preschool teacher (Ms. Pallavi), is superb. She is very loving and patient with the children. She creates a nurturing environment where kids feel safe and love to learn. She notices what each kid needs and makes sure to support them. When the new school year began, several of our daughter's friends moved on to kindergarten. The teacher made sure to help her make new friends to help her settle back in. The preschool director (Ms. Neena) and Safari Kid owner (Ms. Jaishree) are also very loving towards the children. They make it a point to get to know the children and families well. They both are very approachable and open to feedback. In fact, they actively solicit feedback in an effort to make enhancements/improvements. We are super happy with the preschool program at Safari Kid. Most importantly, our daughter is learning a lot and loves going to school! read more

Love the school and Teachers. I was looking for a school from my 4-year-old toddler [then]. A place where teachers will push his limits and explore his passion and strengths [academically] and a place which is safe. This school is very near to my home, so we opted to review the curriculum and facility and liked it. I love the confidence my son has gained since he has started going to safari kids. And the best part he enjoys doing his homework, saying it's easy. When I ask him why he says because Ms. Pallavi [His teacher] makes it so easy. It's a home away from home for him. Time for a real review :) My son has been with Safari Kid for close to a year now. He started out in their afterschool and then was in summer camp. We've tried a couple of nearby places in Evergreen that claim to have well-rounded programs, but most of them made big promises to get our child in the door. He suffered academically and remained very shy, which was a concern for us. My son loves Safari kid. He has made some friends and they recently doubled their space (so no crowding issues at all). What made us happy was that he finally seems to be coming out of his shell with the help of the staff. I asked him just today how he feels about Safari Kid. He says everyone is really cool to him. In my interactions with staff there, they seem pleasant and accommodating. They try to really know what my son likes and what concerns I had as a parent. It's funny to see the previous negative reviews have come up only after another wannabe daycare place started. My advice? Do what I did and check the place out yourself. Our daughter has been going to Safari Kid for over two years now and I can honestly say that we're very happy here. The teachers/staff at Safari Kid are amazing and have been here for many years. The care and love, not to mention the educational programs that are offered here are essential for us in choosing an after school care for our daughter. Equally important, our daughter loves it here with all the beautiful friendships that have developed with the neighborhood school students. Mrs. Jaishree, the owner, is very sweet, generous, and embraces feedback. She cares about the children, is very receptive to new ideas from parents and she works very hard to recruit and retain the best teachers at her facility. Mrs. Neena, the director, is also outstanding and is always happy. I have nothing but positive feelings for this school. My kids went there last year for the after school program. I totally agree that it was poorly managed. It was crowded and very noisy. The tutors were very inexperienced working with children. They couldn't explain concepts well. My kids either came home with unfinished homework or with a lot of mistakes on HW when they did receive help. It was more like a babysitting place rather than a place for learning. read more

We have our 3 yr kid going to safari kid in evergreen area in san jose from aug-2016 till now. It has been a great experience for us. The staff are very friendly and informative. The classes are well organized and field trips are very nice. The pumpkin patch trip is very enjoyable for the kids. Our kid has bonded well with the teachers and other kids and has improved a lot in her communication over the year. The staff incorporate feedback and are very responsive. My son has grown so much since attending Safari Kids. This facility provides a very safe and nurturing environment for kids to study, learn and grow. My wife and I were amazed when he first came home and told us that poor Pluto is not a planet (haha). He continues to surprised us with little things that is taught to him every week or so. My daughter started Preschool at Safari Kid when she was 2 years and 9 months.Its been 2+ years and our experience has been awesome.She is now in TK in public school and goes to Safari Kid after school . She enjoys her time at Safari Kid. She has learned a lot in her preschool.We are always surprised at how advanced she is academically. At the same time Safari Kid is very well rounded.She does a lot of different activities,projects,art etc. Safari Kid atmosphere has been very loving and always accommodative. She loves her Preschool teachers and she misses them .Even now she talks about Ms.Pallavi and whenever she sees her she is so happy. Ms. Neena and Ms Jaishree have been very nice through out.They always try to accommodate any situations.At times when I had to leave early Ms.Neena said she can arrange for a teacher to be there so I can leave my daughter a little early.They have always been very understanding about situations like sudden meetings or getting stuck in traffic , arranging for lunch if needed even when told at last minute etc.They are always open when we give feedback and try their best to make changes. I never worry about how my kids are when I am at work as I feel they are in safe hands and will be taken care of. Overall we are very happy with Safari Kid and never once regretted on the decision we made.My daughter always comes out happy when we pick her up.She has a lot of fun there and gets upset if we come early and wants to stay longer so she could finish her activities. The team here at Safari kids is fantastic!!! My son's previous sitter was unable to continue caring for him and gave us little notice. I place a call here to safari kids after much research and Ms. Neena returned my call promptly and helped us set up a meeting and a walk through of the facility. I felt comfortable with the facility and the information she provided my husband and I. My son was enrolled and able to start that following week. My son fell in love with the teachers and looked forward to attending everyday. That made me feel reassured about our decision. The staff here gets to know the children very well and make it a home away from home. They would inform me and update me with any information he learned and would help him throughout his days. He came home learning so much. From sight words, songs, science, math, animals and other countries. I was impressed on how much he learned in the 6 months he attended. Unfortunately we had to pull him out for our summer vacations and he will be starting kindergarten in the fall. My child just started at Safari Kid school one month back in preschool and within a month i can see lots of changes in her even my relatives gave my child complements.After joining this school she is able to speak up more confidently,every single day when she's back from the school she has lots of knowledgeable facts to tell me.I am really impressed with their curriculum every Friday my daughter used to share a project from home with her class, I am amazed with the hard work her teacher Ms. Prasanna putting up, she has already learned so many meaningful songs,i feel so good and happy whenever i see her singing or humming new rhyme. Even in academics too she is doing much better.I am so happy with Ms. Jaishree and Ms. Neena as they always take care of my child concerns and get back to me. Originally, when I toured the space, I thought it was nice and they had a good curriculum but when I called to enroll my child, they never called me back. I called a few times with no answer. I left two messages and no one ever bothered to call me back. I suppose they could be closed for the summer or for the week but you think they would leave that information on their voicemail. Do not give them your banking account for auto pay. The amount per month changes at will. The calculating mistakes are not in your favor. I asked for a statement in April, I received it in September after several follow ups. I asked for a refund of credit. We graduated in June, it is November, I am still waiting. I have emailed, called, texted, and shown up to pick up the check. It is always "it will be mailed to you shortly". read more

My Son has been going now for few months . I would say they are just okay not great for the price they are charging. Since there are not much options in our Evergreen area, People end up using this center. I wish seeing the demand of After School enrichment, Other good after school programs should open in evergreen and then this center will have tough time managing their quality and parents expectations. read more

The preschool has an excellent, caring, nuturing, creative program. My kid loves the preschool, her teachers and friends. She returns home happy telling me about the day. Ms. Pallavi and Ms. Neena are doing wonderful jobs and they are very hands on with the kids. Everyday my child brings home a new thought,story, idea, song..the learning is going in her mind everyday. When my son started daycare at the age of 2.5, he was very unhappy. He would cry a lot, and wouldn't eat his lunch at all. It was very distressing to see him so unhappy. So, we decided to try another daycare (Safari Kid evergreen). He was transformed within a week! He started looking forward to going to daycare and even started saying "Hi" to other kids when going in. Unfortunately, evergreen was too far for us (we were coming from Palo Alto) and the drive was wearing me out, so we decided to try moving him back to his original (closer) daycare. He had such a positive experience at Safari kids that he was able to go back to his original daycare after a week AND start eating his lunch without any fuss! We are very grateful to Safari Kids for giving him such a great experience. All the teachers there (Miss Neena, Miss Jaishree, Miss Pallavi, Miss Vidya, Miss Jyoti and Miss Kathy) are so loving and wonderful. Safari Kids rocks! read more

Safari Kids Evergreen...all I can say is to be wary of them. They just want your money. Their initial charm is by impressing you with their "structured" curriculum plan for the younger age groups. My daughter just turned two when i enrolled her and I took the bait. I asked about potty training and they welcomed those who aren't fully trained yet. They claim they assist with potty training. We taught our daughter prior to enrolling her. She just needed reminders to go every once in a while. They tell me they open their doors at 8-8:30am. Because of our work schedule, we asked if we can drop her off at about 7-7:30a. They openly agreed. We just needed to let them know ahead of time so someone can be there early to open. When you enroll your child they'll ask for 1st and last month's payment, registration fee (understandable) material feels (ok) and an emergency kit fee (ok??). Which i paid a lump sum for. My daughter's school now, mind you, only asked for registration fee...that's it! Fine, but i get that's how some businesses work. As far as us dropping off our daughter early in morning, they were late coming in the very 1st day! I kept giving them chances, but it became a pattern. My husband was late to work multiple times even when we communicated that she was coming in early. Our daughter had soiled clothes EVERYDAY I picked her up from there. I had given them instructions to remind her to potty every hour because she's a new learner. One day, they put clothes on her that weren't hers. We provided them clothes in case she had an accident. They even put a diaper on her on a different day!! Every time we picked her up she was so dirty. Her clothes and her face. She was always in a bad mood every time we picked her up. Our daughter is naturally a happy child. It's strange when you pick up your child there. They don't allow parents to freely go into the classrooms to get them. They "walkie talkie" their teacher/caregivers and your child gets escorted to the front. For security purposes, ok that's good, but it was more prison like because you can't physically see what's really going on back there. We gave many chances despite their horrible communications styles. The last straw was the day they called me to give us a 24hour notice and said the school was going to be closed the following day d/t low census. The owner, Jaishree and the director, Neena do not communicate well amongst each other. I told Neena we had no other option and we needed to go to work. The owner Jaishree rudely told me my only option was to drop her off in a different location which was on the other side of town or have an extra day for her to come in the following month...no refunds! She didn't understand my frustration and/or didn't care. After countless calls back and forth between them, my husband, and I, they opened up the school for her and Neena watched her. I think Neena was really nice and my daughter liked her a lot, but the communication lacked and no one was on the same page. A real school system usually has a calendar of the days the school will be open and when they will be closed. Not a tentative schedule! What are we paying you for?! These people don't care about your kids, they just want your money. And to be honest, their teachers do not have the patience for the pre k students. My daughter looked like a mess every time i picked her up. Her lunch box always had trash inside. Unless you are friends with them...maybe they'll treat you and your child better. We were blessed and very lucky that the school down the street had a spot open and was able to take in our daughter. No more hassle. No more miscommunications, and most importantly, my daughter doesn't have soiled clothes when i pick her up! Also, they open at 6:30am...huge plus for us! She is very happy with her new school and so are we!! I'm hoping someone will read this before it's too late. read more
