I would give them 0 stars if I could. OMG! Yelpers, stay far away from this parasite-infested animal of a company. Beyond horrible, worst of the security options. I bought a house with a very elaborate but older security and alarm system installed by ADT. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called the main line for ADT and did not know this was the company they transferred my call to (ex: press 2 for residential...) until a man showed up at my house for the appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Let me call it right now: ADT is going to lose market share and stock value (ADT) in the next few years. Worst business experience I have had in 10 years out of dealing with thousands of businesses, easily. Wow wow wow. All I can say is their stock is way overvalued based on everything. I feel like I just got a trading tip from a friend on Wall Street. I am still angry and my skin is still crawling, and the guy was here less than 12 hours ago. This is a very real review from a homeowner, and I don't usually write them unless I feel a strong 0 or 5 experience just fyi. I don't have time to write a ton of reviews, but ADT and Safe Streets are going to get special treatment and follow up complaints in AZ and FL for this. Harmful to consumers with a busted business model. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I spent half an hour on the phone with Josh, and he advised me that ADT required him, as a licensed service provider (Safe Streets based out of FL, not even an AZ company) to run a soft credit check, get my social security number, and credit card before they could send a rep to my house to give me a quote on repairing their broken system.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Josh told me he would throw in free cameras, more cameras, google nest, and all upgrades required no charge. All lies, like unnecessary, waste of time, business bottleneck lies. The service tech pointed out that my whole system was in but my fire alarms weren't working, and I should disconnect it immediately because the system was a fire hazard slowly burning and would catch on fire eventually. OMG!!! I am lucky my house didn't burn down. The sales guy, Josh, told me the day before that my card wouldn't be charged unless I picked an option and renewed services. Before I even got to see the options, I checked and they charged my CC $199 with no authorization. For what exactly?? They lied and had no authorization ever to charge my card. We are embarking on a new, authentic business era, and companies like this will never make it and are rotting to death right now. Consumers, this business is a scam that will eventually go out of business and lose all stock value and investments. I will call it right now as a trader. I will do what I can to protect other consumers, but these companies clearly require state and federal agency intervention to protect them. ADT is a slimy penny stock that's about to have zero market demand. That is how bad my experience was, combined with a brief review of the businesses and stock. And the difference between what the sales guy told me and tricked me into versus what the tech said was insane. I cannot believe they have any customers. You are both committing fraud and deserve no customers. You are part of the dystopian society that just went out of business. You deserve no market share and are an embarrassment to the security industry, which is full of small, fantastic operators who care about their customers and business reputation. Don't walk, RUN from this company. We had a security system with them. We moved house after a year. They never showed back up to reinstall the security system after repeated attempts to get them to come back out. A year later, they sent me to collections for $1212.74 for breach of contract. Can't make this stuff up. I'm currently litigating against them now in small claims court. Save yourself the headaches and get a Ring doorbell camera. read more

I was told it was a possibility but told after the installation the lock during installation phone set up. I was told that my existing lock does not work with the system after installation. The installer did not attempt nor examine the lock to see if the lock was compatible with system. The install shared a lock could purchased from Safe Street and he could return to install it. I shared with the follow up installation satisfaction caller. At the end of install, the tech ask me to come to hear the doorbell chime and to see the lights on .... inferring it worked. Standing at the threshold of the front door open, I heard the doorbell chimes not realizing the chime was not coming for the panel that is a few feet from the front door. They showed me on the installers device that the door bell camera was working. THe camera had an approximate 180 degree view of the front of my home. The Smart Street installation took about 4-hour to install. My electrician was present and doing other work in the house. I realized the doorbell was ringing only outside after missing visitors who rang the bell and left. The last visitor before calling Safe Street made me aware the doorbell rings on the outside. After calling Safe Street I was told the panel could not chime when the doorbell rung and I needed an electrician to hardware a doorbell chime for the Safe Street doorbell to work. Why didn't the installer inform me instead of presenting the doorbell to me as if it was fully functioning. Sept. 10, 2022- The electrician returns to give a quote and to install the doorbell chime. He attempts to help me make ensure the panel does not have a chime capabilities before installing a doorbell chime. I put in my code it does not work. The panel makes noises. It does not arm. The panel does not disarm. It does not allow access to setting. The panel lights are on. We input different codes several times resorting even to random 4-digit numbers in the panel. Nothing happens, there are no sirens even from putting in the incorrect code. The panel would not engage nor did this set off an alarm by so many failed attempts. The electrician suggestions to call the company for solutions before I spend the money for a chime. The same day, I call the company. The rep said, "I need to be more "learned[t]" about the system." He shared I needed to take the time to look at the materials.... videos to learn how to use the system." I asked for a technician to come I was told, "No! It is not the panel, " he said. I told the company rep, "I did not want the system since the basic components do not work as they are supposed to; I could not use the system because of improper installation. The lack of honesty and transparency during installation. The fact I did not get a copy of the contract at the time electronic or paper copy." During this call, the rep didn't offer to help me out via phone or to send a technician. The rep told me he would send me videos to help. I share with the rep, "This is my 4th home with an ADT system. I have familiarity with ADT. The system is not working as it should." Frustrated with the nasty comments made "Well you can't cancel the contract you know useless you buy out the contract so use the videos." I asked for the location of the office to return the equipment. The rep shared they have locations all over the United States but he would not give me an address to drop off anything... you can't find the address through a search. Initially, he refused to give me an email address. He did agree to send a copy of the contract when I shared with him I did not get contract copy. He said...the contract was emailed, but I told him I had checked during the conversation. I did not get the contract. He sent it. He finally gave me the email address. "I tried to give it to you 10 minutes ago but you wouldn't stop talking." This was not true he refused to give it to me saying I didn't need it. He said after three days you can't do anything, but buy out. He offered they buy out at 75% of the contract. I shared it had not been even 30 days so I would not pay the buyout. I wanted a few days and then contacted my bank regarding the charges. I shared with the rep I can cancel the contract if the contract terms... purchase has not worked as purchased. I summarized the failings of the system and customer service attempts to solve issues. I have been asked to buy more, get this to keep SafeStreet ADT. Mark, the Safe Street manager called my emergency contract stating he could not get in contact with me. He was the same person in the call on Sept. 10 spoke to me. In the Sept 10 conversation, he refused to give me his name. But Mark's name of the person who sent me the contract in the email. They did not offer me to have a Techican come to my home for repair technician. 15. After the second bank account withdrawal. ADT, corporate called, and I discussed the issue. So I switched alarm companies to ADT because they are a nationwide company and thought they would be good. Well when they came to do the install the guy asked me about upgrading my Co2 device and I said yes and he said it was 200. Lottle did I know that he was putting 2 of them when I thought he was upgrading my one upstairs for free and adding the other for $200. Well when I looked at my credit card there was a charge for $453. It doesn't end there.....my doorbell camera didn't work so they sent a tech out to replace it. The Tech arrived (not wearing a mask) I am diabetic and high risk for covid so I immediately went and got mine. He he replaced the door bell camera and not the picture is pink and I told him that and he said it would go away......3 days later it is still pink!! So I called to get them to fix it and now I am waiting until next week for them to come out for the second time. Just make sure when you deal with these guys you question them....I was to trusting and now I am sorry I switched!!!! read more

We had a visit from a young lady, at first it seemeed she was with Centurylink, then with century link and AT &T. Then with Safe street which is a second party to ADT, turns out she was with a third party, yet unnamed, . third party was a second party to Safestreet, a third party to ADT . her purpose was to sell us an ADT alarm system, along with a lower AT&T bill and a one payment to AT&T which covered Centurylink.. Alot of words , that turned out to be false. I'm 80 years old, I fill like I was taken advantage of. My complaints have it seems fell on deaf ears. I was approached by door-to-door Safe Streets Sales Person. He was a very nice gentleman. We discussed that Safe Streets/ADT was offering a package deal for Direct TV customers, whereby you would get a reduced rate for your TV and Internet and ADT price of $65/month. Their quote provide me with a $50/month savings with the Alarm service included. I was required to pay the $99.00 installation fee up front. Everything was installed correctly, however they authorized Direct TV to switch my channel line-up to a basic package, and not what I currently had. I was never told my channel line-up would change. Now, my TV/Internet and Alarm are $12.00 more a month than before. I was explicit in explaining that I was on disability and could NOT afford any additional expenses. I was assured I would have the same service as before, and be saving $50/month. When I asked why Direct was agreeing to this, I was told it was because so many customers were canceling their TV service because it was becoming too expensive. I have been trying to reach someone at Safe Streets for three weeks now and cannot get any response either by phone or Text, or message. VERY FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED IN THEIR BATE-AND-SWITCH TACTICS. read more

In hindsight, I would have been before off to go with another company. Be sure you know what you are getting. The $99.00 installation gets you only 3 contacts then they try to sell you more as a "package" and no breakdown of what you are buying. Poor communication on the installers part. I have yet to received my $100 rebate Visa card. The regional manager refunded me on 5 contacts @ $99.00 each for my complaints. I was not informed by the installer that the additional contacts were charged individually. I was told it was a "package" and that I was not able to pick and choose. Then he tells me that I was given an outdoor camera which I do not have and then he starts to tell me that was traded for "this" and "that" as if I knew. They sold me a "break glass" feature that I really did not need or want, but it was a part of the "package". I would take the time and look into other security companies if you are not in a rush. read more

The worst customer service... Spent approximately 45 minutes on the phone with a rep from Safe Streets and a rep from ADT around 20 days ago. Was about to close on a home and needed to know what options were available for the existing contract on it. Both reps from both companies indicated there wasn't any reason to worry since we had two years to roll the contract into a new property. The timing would be perfect since we are buying a new property in two years. Just happened to get on the phone with ADT this morning to confirm everything was cancelled since the home has now closed and had a new rep tell a completely different story. Now, we have 60 days only to roll the contract over to a different property or pay almost $1,000 to cancel it. After 30 minutes on the phone, we got nowhere with the rep. We are over a barrel and have no choice but to cancel the current contract we have on our current property and have these idiots come out to install a new system to fulfill the new contract, which has also now gone from 2 years to 3 years. This is the most blindsided I have ever been working with an organization. They are unethical and are in business for their bottom line only. If you are reading this, go with someone else, even if the price is higher. Safe Streets USA will bend you over at some point and not honor anything anyone from the organization tells you. read more
