Very nice front desk. Some problems with the Internet but it didn't feel too long/tedious because she was personable and funny.

The access was good, didnt like the way the price went up 20.00... my main concern is i stored with no problem... when i ended my storage i see mouse dropping on my belonging. Seem mice running down hall.... and the worst part is they got into my belongings... sad to say i took them to my new storage..... thanks again safeguard.. read more

Went in and waited for 30 minutes for someone to let us into the office. No one showed up, so I had to take my stuff to the uhaul storage unit 10 minutes from there. I called them to ask for a refund for my unit (that was never used) and no one would pick up. I tried calling for 3 days, until finally someone did. I explained the situation and not only did she laugh, she showed so much attitude. Save your time and money by not coming to this place. Just go to a uhaul storage because they are actually clean, professional, and not as expensive. read more

Called on the phone. Asked for a price. Then asked what were the extra fees--these places always have some kind of sign-up surcharge. I need a storage unit for a couple months and there are several choices in the area. I chose this one partly because it advertised 99 cents for the first FULL MONTH rent. Also, it advertised a 4th floor 10x5 unit for $109. Instead the 99 cents was used for my initial pro-rated month (so that's another $25 that I lose) and I was told my monthly rate would be $126 after all the fees & taxes were included. Additionally, there are lots of other add-on charges, like the $22 admin fee, the $10 required keyfob and the $16 required cylinder lock (you cannot use your own lock). So even my 99 cent charge rose to $58. And I honestly have no idea what the actual cost will be for next month. The staff was very friendly and explained why I had to pay for all the extras but I hate companies that advertise some special discount or rate to get you in the door and then pile on all the 'hidden' charges. To me it's just another form of bate & switch. In the future, I will not rent from Safeguard again. read more

Been at this location since it open. Initially the first storage manager was a bit quirky, would close her office and leave, not open the building during minor inclement weather etc... she did not last. The next manager was great! Corresponded to their IT department about an online error, etc. He got promoted/new location. Now the location have two bozos managers that lack any customer relation skills, they don't were the SafeGuard uniforms, ware hoodies and tank tops on weekends?? Totally unprofessional, disabled my access code because I forgot to push the ladder to the end of the hall. My only mistake, paying my rental fee months ahead. When I ask about the manager for a vacate form, gave me some lame reason why I did not need one, despite the leasing contract stating a written ten day notice.(Another reason to fine you) If at all possible stay away from this storage facility, they constantly raise your fees, one of the two elevators is always broken, maybe both. The access hours are ridicules- for addition fees you can get better access, but you will have to pay for it. Most of the units are vacant for good reasons, only the local university students use this location to store their stuff during breaks. Oh did I mention that the place is crawling with rats and roaches? Look around, there are numerous local storage facilities around that area with better rates and service read more

I moved out of my apartment and reserved a storage unit with Safeguard. When I arrived at the storage facility with the movers, I was informed the unit I reserved online was NOT empty! They had no more units available to accommodate me. After one phone call to the manager Tony, he promptly gave me a larger unit for the same price I had reserved. I highly recommend this storage facility. It is clean, safe and well run! Thanks Tony for doing the right thing! read more

AVOID THIS LOCATION. I have a unit which I have barely visited over the course of 8 months. To my disbelief, when I went to check on this unit, I found mice droppings EVERYWHERE. The store front acted as this was normal and gave me poison and paperwork to fill out if anything was damaged. I reached out to the district manager, Tony Dollard, who made it seem like I was making the whole thing up and only wanted a discount on my unit! He did nothing to make the situation better. I am now in the process of finding a new unit at a different company because of not only the mice problem but the terrible follow up. read more

Came to pick some of my things and found a ton of mouse vs rat droppings, my wife's button down shirts which she didn't seal off in a thick bag were chewed thru. the blankets and comforts we had stored had pee stains with some areas of fresh blood. told the people down stairs and gave me poison to place there. obviously this a problem with this place. I would not store any items here again. Please message me if you would like pictures to prove the above. I would happy to pass them along. The downstairs people said the safeguard would not be responsible and that my insurance would have to pay for it. read more
