setup an appointment to have the windshield replaced and dropped the car off at the scheduled time. got a call late in the day saying they did not have the part and they wanted to keep my car over the weekend. i went to pick up my Ioniq 5 and the passenger side door had a big scrape on it. not only did the schedule work get completed but I also received my car back damaged. pretty sure they just wanted time to fix the damaged door. first off I set the appointment to replace factory glass. they changed the whole work order to aftermarket and added a bunch of items I did not request or need. I should have followed my instincts and left. go to a different location, this place does not provide quality service. read more

(Drive truck for a living) my appointment was set and confirmed for Saturday 11/22/25 from noon to 5:00 pm. I wasn't called until 12:15 to inform me that the technician had called out for the day! I got called fairly early because the windshield for OJ came in damaged which was out of their control but it threw my whole day off. The waiting room had video games but not the whole version of any of the games. At least it was enough to keep my younger one occupied. There are no refreshments available and they have plexiglass up to try and keep germs at bay. They were doing the best they could given COVID but my issues are more to do with pricing. I was quoted $250 for a windshield not too long ago on the phone but in person it was almost $400. I asked about my Tundra and was quoted $450 but I called my mechanic who can get their guy in for $375. I feel like it was a complete bait and switch. OJ is a '96 Bronco so it's not anything fancy like some of the options these days. Plus my mechanic asked about the insurance route instead of out of pocket replacement which Safelite didn't do. I'm just going to keep my business local from now on. At least I feel like he has a vested interest in being honest. read more

A huge rock hit my windshield and just cracked the lower portion of the passenger side. It definitely wasn't something I could ignore, so I booked an appointment with Safelite and was able to get in within a day of that happening. I felt that the service overall was good, service was about 3 hours and it was due to having to recalibrate everything since my car had sensors on it. The tech explained the process well and my windshield was finally fixed. It's been a day since I had it fixed and my windshield automatic wipers work fine and the windshield is still intact so I would say this was a successful mission! read more

Scheduled appointment based on recommendation from insurance company. Arrived for appointment to be told I didn't have one scheduled. It had been cancelled due to the windshield not being at the store and Safelite unable to locate one. No one bothered to inform me before I made the 30 mile drive. First call I made upon arriving home, I found a windshield at a local dealership and Safelite made arrangements for it to be delivered. Went to rescheduled appointment, windshield was replaced but on my way home it started raining. I flipped on the wipers only to discover there was no driver side wiper. The wipers were being comped due to first appointment fiasco but I had to turn around and drive another 20 miles back to actually get both of them. Lots of apologies and excuses for poor customer service. Now I have to worry about quality of installation and will it leak during first heavy rain or what else I'll discover over time. read more

I locked myself out of my car after going to Costco today and a costco employee suggested going over to safelite in the same shopping area. A guy named Chris came out immediately and walked across the shopping center with me and spent about 10 minutes getting me in to my car. I offered to pay him, he wouldn't accept any cash. My car insurance uses them for windshield replacement and they've always been great, but i so appreciate the kindness they obviously show to multiple Costco customers for lockouts. This franchise is terrible: 1)Made appt on monday for friday service at 2:00pm. Received a call at 8:30am the day of appt saying they need my Tesla all day to do the installation and calibration. Rescheduled for saturday and dropped the car off at 8:00am. The car hadn't moved all day, and the cameras showed no activity. Went back to the store at 1:50 pm and was told it takes 3-hrs to service. Note: the store closes at 5:00 pm. When I pointed out the time, they quickly moved it into the shop. I wonder when they would have started their 3-hr job if I had not gone back and questioned why the vehicle hadn't moved all day. I also asked why the service couldn't have been done at 2:00 the previous day since they are starting at 2:00 today. No response to my question... 2) When I dropped the car off on Saturday morning, I was told the wipper blades would be comp'd. The final bill still had the charge on it. In their defense, when I brought it up they removed it and took care of me. 3) The glass was replaced in an hour, and the calibration another 45-min. That is not 3-hrs, but again, in their defense they tell me the calibration could take up to 5-hrs if there is something that needs adjustment. Gotta trust them on this, but I question why Tesla would make it so difficult. Summary: If your insurance pays for mobile service - do it. However, they tell me because of the calibration and the car calling back to Tesla that the mobile service is unable to provide the service in Teslas. The mobile services do not have the technology (laptop, etc) to do the work. Safelite Auto Glass is a good company. If you have to take your vehicle into the shop, find a shop with more than 4-servuce bays. This shop does most of the work outside, and when it rains, the wind picks up like it did today, etc. their schedule gets all messed up when they have to move vehicles and operations inside the service bays. I saw them turn buisness away this afternoon and reschedule appointments because of the weather. I am rating them low because although they communicate via text/email the communications are incomplete and lack details. If the very first appointment confirmation or even the appointment scheduler had indicated that Tesla vehicles require an all day drop off I would have rescheduled the day I booked the appointment. Getting a call the day of is unacceptable and just BAD practice. This shop can apparently only service one Tesla a day, I heard them rescheduling 3-other Tesla appointments thru the following week. I wonder what would happen if multiple Tesla's are scheduled for all day drop offs on the same day - their scheduling is terrible. read more

Well they tried a couple times to put a windshield n my wife's car We scheduled them to come out to the house put it in two vehicles The only had one window when arrived as said we needed to take it into the shop in order for two techs to install it - first of all never said this to me when ordering it the first time - we rescheduled and took the car into the shop - they told us it would be a couple hours snd they would call us - so we decided to do some shopping - while shopping thru called me again snd told me that they couldn't put our windshield again as new one they ordered was supposedly scratch - but when asked to see it they could produce the window - when I got to the parking lot to pickup my vehicle - it was parked out into the parking lot which is right next to a pot shop and a lot of homeless people in the area - we went up to the car and it was wide open unlocked - a tech was working on a car next to us but didn't say one word to us - went into the store to complain and all they said was would you like to speak to my manager - nothing to the point of sorry or trying to make it right with the customer DO NOT HAVE YOUR WINDSHIELD INSTALLED HERE - I wouldn't recommend it read more

Something fell on the windshield of my brand-new car. When I received quotes from several companies Safelite was the only company that explained the windshield replacement required recalibration to make the safety features work with the new windshield. The car was new so I had no idea. The quotes from the other companies were cheaper so I am pretty sure they didn't understand this needed to be done or didn't have the capacity to do it. None of the other companies mentioned that the safety features would not work without the recalibration. The dealership verified that Safelite was correct this needed to be done. In addition, Safelite was able to come to my home to do the work very quickly and the technician was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I wish I had written down his name - I would call him out in this review if I could. I will always use Safelite in the future for this work - they know what they are doing. read more

Within a week of having my windshield replaced, a rock came flying out of nowhere and left a small crack near the top. I returned to this store and found out that the crack was so close to the edge they couldn't fix it with their tools without replacing the whole thing again. Of course, this was terrible news, but the repair guy took pity on me and spent a long time gluing/fixing it as best as he could to stop the crack from expanding further - and at absolutely no charge! Terrible from start to finish. Canceled mobile appointment on me day of the appointment stating I needed to come in to the shop so their specialist could recalibrate the safety systems. So, I waited another week and brought in my vehicle. When I picked it up they said they weren't able to recalibrate the systems, that they don't do that there. Guy at the front desk was just on the phone - never acknowledged me at all. Stood there for 10 minutes before someone else came up to get me my keys. Terrible communication and customer service. A month ago they repaired a chip. Got another chip in another part of the window. Scheduled a visit today and got multiple emails saying come to the office and others scheduled at our home. The office lady was confused. The gentleman called said finally he's coming to our place and said but if it's too warm I can't replace chips because over 16 years they crack in the warm weather. It was 80° today and not entirely warm. He came and worked on the wrong chip and messed with the old one and it cracked and he blamed the warm weather. Never even attempted to fix the new chip. call the office guy- just basically said sorry it cracked. Isn't our fault. I told him if the technician warned me it was too warm he shouldn't work on it. then why did he work on it in the first place. And why did he work on the old chip that was already aggravated from a month ago and not on the new chip. said sorry for the crack it's not our policy. not trustworthy and could they be searching for extra biz by ruining window. read more

Thanks to a crack from a vigilante rock in Texas and to the frigid October in Colorado my Honda Odyssey's windshield cracked in 4 places. Just my luck. My insurance company sent me to Safelite, and of course I made my appointment on a snowy Denver day. After fighting through a blizzard to get here, I was pleasantly pleased with the polite service I received. They expedited my job since I had 3 restless toddlers with me. Their waiting room amenities were great! Coloring books, blocks, and cable TV made my time there a breeze. There is a tea, hot chocolate, and coffee station as well as a mini fridge of cold drinks. I have a 2017 SUBARU equipped with eyesight. I'm actually sitting in the waiting room waiting for my car to be finished. When I got here I found out they didn't put the recalibration cost on my initial statement and wanted to tell me that there would be an additional $300 cost for recalibration. I said I and that I didn't feel like I could trust them and I would go to the dealership. Then the receptionist come over trying to talk me into it again after I said no. Guess they are hard of hearing at this location. Do not come here they will not be upfront about the actual cost of the repairs until you come in. I wish I didn't come here. read more

My only complaint is that they could not tell me whether their technician was vaccinated.
