Previous week I had windshield in one car replaced at the Oxmoor location. This week I need windshield replaced in my other car. Go Figure. Thought I would try the Galleria location as I had some clothes to return at Belk's as well. Making appointments was fast and efficient as I was familiar with the process having only done it the week prior. Got there early for appointment and they took my vehicle immediately. Staff was friendly, waiting room comfortable with chairs, table, and phone charging station. Actually a much nicer customer waiting area than the Oxmoor location. Only disappointing thing I encountered was the restroom. They really needed to be cleaned and floors mopped. I would recommend this location due to the more comfortable waiting area, but both locations were friendly and efficient. read more

Can't get in touch with them when you call. Drop off at 9 and not ready at 4:30 but close at 5 and look at you like you're crazy when you arrive at 4:30pm to pick it up. read more

These guys did a great job. Very good value for the price. 2012 Nissan Murano Platinum. $334.00 out the door Windshield replacement service came with new trim moldings for the side. Technician was very friendly and professional. He did a great job. For me it's worth the wait to take the vehicle to the Safelite location and let them do it in the shop. It's a better operating environment for the techs and you get better consistency and quality control. The last time I had the windshield replaced I paid the same price and I didn't get new moldings, I don't remember who did that, but it was a mobile service. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the $40 old glass recycle fee. But with the service including the side trim moldings, it more than made up for it. read more

When Safelite replaced my windshield they tore the cloth on the pillar when they were removing the cracked windshield. Instead of ordering the part they damaged, they told me to order and pay for it and they would replace it at no cost. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. I don't recommend Safelite. 0 out 10. read more

They put my front windshield in. In which they had my car for almost a month. They said they would get me a rental but never did. Since I got my car back, the sunroof doesn't work anymore. It's oil stains on the inside roof of the car. The top of the car where the window was put in is not sealed. Front seat does not seem safe. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

The guys did a good job on my Toyota Tacoma. I had the windshield replaced and they recalibrated the safety camera. It took about an hour and a half. Overall great experience. read more

Safelite has an office in Hoover yet won't come to Pelham to do a repair on my windshield. Asked if they could come to my wife's workplace right off Arkadelphia and 20/59. Again, they don't service that area either. Do they limit service to only over the mountain cities or what? Ridiculous that they won't come less than 10 miles to fix my windshield. Had to get my windshield not changed once but twice. Spent in total 6.5 hours here. I was told both times that it would be an hour and a half to two hours, not even close to that time frame. The first time it was the wrong windshield although when filling out information on my car online it says how it has to have a special windshield. Finally get the correct windshield in days later. Get in my car and it is scratched. I will never use this establishment again. read more

No where to wait with a dog if you're facing an emergency windshield repair. Also costly.

I brought in my car because I had a cracked windshield. Made an appointment online and going through my insurance company. Set up the appointment to coincide with my business. The website said it would take up to 2 to 4 hours. Dropped it off at 10am, expecting to get it back by around 2 or 3. Called and was told it wouldn't be ready until 5pm. After a lot of back and forth, I finally got my car. After getting home, I noticed residue all over the car and windshield that I couldn't get off. Of course, by this time, they are all gone. I had to schedule another appointment for them to take care of the residue. This has been an awful experience, I've visited another Safelite where the process was very easy, and they did a great job. This particular location was extremely slow. There was a huge line at Drop off, and I would not recommend this location. read more

Unfortunately, this review probably won't have any affect on this business, given that a majority of the business comes from direct relationships with insurance companies, so the consumer has no choice. Had a crack in my windshield, contacted State Farm through their app, State Farm did a great job. Got me connected to Safelite right away. I made an appointment. I showed up on time, etc... my appointment was at 9:30, the technician came out about 945. Walks back in the door tells me that I only have 30 miles available in my tank and it's their policy that they take behalf full because they have to drive the vehicle after installing the new windshield , apparently there was an email that was sent that was telling me what my responsibilities were before I showed up and I missed that little tidbit. I say OK I'll run across the street fill it up and I'll be right back. I was told that that delay on my part would mean they could not do my service today. I could see gas station from where we're standing. Wouldn't take me seven minutes to put enough gas in here to meet their guidelines. No consideration given not at all. That's the rules screw you make another appointment. The technician and the person behind the counter, were both like "we don't care". Basically it was like it or lump it. I'm stuck with Safelite, unfortunately, so I just rescheduled to make them come out to where I am instead of me taking it to the shop. Don't believe their ads where their technicians are so happy to have you do business with them and show up with a smile and are super service oriented. That is not true. read more

Experienced a rock while driving for the first time. I scheduled for technician to come to hotel since they were across the street; but they gave me a 4-hour window so I decided to schedule online to go in-person. The questions online were confusing so I had to call about the appointment. The guy who greeted me was very friendly but the technician was cold. I watched other customers being greeted by their technicians were different. I did not feel valued and not impressed with the work completed. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I've never written a negative review but felt compelled to based on my experience with this Safelite location. Lots of issues. Multiple trips that could have been explained on the first visit. Next is the calibration. They explained at the first pickup that they could not do the calibration due to putting in the wrong glass for my type of car which led to multiple safety lights coming on. Fast forward to the second visit a week later and assurance that everything would be fixed. They installed a second windshield, did not call to say it was ready, only to arrive and still have the safety lights on. When asked about why they were not fixed with new 2nd windshield, they said the safety lights were not were not there during the original calibration (with wrong windshield first time around). I explained that they created the safety lights with the wrong windshield the first go around and even tried to get me to sign something stating such. This eventually led to them telling me to take it to the dealership which ultimately did a fantastic job. So 3 trips for a simple windshield replacement. This location did not say they were sorry for the inconvenience that they created or any solution other than to take to the dealership. Completely different experience at the dealership where they started with they were sorry this happened and shouldn't have happened. Again, we live in a world where there is no accountability/manners or general willingness to do the right thing. It's very sad. And also zero follow up from the district manager which I called. Unfortunately not suprised based on my experience at his store. My hope is that this does not happen to anyone else (as I spoke with another customer on my first visit that was having a similar experience). I'm sure there are other glass replacement business that would respect you and be glad for your business. All very sad and disappointing experience. read more
