Nooooow that warranty guy Patrick had come out to REDO work over Danny from the 1828 Bingle location, I feel MUCH better than I had before. Danny's work was SLOPPY and REAL BAD!. but Patrick came out to my home and took care of things the RIGHT way! I have learned that whenever if ever I chose to deal with Safelite again, I will definitely chose to have the tech come to my house instead of me going to the shop I'm not sure if the shop was overwhelmed and I had learned that there was no manager at that particular shop, things had gotten somewhat out of hand. Customers were yelling at the techs in which the customer told us to check out windshield before we drove off- I failed to do so. Thanks to Patrick having come to my home after having made MANY phone calls- even to the general store manager and almost to the VP- it was about to go there! Now my car looks presentable again! Booked an appointment online to bring my vehicle in because my car cannot be serviced at my home so I was instructed to bring it in and I made an appointment for 6 AM to drop it off and Uber to work and I get here at 5:59 and it is currently 612 they are not open and no one's here and when I call customer service it tells me to call back at 8 AM. $1500 for windshield replacement and no one's here.. My appointment was confirmed the day before and still I get here and it's not even open. read more

Why was my credit card charged an amount different from the total on the final invoice? An extra $75 (15% extra) was added to CC. It was adjusted after 3 days but this should be criminal to hold extra funds. If there was a way to return the windshield, I would. Pulled in at 10:30 am and was back on the road by 10:55. Tim, the tech who took care of us could not have been more courteous and helpful. What a joke. I was quoted less than $200 to repair a small knick in my windshield where a rock hit it on the interstate. A guy from Safelite called me and explained that the knick would still be visible after the repair but that it would stop it from spreading. When he got to my car, he called again to confirm he would start the work. I wasn't present because I was inside with my toddler. He called FIVE minutes later and said that while trying to repair it, he made the crack spread. It was literally the smallest knick. There is no way he knew what he was doing. This in turn cost me a full $500 on my deductible to have the entire windshield fixed. I will never call this company again. No way. read more

Requested service for a minor chip repair in which the technician caused a crack to my windshield (not even a month old). He calls apologizing for the crack. I immediately put in a warranty repair to replace the windshield and the manager Sal instructs the new tech that my warranty is voided. Like hell! Your technician caused the crack by applying pressure to my windshield. No glue, no suction cup prints just both palm prints and forearm print are on my windshield which I have photos of and you say it's not covered! Absolutely not! I could have taken my car to the dealer and let them replace it with this shoddy warranty and workmanship. It's even worse if your tech admits and apologizes for cracking my windshield but conveniently leaves this out of his notes. Considering previous reviews this sounds deliberate and fraudulent. This needs to be addressed as I will be calling corporate! read more

I got there a little early and not only did they start my car early but they were done in a little over an hour. I probably got lucky because they didn't have a lot of appointments and it's Tuesday but still that was great. The waiting room is huge with tables and chairs and complimentary coffee and our technicians Taylor and Ethan were so fast and nice. Really appreciate the great job and excellent service. read more

I took my clients Mercedes in for a windshield replacement..was told they needed at least 3 hours to calibrate the sensors ..turns out it didn't need to be calibrate ..they never called to tell us ..said they called ,but they didn't AND they left Multiple grease handprints on both sides of the cream colored CLOTH interior around the windshield and a large footprint on the drivers side floor mat ! I DON'T recommend this location ! They should use paper floor mats and gloves to prevent these issues . read more

I have used Safelite for all of my vehicles in the past to the sum of probably 10 Windshields in the past 8 years. The relationship started out ok. Then Safelite began making some really obvious and major mistakes. On one install, the tech came out with a windshield that was defective. I was told another tech would come out with a new windshield and install it. I was not present for the installation. The tech brought the same windshielf and installed it. Additionally, he broke several pieces of plastic molding, got glue on the headliner and glued an A pillar molding to the windshield. This was a disaster. It took a few months, but Safelite replaced all of the damages parts. I have always had the tech leave the glass, since we have recycling. Additionally, a Safelite tech told me that Safelite doesn't actually recycle. I was told Safelite charges the 40 dollar fee and just tosses the glass in the trash bin. When I asked the tech, that was supposed to come out, to leave the glass and remove the recycle fee, he stated that it's Safelite's policy not to leave the glass for safety reasons. We're all adults here. I think I've handled much more dangerous broken glass in my lifetime and I'm not Safelite's child and I don't require a big brother. It's really just a ploy to force the 40 dollar recycle fee. Safelite doesn't provide a properly detailed invoice and will not allow you to opt out of the recycle fee of 40 dollars. The recycling fee is shoved down your throat. I had to struggle with Alicia Solomon to get my invoice corrected and refund processed. When she wouldn't respond to any of my emails as usual, I had to send corporate an email in order to get a resolution. Here's how your bill breaks down. Attached images are provided. Glass - 361.74 Recycling - 39.99 Sales Tax - 19.95 (19.95/.0825 = 241.81Cost of glass and materials) 241.81 + 39.99 (Recycle) + 19.95 (Tax) = 301.75 Where is the other 59.99 coming from? I'm guessing on site visit. The on site visit, which was originally free in the beginning of the quote, is now in the quote at 10 dollars more. See the pic. "We'll come to you for free!" These are my assumptions at this point. Now you can get a coupon for 45 dollars from CNN. CODE: CNN45, but the equation doesn't change. Safelite forces the issue of the recycle fee and then works the cost of the visit back into the cost of the job. It's smoke and mirrors. I decided to go back to my prior provider, Affordable Glass, and just wait for 2 hours on a first come first serve basis for 181 installed and out the door. I would've had to wait on a 5 hour window with Safelite and pay 75 more. read more

Rediculous! I received a quote of $331.88 to replace my windshield. Before beginning the work, the sweet tech HAPPEN to mention the total price would be $819.30! I went back to check out my original estimate thinking I might be going a bit crazy... nope, I was right, it was $331.88.... in small letters at the bottom of the page it states, "cost may vary due to recalibration".... Um, ya THINK this disclaimer should state the fact your price may MORE THAN DOUBLE?????? Check your total charges before agreeing to the work. Embarrassingly bad experience at this location/ with this company. Took in my BMW into this shop for a passenger side window replacement. Left with a ridiculous amount of glass still in the door, the leather on my door scratched, and a disconnected airbag. I went back a couple weeks later to get them to get the glass out of the door and they broke the new window- I was told I would get a call about my leather... never did. Finally, they sent out a technician who didn't have the right size glass so now I have an inch gap in my passenger side window, scratched leather, and a disconnected airbag. Tech set the windshield glass too high resulting in the window glass bottom visible and cowling not sitting correctly. By the time they noticed, glue was set so have to wait a week to try again. Tech did not proactively share issue or solution and was disgruntled when I noticed. Tech lost 2 screws for cowling. Ridiculous. read more

Recent experience: These guys do work right. Give them the time they need and be patient. Confirm that they have the right parts and let them do their jobs. Don't rush them and the work will be fantastic. I had the pleasure of working with Tony (manager) and he showed me what proper customer service is all about. My Porsche was fixed to "as new" condition after a crack in the windshield. I examined the work carefully, no issues, no problems. Thank you guys for the top notch job. Safelight is AMAZING. They are SO NICE and when to original person tried to fill a chip it continued to expand, making the chip into a really large crack. So we needed to move it to Safelight (per my insurance Amica) easily made us a reservation and we brought it in and it was maybe 1.5 hours when it was completed. And it was BEAUTIFUL. They had it perfectly wiped down. Little notices on the window roll down handles to not roll down for 2 days. Very professional job and they are so super nice and welcoming. Very happy with their work and everyone there! We had no deductible. It pays to have windshield coverage for $10 per year. read more

Man...i wish I had read these reviews about the Safelite shop on Bingle Road!!!! First I made appointment online and authorized payment right then and there. The system said that there was a problem in scheduling. Called and found out that my card was pre authorized for the amount but for some reason the order was deleted....hmmmmmm ok. Was rescheduled to go this shop on Bingle Road 4 days prior ok. Got emails for confirmation...received text messages asking for confirmation. The very day before the service received a phone call for confirmation. The day of service my daughter arrived prior to the appointment time and sat for 1 hour and 30 minutes after appointment time to then being told....oh ma'am we have the wrong glass for your vehicle.... we can schedule for 7 DAYS later and the cost of the right glass is MORE!!!! LOL.....nope not having it!!! I called SAFELITE to cancel anymore work to be done to my vehicle!! Waiting for the pre authorized hold to be released from my credit card!!! read more

Could not repair / broke my car. They disassembled my rear hatch to replace the rear glass. At that point the techs realized they had the wrong replacement and would have to order the glass. I asked them to simply return my car to me. Once I arrived home, I realized they had not reconnected the rear hatch wiring harness correctly. Absolutely terrible! I took my wife's car here to have her windshield replaced and the installer put the new windshield in improperly to where they couldn't calibrate with the sensor. At first we were told they'd be able to redo it in a week, but after over a week, I had to constantly call just to find out the windshield is on a national back order. It has been close to three months now, and we've been driving with all the dash lights flashing. We can't use cruise control and none of the safety features are operating. We had to sign a waiver saying they are not liable for any incidents caused due to not having functioning safety features. We finally got a call from the for the first time, updating us that there is still nothing available and they have no idea when it'll be. It's completely frustrating having to drive that car and have all the dash lights flashing, and on top of that, not being able to use cruise control when we need to take long drives. Went for a rock chip repair, technician admitted to breaking the windshield in the process of the repair and they refuse to cover damages. Do not use this location....they will damage your vehicle and past the cost on to you. The worst experience ever! If you value your time and sanity, stay away! I took my vehicle to these people 3 times, and each time they had the wrong part! How much effort does it take to open a box and check that the correct part is there for your customer's repair?! Their solution suggested to me was to buy the part myself! I am telling all my friends and family to steer well clear of Safelite. After one month of trying, the vehicle remains unfixed. I am going elsewhere right this very minute. I've wasted enough valuable time and gas. And to put the icing on the cake, the crash wrap plastic film they placed over the window opening peeled off soon after I drove off...in the rain. Went to Houston location to have a leaking windshield fixed. They told me they would have to remove it an reinstalled it, which they did. A few months later I brought it to a repair shop. They found the safe lite did not install the mount under the hood were not installed correctly causing a new leak. Now my truck does not leak. I know where I will never go for car glass work. My cover of the sensor on my windshield will never stay in place since they worked on my windshield. read more
