I had scheduled an appointment for a cracked window repair from 12:00 - 5:00 on 5/13. At 4:00 p.m., I called and was told that the tech would be there shortly. The tech didn't show up. At 5:00 p.m., I called and was told that they were closed. I then scheduled the appointment for today, 5/14 and was told that the crack had run so it could not be repaired. Although I showed the tech a picture from yesterday with no run. Safelite said there was nothing they could do and offered me a pair of windshield wipers. Worst customer service ever. They continued to make excuses for guy that didn't show up yesterday. Tiana needs to take a course on what good customer service is. read more

I don't know where to start with these guys . The regulator went out of my window and my window shattered . I took it in because I did not know my regulator was out , they replaced the window and showed me my bad regulator . It took a couple times to get the correct regulator for this Chevy Cruze don't know why there are more than one. They messaged me back and forth till I got the correct one. Brought 2 vehicles in for new windshield. F150 and Mazda 6. The F150 was done OK but they left a mess on my dashboard and the new windshield was dirty. The Mazda though, the A pillar covers were destroyed with adhesive, needed to be replaced (took them a month) and adhesive squished out all over new windshield. Dashboard and glass were VERY dirty. Poorly managed place. Go elsewhere. I think a smaller company might have more experience and pride in their work. read more

If you value customer service, do not go here. I scheduled with them through my insurance and an appointment was set. The day of the appointment, there was no communication and the time frame started to pass. Finally I receive a call from a lady who advises me that the technician has went home early on a Friday and I will not be receiving my service that I had scheduled days prior. I had taken off work and stayed home to be at the appointment. I had a trip scheduled for the next day and needed my busted out window replaced before my trip with kids. I told the lady this and she laughed and stated the trip was not her business and if I wanted to schedule with them it would be another week at least. I started to cry a little bit and she began snickering and laughing at me. I asked her if I could come in early in the morning or if there was any solution to this issue and one again she laughed and said no. I then realized she was playing games and thought this whole thing was hilarious and just wanted to get me off the phone so she too could leave early on the Friday. I indicated that I needed an earlier appointment and that is when she said "great, that works for me and she told me to go to another company and she hung up". This company thinks they are above any expectation of customer service. I called my insurance company and they transferred me over to safelite again. I explained the issue to the scheduler and next thing you know, I got hung up on again. I called my insurance back and canceled with safelite. I choose another company and got scheduled within days. This ruined my trip but they simply find that funny with no costumer service or kindness. Do yourself a favor and go to another company. The experience was night and day difference. read more

Absolutely professional and friendly experience. Had to get the windshield replaced due to a small crack that evolved across the entire windshield. Arrived a bit early for the appointment and was checked in and quoted roughly about an hour for the procedure. Sat at the waiting area with a bit of their Keurig coffee and before I knew it, they were done! Great experience and a new windshield. read more

I chipped my car window on a rock from the free-way. I wasn't sure who or where to get it fixed. I called my insurance company, who suggested Safelite. I set up my window appointment online. There is an option for them to fix the window at the place of work. This is the option I selected. The rest is smooth as silk. Unless I'm traveling, or sent for site audits, I work from home, so I selected the "mobile on site" option. This morning, at 7:30, the window tech called. He arrived at 8:20. He explained what he was going to do, and I felt he was very professional. He did the work in my garage. Safelight sent me a detailed email, previously in the week, with his picture, name and credentials. It was a small chip, and by 8:50, he was done. He gave me a can of Safelight glass cleaner. Since I'm traveling for my work in a couple of days, my mind is now at ease. The window has a tiny scratch where the work was done, but no longer is chipped. I appreciate that I didn't have to take out any work time to get this done. It's nice to know services like this exist. read more

I filed a windshield repair claim with Progressive on a Thursday and had an appointment here for the next Friday afternoon on my new car with 3k miles. Wasn't stoked, but c'est la vie. I showed up, the office had paperwork ready to sign, the tech was ready at my appointment time, and I was in and out in 30 minutes. Can't ask for much more from a situation like this. read more

I've had several windshields replaced with no issues until now. I scheduled for the installer to come to my work in KC MO between 12 and 5 pm. The installer showed up at 3. Said it would be about 2 hours. At 4:58 I received a text that my appointment has been updated to NEXT Friday. This was on Wednesday. I went down to the parking garage and the installer tells me that when he was mounting the new windshield it cracked in the drivers side lower corner. He said that they would make it right. He left tape on the windshield and car and debris on the steering wheel column and floor. I called the office and was told that next week was the best they could do. I'm disappointed that what was supposed to be completed on Wednesday is going to take over a week to correct. Not a happy customer with the best they can do. read more

Told me to go get a lawyer . Don't ever use this company just because it says safe doesn't mean they are and if they damage your vehicle beware how their insurance is read more

About a year and a half ago I was living in Kansas City. About a week before moving to Albuquerque, it was -20 degrees out. I was out driving for a while, then pulled my car into the garage. About a half hour later, I heard a loud bang and went out to find my windshield had shattered due to the temperature difference. My insurance sent me to Safelite. When I took my car in, it was freezing rain and whoever worked on it wasn't happy about that. I wouldn't notice until after I moved, but the rearview mirror was slightly loose and the exterior trim piece on the left side of the windshield was bent out of place. I didn't know at the time that Safelite was national. Short of driving back to KC, I didn't think there was anything I could do, so I decided to live with it. A couple months ago, the mirror started getting worse. It got to the point it vibrated so much, I couldn't even see anything in it. It was so loose, it was practically falling off. I took my car to the dealership and they sent me to Horizon Auto Glass to have them look at it. Horizon took the mirror off (which wasn't hard since it was barely hanging on) and inspected it. The told me that whoever installed my windshield broke the bracket then glued it back on to cover it up. He asked where I had it done. I told him Safelite in KC and he informed me that they're national and would be responsible for repairing it. He also told me they'd most likely have to replace the mirror and that it would be an expensive repair. When I got home, I searched how much it would cost and the mirror was a little over $1,000. I called Safelite fully expecting them to deny responsibility. They told me "no problem, any damage will be covered under warranty." I wasn't convinced. They didn't know how much they were in for to fix their mistake. They sent someone out to look at it and he said they'd probably have to replace the mirror, but wanted me to take my car into their shop so his boss could look at it. I did and he confirmed it would have to be replaced. He said he'd order it. Again, I was just waiting for them to see how much it cost and try to weasel out of it or do some half-assed repair. A few days went by and they called to say they got the mirror and I'd just have to come drop my car off. I did and they replaced the mirror no hassle at all. They also looked at the molding that was bent and got it almost back in place, though it's still slightly off. But overall, I'm very happy with the service I received in Albuquerque, so I'm leaving this as a positive review there and leaving the same review in KC with a much more negative rating. read more

I used the Safelite website to schedule a windshield replacement. I was able to schedule the NEXT day. I soon received an email from my technician with a PICTURE and his phone number, letting me know he would be in touch. The next morning, I got a call saying he would be there within 30 mins, and he was! When he came to the door, he was friendly, cheerful (even in very cold weather), and most importantly VERY competent. The work was completed quickly, and he washed my windows and vacuumed. I never expected that! I will use Safelite in the classes I teach as an example of OUTSTANDING Customer Service. Thank You!! read more

I've used Safelite for windshield replacements in the past without issue, but this last trip will be there last time. First I scheduled a mobile repair for a small chip in my windshield. They gave me a window of 12-5pm so I rearranged my schedule to make sure my car was available. They called at 4:58 pm to let me know they couldn't make it that day. Basically wasted my entire afternoon waiting for them to show up. I decided to take the car to them instead. I showed up and the girl at the desk confirmed my appt and handed me a letter and told me to sign here. The technician took my car and made the "repair". He came back and informed me that the chip spidered but it was barely noticeable. I took three car and left. What started as a small led than a dime size chip turned into a huge spot 3-4" in diameter with 4 cracks in every direction. . It's so bad you it's blinding when driving into the sun. I called and they basically said too bad and i would need to post for a full replacement. I won't be using safe lite again if this it's how they treat customers. read more

I like the automation of the planning and the communications provided before their arrival. My only disappointment was the debris left on the head's up display projector on the dashboard and pieces of foam with adhesive backing which I picked out of the AC vents on the dash. A quick vacuum or a dash cover would have prevented this and now I'm concerned there may be debris in the AC vents which I couldn't get to. read more

Absolutey will not ever use this company again. Manager made a decision to not warranty a windshield based on a cell phone picture. Easy way out of warranty is to say " It looks like a rock chip to me because I zoomed in on the picture and I have a lot of experience". I hired safelite because they were polite and making the appointment was a breeze. At first there was a chip in my husbands front windshield. They reminded me that sometimes when they try to fix chips, the entire windshield cracks. I didn't think it would happen to me because it was smaller than the size of a quarter in total, but it cracked the entire windshield. When they came and replaced it at his work, my husband called me at the end of the day very upset at the quality of the work. He said he had to pop some pins in near the wipers and the top of the car, there was excess glue and a large hump where it should be sealed. That was on 5/31. I gave it a few days to see if it would flatten out, but ended up calling on Friday 6/3 to tell them about it. They were busy and the last assured me they would give me a call, 11 days later and I'm still waiting. Today, the seal has come off more, and continues to get worse every day. Not impressed with them like I was in the beginning. read more
