1.Safelite could not or would not remove the broken glass stuck inside the hatchback door. Glass still rattles around in there. 2. So i order online but picked wrong choice for my windshield It was raining the day they scheduled but dude came to check and said i ordered wrong windshield and the correct one was much cheaper so kudos Week later they come to my work and install windshield but when i go to inspect there's a huge scratch right in front of the drivers side??? I received email saying work was completed and all exterior windows were washed and vehicle vacuumed But the windows were dirty and not only was the vehicle not vacuumed but the debris from changing out the windshield was still on my dashboard!!! So i call and complain and they reschedule me for the windshield to be replaced at no cost for Friday just a few days later from Tuesday when they installed scratched windshield So Friday dude comes early does awesome work and vacuums cleans windows and put in unscratched windshield Installer tells me im lucky the window was scratched cause otherwise when it rained my car would have got trashed cause the last installation was done poorly and the weather stripping was horrible So it's hit or miss with this company i am just sharing my experience read more

What a joke of a company , my insurance USAA recommended these clowns for a repair on my 2013 F150 I drove in and the tech tells me it's not repairable because it's to the edge . I'm a ASE Certified Master Technician I know the glass is salvageable . I told him have you looked at it he says I don't have to I know my job, this was before looking at the windshield hahahhahaha yeah find another one because you suck at this one. Setting up appt was easy. When I arrived, I felt like I wasn't welcome, maybe because it was a Sat and the receptionist didn't want to be there either. I had to make a 2nd appt because the crack had spread from a repair to requiring my windshield to be replaced. I scheduled a tech to come to my work for the replacement. Kyle was great! He was on time, professional, courteous and I have had no problems with the tech that is mounted on the windshield. I would recommend anyone considering safelite to have them come to you. The shop made me feel like an inconvenience and not a source of revenue and the reason the receptionist has a job. (Not just me but customers in general.) read more

Had to wait a week to get window fixed, it was worth the wait. Very efficient in time and getting the job done wright.

My husband and I are here to visit some family as well as to just simply spend some time together away from reality. We stopped at say light to rewrap our broken window that we plan to get replaced when we get back home. Al and other employee were so helpful and quickly helped us out with the job. my insurance sent someone out from safelite, the guy arrived and i could see he was in a bad mood. he parked in front at an angle blocking the street. i told him he could not park there and offered to move the vehicle to an area where he would have plenty of room without blocking the street. he replied if he could not park there he would leave. which he did! complete jerk. People read the review..as I can verify some of the reviews are correct about the way they handle their appointment/schedule and communication with their customers are rated on the lower end. I had made appointment ready to drop off my car and they call me the 30mins prior to my appointment to tell me they can't have my vehicle serviced today because they now don't have the part. So your telling me that you just figured out that you guys don't have the part and waited this long to call me. Doesn't make sens at all. Meanwhile I'm driving my way there to drop off the car......I agree, the workers there really don't care about what's going on with the customer and are their just to collect a check. probably just sitting around twiddling their fingers. Just a reminder that if it weren't for the customers you wouldn't have a pay check!! Im very upset I waisted my time and gas is not cheap. They should of called me at least an hour in advance to notify me. Nope because they figured 30mins would of been enough time. I haven't had nothing done to my car yet and already terrible service. Worst company ever! Said they would return after taking out windshield and did not return. Called company and they said they'd return 4 days later. Seriously, I could have waited if I had not been told they would return! I have never dealt with such poor customer service. You won't be billing my insurance company for a job NOT done. They replaced a passenger side window on my 2012 Cadillac and they did a good job, however my cars window was smashed in and shards of glass fell between the door panel. They said that they vacuumed out the paneling, but that they couldn't get everything and that I would still have glass in there. Now everytime I shut that door it rattles and is ANNOYING. They didn't even offer to take the car back in to try another way to get the rest of the glass out. All they could say was "Well, the rest will fall out in time". Load of BS. read more

you put in the wrong glass, you left glass all over my car, carport, and in my vents. you destroyed my dash. Update: Over 2 months later, and still trying to get the windshield *correctly* installed. There's still glass all over the inside of my car, embedded in the seats and carpet. There's glass under the windshield, so no wonder there's not a good seal! Brad (technician?) is a buffoon! My friend sat in the seat and got glass in his butt. Lost something under the seat, and felling around got 4 cuts on his hand. Open the door in the sun and you can see glass shards embedded in the seats! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If less than a one star was possible that's what I would give. My rear window on my SUV was shattered. I contacted Safelite and 5 weeks later finally had my window replaced. The commercials lead you to believe it's fast, affordable & friendly. My experience was just the opposite. The "home" office is in Ohio and they're quick to place blame on the local franchises. There's a clear disconnect between the "home" office and what goes on in the field. I was given a starting quote of $585 and by the time of installation paid close to $1,300. This was after countless calls from the "home" office telling me they had misquoted. I was promised quick installation three different times and finally, got to the point of thinking I'll believe it when I see it. I wouldn't refer this company to anyone especially if you don't want to deal with a run around. read more

I started my cracked windshield journey annoyed, I knew it had to be replaced after being hit with road debris at a stop light and didn't want to deal with it. I have insurance so it was just the time and effort I'd need to make. I put it off for a month and then was even more annoyed to find out I had to take it in because of my car's calibration with it. Who wants to sit in a waiting room for two hours?!?! When I got to Safelite though they were so nice! I thought for sure I'd have to get a new Sunpass but they transferred it to the new glass (not sure that it will work, but the effort is appreciated). They even vacuumed the front seats and wiped down my dash, which I'm slightly embarrassed over because both needed it. I know this seems basic, but sometimes it really is those minor details that you aren't expecting that turn the experience around for you. The process of having my window repair couldn't have been easier. A link from my insurer directly to the Safelite site, the appointment schedules, and the actual repair serive were all handled smoothly and professionally. The service technician was friendly, explained what he was going to do and we left confident, in our other vehicle, for our dinner engagement. He left a phone message that the job was complete, left the paperwork on the dash, and locked my truck back down. When I returned home I inspected the work and it looked like a factory install at the manufacturer. I couldn't be more pleased and would use Safelite again if needed. read more

I have received the worst customer service ever! I scheduled an appointment to have my windshield replaced at the 1415 Kinglsey located in Orange Park, FL on 2/16/21. After waiting all day for the tech to arrive, I decided to call the office to confirm arrival as t was getting late. I was told that the tech did not have my appointment on his calendar and there was a computer glitch. I was reschedule to go to the actual location the next day at 9am. I arrive, the vehicle is taken to the back immediately. I sit in the lobby for 40 mins before being told that the location cannot find the glass for my vehicle and they don't know what happened to it. Are you kidding me??? It took almost an hour to realize this?? So again, I am inconvenienced!!! Totally unacceptable! I was told that a new glass would have to be located and shipped from a different city and state and they had no clue how long it would take. I'm done! I am contacting Geico immediately to let them know the service I received was terrible and cancelling any further dealings with this company! read more

Had my windshield replaced it went fine but after a week I've realised a few things. First there is some weird film on the inside and outside of the window there is a gap in my cowl now I'm pretty sure my windshield wiper arms are on backwards and last night rain was leaking through my door I will see tomorrow what they plan to do till then this is my review. read more

Booked an appointment for Friday, between 12:00 and 5:00. At 1:30, I received a call from them stating that they had overbooked their day, and that they would not be able to replace my windshield that day. Weather was not an issue, nor was some unseen event. They stated that they simply overbooked. When asked to reschedule, they could not guarantee that this would not happen again. I promptly relieved them of the burden of fixing my car, and called another company. Will never deal with them again. read more

It's a nice place they have. You can bring your car over and wait in the office, they have free coffee over there. It's fairly priced. At least with my car 2013 Corolla. It was just around 300 to replace the windshield, brand new windshield included. And what you really want is the warranty. Ask for Wayne. The guy is cool. read more

They replace glass but they do much more. They have outstanding, friendly, customer oriented technicians. It is excellent to see a company put customer service as a top priority. At first I thought I had one ping and a crack and my first tech saw another stress fracture so the windshield needed to be replaced. The next day I had another technician who replaced my windshield. AWFUL! Installed horrible defective glass in my car. From certain angles the driver cannot even see out the window! There is absolutely no way the installers could not have noticed this. I saw it as soon as I drove off their property. Can easily become a safety issue! Have to go in to have this glass replaced so here we go again! One reviewer had to return FOUR times to even get satisfactory glass installed in his car. How can they do this to customers who go in trusting them to do the right thing? Unethical! read more

These guys are awful, unprofessional and rude! They dont know what they are doing! They replaced my wind shield 2 times and it keeps making a whistle and they have the audacity to tell me its not from the wind shield!!! Customer service/Executive team over the phone is polite and says they will change it...at the shop they dont do anything and they stuff extra sealant everywhere and its inside the car and on the paint!
