Our insurance USAA always recommends Safelite for our glass repair. I had the passenger door window replaced as well as the front windshield in the last 6 weeks. The side window was done at our house. The dash window had to be done at their shop as it had to be recalibrated. We have a Subaru which can be tricky to recalibrate. But they did an excellent work on it. Unfortunately coming back yesterday from Nebraska, our dash window was hit by a rock in Oklahoma. I have already put in a claim to spot fix it at our house this week. I highly recommend Safelite Autoglass. read more

I rarely time the time to leave positive reviews unless the service was exceptional and this was definitely my experience with Safelite. Aaron was the tech with Safelite that came out to do my windshield replacement. Service was on time and conveniently done at my home while I worked. I was notified well in advance of my time slot and notified again when he was on his way with an eta of when he would be arriving. He had everything installed and even moved my registration sticker from my previous windshield to my new one. I appreciated his professionalism and how quickly and conveniently the service was completed with zero hassle for me. read more

Had my back window fixed by Safelite on Monday Feb 9th, I paid over $500 to get my rear window replaced. I thought the technician had done a good job until I got in my car Tuesday to drive it and found that the brake light was not working, apparently it's not connected, I scheduled warranty service for Tuesday on the website, it was canceled on the website by Safelite. Apparently they have no one to come and do the warranty service. Now it's scheduled for next Monday because that's the only opportunity they had. To further complicate the situation there's electronic wire laying in my back seat that should be connected Don't know what that goes to but the heating element in the glass is not heating so might have something to do with that or the brake light don't know. I have talked to (customer no service) they cannot do anything for me or give me someone to fix what they forgot to fix they've not got me in touch with any managers or anybody from the company. Now I have asked for 50% of my money back because they want me to come to them to fix their problem which will take at least an hour and I have to drive an hour so that's 2 hours of my time that I get to waste because their technician didn't do the job correctly. I don't know what to tell you except don't call them I had five other glass companies call me back to do this job All of them local I should have gone with one of them instead of this company who doesn't give a damn about their customers. read more

Had my F150 windshield replaced, when I got it back the gasket at the base where the trim meets glass was half on, half off. Then checked the trim pieces below the wipers and it was not even clipped in properly! For $330 I expected it to be thorough, till tag was not stuck on, seat and mirrors all jacked up! Also heard if you say you don't have insurance it's was less! read more

I had an appointment today to have a windshield replaced between 12 and 5pm. The technician never called me. At 4pm I called Dispatch, Dispatch called the technician, the technician promised to arrive by 4:45pm. No technician, no callback from Dispatch to reschedule. Additionally Safelite wouldn't schedule online and when I talked to the agent she refused to honor the website coupon price. She tried to sale me many upcharges also. They gave me a 12:00-5:00 Appointment. then said they were running late and it might be 5:30, then at 5:54, it might be another hour but not to worry even if it was after dark they would get it done. Then a txt saying a latest ETA of8:05. it is now 9:17, no more communication and no way to contact them, all numbers go to voice mail or disconnect. Not impressed so far. Had an appt today from noon - 5pm so waited all afternoon. No one called, no one showed up, and didn't receive any communication about it (email, text, etc). Went back online to get phone number to find out what happened and what next steps are, there's no email listed and the phone is 100% automated, no option to talk to someone to resolve a problem. I'm writing to share my extreme frustration and disappointment with the service experience I've had over the past several days. My original appointment was scheduled for Thursday, June 27, between 12 PM and 5 PM. The technician arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. However, he informed me that the incorrect vehicle information was entered, and he did not have the correct size glass. He rescheduled the appointment for Monday, July 1, and I made it clear that the new appointment would need to be at my office since I had already left work early once for the original visit. Today is Monday, and as of 1:17 PM, no technician has arrived, no one has called, and I have received zero updates. I've now been on hold with customer service for over an hour--only to be hung up on, transferred, and told the local location would be contacted. A representative attempted to call the location four times while I was on the line, but no one answered. I personally tried calling as well and was either hung up on or transferred with no resolution on three separate occasions. To make matters worse, I skipped lunch to make sure I was available for the technician. I've now rearranged my schedule twice, missed work, and spent hours on hold--all without receiving the service I scheduled or any clear communication. This level of service is unacceptable. It's unprofessional, inconsiderate, and completely dismissive of your customers' time. I will not be recommending Safelite to anyone based on this experience and expect immediate follow-up and a resolution. read more

I will never use Safelite again. I had a windshield scheduled for Sept 4. When I made the appointment I had to provide my vehicle VIN # along with year and make so they could order the correct windshield. The technician never showed up today and he texted saying that parts were missing. Here is his text. "The new glass is missing a bracket. I'm going back to the shop for a new glass and then I'll be back. Sorry for the inconvenience". He said "I am going back to the shop to get the part" and he has never called us or won't even answer the call from his office. I called and was on hold for and on phone 40 minutes and still have no resolution. I would use a chop shop before I would put up with Safelite again. The technician never even came to my house as he was supposed to do. I personally believe that he didn't want to install the windshield in the heat. At 9:30 on the 11th, I get a call from the technician, "I don't have the window". I called the Lewisville service desk, and they didn't apologize, even so much as hinting anything was wrong, just like it happened all the time. lol. I had 2 chips in my windshield. One a little smaller than a quarter and the other really small - smaller than a pencil eraser and barely noticeable. When the larger one happened I decided to get them both fixed. I was asked to sign a waiver because the chips could expand out. My bad for assuming this would happen on on the large chip that already had cracks extending out not the tiny one with zero cracks. Well joke is on me!!! The larger one is mostly fixed - still visible but I have had that experience many times before - the smaller one is now a 3-4 in CRACK in the middle of my windshield!! It is so bad - not sure how they think this is not going to have to be replaced now. The technician even acknowledged it is now way worse than before and there is nothing he can do about it. I came here for a windshield replacement when my vehicle got a rock launched at it on only the third day I had it! Arranging the appointment was easy to do online, and the company coordinated with my insurance to arrange the claim and calculate the deductible. You also get links to select your appointment date and time, and you can also upload pics of the damage so the techs are better prepared for the repairs. This location is conveniently located close to the intersection of two major highways in Lewisville. The facility has been recently remodeled, and there are plenty of snacks and refreshments available while you wait in the huge seating area. I received text updates during the repair process, and the vehicle was done on time as promised. Safelite provides solid guarantees on both the repair/replacement of the glass as well as on the calibration of any vehicle cameras to manufacturers' standards. Safelite is not the company they use to be. I have had more than one windshield replaced by this company, and more than my share of windshield chips repaired as well. I had a windshield replaced on Thursday in my driveway here in Denton County. They gave me a four-hour window, the technician was on time, was personable and did a good job. Wasn't cheap since I had to have the recalibration on the safety equipment as well.... And that should be the end of this review....except it isn't....so here is the rest of the issues/problems I have had with this service....1) My wipers were supposed to be replaced...unfortunately they didn't have the right wipers on the truck...think about it, they have to get the exact windshield for my car, but they didn't get the right wipers....and I am sure Volvo doesn't make it easy, with how they integrate the wiper and fluid tube into the blade, but you would think the windshield would be the harder one to get right...now the technician took the wipers off the invoice and I figured ok, I will take care of that later.....2) the next morning I get up and head off to get some coffee...unfortunately I get the multitude of warnings that my safety features for city driving and adaptive cruise control were all jacked up...you know the dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree (ok, orange and yellow lights only)...so not a happy camper, but not the end of the world...I know I have a warranty on the calibration, so I schedule another four-hour block on Saturday morning, which was confirmed by multiple emails and texts for someone to come out and redo the calibration, which was like 400 to 500 bucks, so you would think they would get it right....you see where this going right? No show! At 1201 I finally reach a human being (apparently their whole business model is to drive everybody to chat or online reservations...He tries to schedule me for next week, which is no bueno for me.... I had tried to call the local shop in Lewisville earlier, except they have their phones set to voicemail that drives you to their app or website...maddening....the Safelite warranty guy had the same problem, but he was able to schedule me for an appt in 45 minutes at that shop using their computer system (see the pattern here? that shop isn't picking up for anyone!) so at least it wasn't just me...4) I show up early for my appointment to an empty waiting room, which was a good thing...and it took me a bit of time to explain to the person at the desk what I was there for and by any chance did they have a set of rare, vintage wipers for a 2018 Volvo T6 Inscription as well as a technician to recalibrate my safety equipment....no bueno on the wipers, but a big yes on the technician....and yes, I know that I need to be driving a truck in Texas, but I just moved here, and when I lived in Virginia, Volvos were not a rarity...working on getting a more acceptable means of conveyance for Texas...the technician was excellent, and got me out of there in about 40 minutes max....right now everything works, hopefully for a long time...5) So of course one more stupid thing, and this is my fault...I brought a jacket along, and of course since the AC wasn't on in the waiting room, and it was over 80 degrees, I took my jacket and left it on another chair when the technician got me and walked me out to me car....Thats on me...however when I got home and two hours later the temp dropped and I am sitting outside enjoying a refreshing drink on my patio and I couldn't find my coat...Of course I tried to call the shop and wouldn't you know it went straight to the message to use their on line scheduling app....this time I contacted the national rep and asked them to contact the shop....which they did, and two hours later I received a call that they indeed had my jacket...and with 35 minutes to closing, and probably not a good thing to drive given that I was enjoying Saturday afternoon, I asked them to put my name on it and I will pick it up at the end of the week, since my work schedule precludes me from getting it during the week...Bottom line on a way too long review, is that if any one of these things happened, I wouldn't be that upset....but when the amount of time spent trying to fix things resulted in an extra half of day waiting, then a no show by the technician, and an unplanned trip to the shop anyway, with a cost that was around 1100 dollars, I wish I would have explored the multitude of alternatives available in the area...The Denton, Texas area has several companies that will replace your glass, and my guess is that that they do it for less expensively, and I would hope they can do it without making a customer jump over the hurdles that I had to.... read more

I had a cracked windshield and wanted it taken care of before it would get worse. I did some research online and Safelite was one of the few sites that had their prices immediately available. I didn't have to wait for quotes to make my decision. Not only did they have the price available right away they were also the cheapest. One cool thing is they could come out to you for an extra fee. (I think it was $50) Which isn't a bad deal if you're a busy person. I made an appointment for onsite service. I was told it could take 1.5-2 hours to sit and wait. I had the time to wait, but it only took 30 minutes. Must've been a slow day, but I'm not complaining. Instructions were given on how to care for the windshield after servicing. Staff was friendly and confirmed appointment prior. I had a promo code and it was applied as a refund amount after service. Everything went great with this experience. read more

Absolute worst decision ever. I booked with weeks ahead of time. I received numerous communications that my appointment was confirmed and getting close. They gave me a window from 8am -5pm. I called all day and was assured various times that they would be here, at about 4:00pm again I spoke with TECH Camerin and again was assured he was coming at 7:20pm after various calls I was told that he would not be coming because management overbooked and he was not allowed to work when it was dark. A company of this "magnitude" or any should at least have professionals that are dependable and able to fulfill their confirmed schedules. Now my out of state clients trip is ruined that I was hosting this week to show homes. Unacceptable consumer service and follow through. Never again will I use this company. I dropped my car off for a windshield replacement Saturday morning at 9am. I was told it would probably take most of the day. I tried to call at 2:30pm to see if they could give me an estimate of when my car would be ready. I was trying to arrange a ride back. The woman who answered the phone said the Lewisville location closed at 6pm and that's when my car would be ready. I asked to speak directly with someone at Lewisville for a more exact estimate and she said "I already gave you an exact estimate" and hung up on me. I tried several more times to reach someone at Lewisville and was unable to get through. I was called at 4:45 and told my car was ready. I didn't have a ride and asked if I could pick it up in the morning and I was told that would be fine. At 6:03 I got another call telling me I had left without paying. I informed them that I hadn't picked up my car and I would be coming in the morning. The woman I was speaking to told me there were closed on Sunday and they were also closed for the day. If I had known they were closed Sunday I would have taken an Uber to get my car. I'm also upset with the rudeness of the lady on the phone and the absolute incompetence of the office staff. How do you not know who paid or which cars are still there? I will never use Safelite again and I will let my friends and family know not to either. read more

These people broke the overhead console on my elderly father's Porsche and tried to SUPERGLUE it back (?!?!). When my dad obviously pointed out that that's not ok, they said they'd order the part to fix it. He's called and physically visited multiple times at his own expense. Still no part after a month, they even acted like they didn't know if it had been ordered after a month! My dad ended up taking it to the dealership to be fixed. Safelite said they would pay for it. The car is STILL SITTING THERE AT THE DEALERSHIP UNPAID FOR. Safelite has completely ghosted him on the $6,000 bill. DO NOT GO HERE, COMPLETELY UNTRUSTWORTHY. read more

Zero stars! Will never go back to this location ever again. Thought getting hit with a random object on the freeway was stressful enough but little did I know that the stress was just beginning. It started off easy enough with inputting all necessary information on safelite's website and we felt assured when we got a confirmed appointment for two days later. That is where the nonsensical adventure begins. My husband arrived at the scheduled time (after the appointment was confirmed the day before) to be told that they had an after market windshield that likely wouldn't work and even if it did, would require insurance authorization because it was after market and more expensive. It also did not have the correct connections for the sensors and they tried to say even if they fixed the glass, we would have to take it to the dealer to be calibrated (isn't that your job safelite?) How could this happen when every single detail was entered about the car and features in advance? Well it got worse. They said "ok, we will just order the glass that is on the car". Ok, gee thanks, glad you are going to do what you should have done to begin with! The catch, it will take 10 days to arrive! So now a repair that we hoped to get complete in a few days was now going to take almost 2 weeks. It is not like we had a choice so we again took their assurances and resigned to get a rental car for a week to the tune of $600. Our appointment is once again confirmed but again my husband arrived on the day only to be told more ridiculous news. The glass, that apparently JUST came in that day, was cracked and they couldn't install. He would have to leave again and wait for them to figure out their lives and call back. By this point, I am beyond livid at their total and complete disorganization. I called and asked to speak to the manager (which I was denied because they, Daniel and Michael were "busy") and instead got the assistant manager in training(as he claimed), Quincy. I explained the situation along with the fact that I could not fathom how they could get this wrong not once but twice (we were later told that the "cracked" glass was also indeed, the wrong glass). Quincy also did not help and took down my number claiming someone would would call me back that day (never happened). I also insisted that some sort of compensation be considered for all of their missteps (also never happened). My husband again called only to be told that they had contacted Volvo and would have the glass that day (ok, so now they are able to get it same day?!). He returned to safelite for the 3rd time to take the car to hopefully finally get fixed. Due to all the changes and mishaps, he had no choice but to leave the car in order to be there for our kids. Visit 4 he was able to finally pick up the car after they assured him the work was complete and all calibrations had been done. Wrong again! I come home to see that my normally concealed wipers were now very visible. That didn't seem right...well of course I turn on the wipers and they are wiping all the way off the side of the car! I guess all that calibration work didn't include making sure things worked. We returned for a 5th time to have them correct yet another error in their long list of errors. They immediately took it back and "fixed" the problem. Luckily I had learned how "thorough" they are so I check again, nope, still hitting the side of car (does anyone at safelite check their work?!). To go through all of this and have absolutely no one care about service recovery, offer any compensation, or frankly just care in the slightest was beyond disgusting. I would rather drive with a broken glass to literally ANY location no matter the distance than to ever go back to this location. Customer service is terrible, work is poor, organization is non existent. Change your motto to "safelite don't care, safelite's a waste". read more

The prices they charge are outrageous, even for a repair. Safelite charges $400 to install an off-brand windshield into my car but they only buy it for maybe 10 bucks. Wipers are overpriced ($60) & flimsy. Just like their glass. The managers Mike & Antonio were completely unprofessional. Local auto glass shops are the way to go, avoid Safelite! read more

I'd give no stars if I could. My truck has a lane warning safety system which has a sensor that's adhered to the windshield. Safelite wanted to charge $275 to "calibrate" it on top of their already overpriced glass replacement. It would have cost $750 if I'd of had it done. The dealer charges $75 for the same service. Calibration is only required if your driving and it doesn't read the lines on the road properly/ beeps when it shouldn't. Safelite refused to replace my glass unless I agreed to the calibration. Beware, it's a scam. I called around and got the glass replaced the next day for $350 and they chuckled when I told them about the calibration requirement. Safelight was packed when I went there and I witnessed 2 unhappy customers in the waiting room. read more

They pulled the same scam on me, made it worse, by 12" cracks on both sides. Now I need a new windshield.
