I got a chip in my windshield while driving on the highway. Since the chip was smaller than the size of a quarter, Safelite was able to repair it instead of replacing the whole windshield. I made my appointment online, which was pretty easy. I filled out the form and was also able to file the insurance claim through the process, which made everything more convenient. When I arrived, I waited in the lobby while the repair was being done. They had coffee, water, and Wi-Fi available, which was nice. I arrived around 9:45 AM and the repair was finished by 10:34 AM, so the whole visit was fairly quick. The technician who helped me was Edwin. He did a great job and explained everything clearly. He also let me know that there weren't any restrictions afterward, such as getting my car washed with a pressure washer. Overall, it was a smooth and easy experience. I chose your company because of its strong reputation and expected a high level of customer service and workmanship. Unfortunately, my experience did not reflect those standards. After noticing what I believed to be an issue with my windshield replacement, I returned to the store to have it inspected. Rather than taking the time to examine the windshield or investigate my concern, Christopher Gomez immediately told me that the issue was "normal" without even checking it. Dismissing a customer's concern without a proper inspection is unacceptable and left me feeling that my safety and satisfaction were not important. A company with your reputation should be represented by managers who take customer concerns seriously, provide professional service, and are willing to inspect their work before making conclusions. Come to find out when we called they said a home visit won't work with your car bc it need to be In the shop to be calibrated. The person on the phone said with our car they should have never scheduled a home visit bc it wouldn't work. So we got an appointment for 9:30 at the shop and when we got to this store the manager told us we don't have an appointment here. When we clearly have an appointment confirmed. May 22nd we confirmed the appointment which you can see in the screenshot . They said it was cancelled by safelite themselves. Day 2 of waiting my time. This place is terrible. Do not come here go to CALIBER COLLISION! They are great and helped us same day. We was glad to give them our service, they made 2,500$ off our business. That's what good business gets you. I caught a foul ball on my windshield at the Little League game. My insurance company claim web site was linked to Safelite which made it easy from the insurance standpoint. From that link I was able to make an appointment for the next day at my home. I was notified tech would be there between noon and 4 pm. He arrived at 5:10, so I had an entire afternoon wasted while I waited. Windshield installed quickly, but tech gave up on calibration at 7:45 pm. He said the technology takes longer than the scheduler allots for them even if they can accomplish it (which he couldn't). So, I had to drive to their location and have the calibration done, which took about an hour. I would say that the service was good from the personal side, but poor from the management / logistics side. read more

Went in for a windshield replacement & calibration. I made the appointment online. My appointment was at 8am and I was out of there a little before 11am. I did go have breakfast a few blocks from there went back to safelite and sat there for a bit until they finished with my car. They have a TV, restroom, chairs, complimentary coffee & water. Everyone was really nice very respectful. Once my car was done David Ford called me and came to meet me in their waiting area. Really nice guy very professional. He explained to me what I need to know about my replacement. Thank you David and everyone involved in the service I received today. I had the misfortune of needing my windshield replaced and the only place I could think of was Safelight. We've all seen the commercials of how easy and convenient they are, and that definitely was the case for me. My windshield broke on Sunday and I was able to start my claim and book an appointment with them on Tuesday. I brought my laptop with me so that I could do some work and they had these small table trays you can use and even free WiFi! They had a great coffee and tea station with water as well! All the comforts of the office while you wait to get your windshield replaced. I come back in 2-1/2 hours and he says it's going to be done end of day and they will call me. They close at 5 so I call them at 4:15 and you can't get through the automated system. They aren't open on Sunday so my truck is going to be stuck there all weekend. They call me at 4:35 and I race across town to get there before 5. Coughing guy says I have to talk to their technician. They can't find the technician. They open the door to the work area and there's loud rap music talking about getting they d#ck sucked. Coughing guy asks me if I talked to a technician. I reminded him that I have no idea who that is and that he went to find him. The glass looks good so that's 2 stars. I'd give them a negative number for customer service. Disorganized and Terrible billing practices. The OEM glass replacement was approved by my insurance. For whatever reason, this information was not documented by safelite. When I noticed this on the estimated charge, I contacted safelite and my insurance to resolve this and before the service was completed, I was issued a new receipt showing only my deductible. Despite the approval and the changes invoice, my card was charged the deductible of $500 plus the up charge for the OEM glass, totaling $674.18. I have reached out to customer service at least 7-8 times since the glass was installed on Friday and I've been told the local shop needs to fix this. The customer service team reached out via phone, email, teams message and district manner but no one from the shop contacted me or Adjusted the bill. How can I get a refund if they refuse to acknowledge my complaint? This is just bad customer service on the shops part. After numerous calls to the corporate line, I was finally able to reach someone in the billing department and the rep, Colleen was terrible. She not only had an awful attitude and talked over me, but she kept citing and relying on incorrect information rather than listening to me. Here are the facts: Despite the online portal saying that I was only supposed to be charged the deductible, I was charged more as is evidenced by the receipt I issued and the posted charge on my credit card. This has taken too long to resolve and I have wasted hours of my time that I will not get back on the phone with safelite's customer service team. I would like my money refunded asap, please as you all have no rightful claim to this overcharge. read more

I paid Safetlite $180.00 on May 1, 2025 to repair my Audi S8's windshield. It had a small chip in it and the technician was able to fill it where it wasn't visible anymore and it didn't expand. He was professional, on time, and almost like the commercials. Zero complaints with the technician and the repair process. The problems arise when the repair doesn't work and you want to make a warranty claim. When you try to call and tell them that the repair didn't work, in my case it didn't expand but the chip became very obviously visible again, they tell you to file it through their website. When you go to their website it tells you to call them. When you choose the warranty option it tells you they can't process your request and they hang up on you. Essentially, you have to call their regular sales line to speak to someone. Once they pick up and you tell them you are calling for a warranty claim the first thing they tell you is they don't have warranty's they have guarantee's and the only thing they guarantee is the crack won't be worse, buttttt, if it does get worse you can get credit towards a new windshield. I told them my crack didn't get worse, the repair you did failed as you filled in the chip and the now that same chip is rearing its face again. The lady quickly pivoted to we don't do repairs twice so you'll have to buy a new windshield. Any word that came out of my mouth was met with a, sir there is no warranty you need to buy a new windshield. I understand every windshield isn't repairable and things happen but it is very apparent now that their whole repair process is setup to make you purchase a new windshield at a far higher price than what a local mom and pop would charge you. Thank you corporate America for ruining another good company. Just skip these people and take it to your local glass shop and get it replaced or filled properly. read more

I requested a mobile service for 2 cars and chose between two time frames they optioned. I confirmed their text the day prior for scheduled time frame. Day of received a call saying that service will be pushed back towards the later part of the time frame but service will be completed. 15mins before time planned for during the call, I received a text saying that now the eta is pushed 1hr past the scheduled time frame. What?!?! Why have an appointment system if you can't maintain it??? Not enough technicians to meet demand??? Made an appointment at the Pasadena Safelite location to repair a small chip on my front windshield. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a friendly man who asked if I had an appointment. Once confirmed, we walked out to my vehicle where I showed him the damage. He said they can repair but that there was a 1-in-1000 possibility that the repair attempt could lead to further damage to the windshield. Additionally, he noted that the repair won't make the chip "disappear," but rather fill and seal the area to prevent further damage. After agreeing to everything, including the $150 repair estimate, I handed over my keys and sat in the waiting room while the work was done. The waiting room is small, with a few chairs, a water and coffee station, some cell phone charging cables and a small TV. During this Saturday morning, there ended up being about a dozen people picking up, dropping off or waiting for their vehicles. About 30 minutes later (right within the estimated time provided), my car was ready to go. Everything looked fine and it was repaired as expected. Since the repair, we have had a few days of rain, and no further damage has occurred. They also mentioned that some insurance carriers (i.e. Safeco) will repay the amount you paid without any liability or claim adjustments. Wham Bam, fixed in no time I had a growing crack on my windshield and needed it fixed as soon as possible. Safelite made the whole process super easy. I was able to have them file a claim and schedule an appointment for the very next day online. They contacted my insurance, confirmed the deductible I would need to pay, and got everything set up within the same day. The appointment itself was smooth and efficient. I dropped off my car and about an hour and a half later, it was ready. They advised no car washes for 24 hours, and I'd also recommend leaving your windows cracked a bit when possible since the adhesive or chemical smell can linger for a couple of days The new windshield was crystal clear and they recalibrated everything. It was a great experience and way easier than I had anticipated. The price will vary from place to place, but it was definitely a better value than going through a dealership. Everything went super smoothly to schedule and get the work done to replace the windshield and recalibrate the cameras on a 2022 Subaru Forester. Both drop off and pick up were fast and payment was easy; Safelite dealt directly with the insurance (Auto Club - AAA) after I scheduled online. There was a faint rustling noise coming from the windshield at high speeds at first but that went away after a couple of days. The driving assist cameras stopped working around 90 days after the repair and the problem went away after a few days. That highlighted for me that the Safelite warranty on camera calibration is only 30 days. It would be awesome if Safelite increased that warranty period. I believe the warranty for the windshield itself is better than the dealer; they should have a calibration warranty to match. read more

But in this case I would like to hold companies accountable in their pricing and want to give fair advice to new customers. Most IMPORTANT, this rating is Not bc of insufficient customer service nor the quality or competency of service. In fact customer service is very good. I can not speak for car service since I did not choose their business, I would assume their service is professional and excellent; but you can read other reviews of customers. They are receiving a 4-star rating specifically for the cost of their quote which was significantly higher. A rock cracked my windshield, Safelite was referred to me by a bodyshop. They were the first quote so I did not have a reference for what the job cost. I thanked them and told them I was going to compare with other quotes. I received 5 additional quotes which were all around 25% lower than Safelite. To be fair I asked "apples to apples" quote including; parts, labor, and *Recalibration (check to see if your yr model car needs recalibration). Quotes without calibration came in about 60% lower than Safelite whos quote did include calibration. I found a reputable Yelp company that did an excellent job for 65% lower in less than an hr. which included recalibration. I am not discouraging or dissuading you to go to Safelite. If you do, I am confident you will get excellent service that you are satisfied with. I am just recommending checking other "apples to apples" quotes if you'd like a competitive price. read more

Just the facts: Friday, July 18 - car window was smashed. I made an appointment to get my car fixed the following Monday Monday, July 21 - Luis comes to fix my car. Turns out they need to order an extra part (a regulator) to get my window fixed. Luis tells me he'll order the part today. Manager Chris confirms later on the phone he ordered the part Monday July 28 - I called Joseph for an update on the regulator and he said that it had arrived that morning, and that he could get a technician out the next day Tuesday July 29 - Technician calls to confirm an ETA and I ask to confirm that he has the regulator. He says that he does not have it. I called Joseph to clarify what's going on and Joseph said that he never told me he had the regulator but that he remembers talking to me the day before. He says he thought I was asking if they had the window glass. I reminded him that a week prior Louis had come with the glass, so I knew that they had glass, so there would be no reason for me to call asking if they had glass. He tells me he will order the regulator and that it will arrive in seven business days. Friday August 1 - I call manager Q and Joseph to get an update on the part and they tell me that I need to be patient because these things take time. Wednesday Aug 6 - Q tells me that he has the part and that someone will be able to fix it on Saturday. Friday August 8 - I call to confirm my appointment for Saturday and make sure that they have the parts. Joseph confirms the appointment and that he has the parts. Saturday August 9 - I call at 9:30 AM to get an ETA for when my technician can come fix my car. Manager Q says no technician is available to come to me and that I have to come to them to get the part fixed. If you notice, I've had to call every single time to get an update on anything. In many of these instances, if I had not called, I would never have heard back from them at all. I've known people to have great experiences at Safelite, I just think this team is having a really hard time helping people and communicating with clients. read more

THANK YOU PASADENA SAFELITE AUTO GLASS!!! Just like Christine H., I needed to get my windshield replaced. I checked my insurance (USAA) because I had auto glass coverage and saw that Safelite was a trusted partner for windshield repairs and replacements. I looked up Safelite locations and Pasadena was the closet for me. I started the process on Safelite's website on Thursday night, 10/03/24, got a call Friday morning, 10/04/24 from a USAA/Safelite rep to schedule my appointment which was for 10am Saturday morning, 10/05/24. Very easy and quick process. Saturday morning came, I pulled up and the parking lot was a little full (luckily there was an open spot for me to park in). I arrived about 10-15 minutes early before my appointment. I walked in and was greeted by the front desk worker (didn't catch his name) and he checked me in/got my keys. He also told me that they were a little behind schedule so it was going to be 2...2 1/2...maybe even 3 hours of a wait. I told him, no worries, because I brought everything with me that I needed to occupy myself while waiting. I brought my iPad, my Nintendo switch, all chargers, water, and other miscellaneous things (but forgot to bring my snacks/candy which I was bummed about). Anyways, totally understand schedule delays. Life happens, we don't live in a perfect world. So pro tip to all, if you're going to wait in the waiting room (or any waiting room in general) bring things to occupy yourself or go somewhere to occupy yourself while your car/window is being serviced. This location is literally next to a lot of other businesses (which is a plus) such as a Spa right across the street (maybe go get yourself one) or walk to the many food places nearby. If you wait in the waiting room, it has chairs, charging stations or outlets to charge your stuff, TV, water/coffee/tea station, small tray tables, and a unisex bathroom. During my wait, whenever the front desk person would pass by (because he would go in and out to help the crew in the bays too), he would apologize for the wait and thank me for being patient and give me updates. Again, no worries and totally understand. I also got text/email notifications of updates as well, which was much appreciated. My car got done at 12:30pm (which was the time quote he gave me - 2 1/2 hours). Side note, the whole time I was watching Young Sheldon on Netflix and I went through 8 episodes! Anyways, I'm so happy that my baby is fixed and looking beautiful again! Overall, If I ever need windshield service again, you best believe I'll be back (with snacks/candy next time lol)! & I definitely recommend to all family, friends and other fellow yelpers to come here if you need windshield service too. Update 8/3/2024: Received an email around 7-7:30 am. Someone from Safelite assigned us a new technician between 8am-12pm. Thank you to whoever did this!! On top of that, Pete, our new tech for today, called 20 min. before arriving. He came on time, called us when he arrived. He finished within 1-1.5 hours. Meticulous work, efficiency, and dedication. He was committed to the job despite having multiple bookings and having to report/be switched around 3 different locations. I am so grateful that he came in today to help us out. Pete is amazing! My experience has improved up to 4 stars thanks to the staff who provided us with another slot to Pete who worked with ease and even cleaned up afterwards. The 1 star off is just to bring awareness to the company for missed visits and for them to really care for their employees. Would return again. Previous review: Very disappointed. This is not the same company and team we worked with years ago. I made an appointment at least 1 day before, online, requested they come to us. Confirmation email received. Left work early. Waited our whole time slot from 1-5pm. No call or email update. It is already evening. Very unprofessional. 1 star earned at least for Pre-pandemic service, when we had the windshield replaced. Quality of glass is cheap! Didn't even last me 2 months. When I bought the glass I called before hand and asked about the warranty and they specified all repairs after the fact were covered. When I placed a work order to replace the chip or crack that was on the glass, they deemed it as a road incident and the warranty is voided! Even though I called before placing the work order and they said it would be covered! Save yourself money and go somewhere else! The warranty is a loophole to get you to pay more! I made an appointment at 9:30am to fix the windshield of my car. Insurance agent told me I will need to wait around 3hours so i planned to walk to a college library to work. Things did not go as I imagined. It was delayed and I eventually got my car at 7pm. I would be so mad if it is not done today because I need to use my car. However, they worked hard to make it done anyway. Staff at front desk was very gentle, and the technician Carlos was very friendly and informative. I had a couple of questions and he explained all to me when he had to go back home. Price seems reasonable, and in terms of service, their attitudes were very professional. service is great. They did what is supposed to be done. This is my 1st service for my 5 year old Tesla Model 3. I initially hesitant to acquire their service unfortunately my insurance carrier can only accommodate it, rather than with direct Tesla. Let say how it goes with the quality. I will add any comment at a later time. But i am impress with the result. Now need to add tint on it as the sun here in SoCal is unbearable. read more
