I took a gamble on this location despite the Yelp reviews and it paid off! This was my first windshield repair using an insurance claim and I was unfamiliar with the process or if my claim would be covered (USAA). My windshield was suffering from pitting, but nothing large like you'd normally imagine. Quidoles Mcdonald took a look at my windshield, confirmed it was a valid concern, and said the claim would be covered. On the day of the appointment, I was told it would take about 2 hrs but they finished in about an hour and half. Chris helped me and was reassuring that that Safelite would take care of the insurance claim and that it would be covered. As I was told, the insurance process was pretty smooth and I really didn't have to do anything except pay my deductible to Safelite. Unfortunately, the windshield that was installed looked distorted/wavy in the lower passenger side, like there was an issue with the lament. I brought it to Safelite's attention, and Quidoles, upon confirming, promptly scheduled a replacement install without any hassle or gripe. I thought I was going to have to fight or argue on my behalf, but no, Quidoles promptly acknowledge it and tried to fix the problem, stellar service on his behalf. Strangely, the second windshield had the same issue and Quidoles again said they'd replace it without issue. At this point I decided to bite the bullet and pay out of pocket for OEM because my insurance said they would not pay for OEM. I had the OEM installed, paid, and left the shop. However, after paying, Quidoles continued to fight on my behalf, worked his magic, and was able get the cost reduced significantly closer to what my deductible was. It was amazing that Quidoles continued to work on my claim despite the fact that I already completed the transaction, because in my mind, what would be the point of him continuing to work on the claim if the transaction/sale was already complete. Above and beyond can only describe Quidoles' level of customer care. Overall, the service provided was stellar and it appears the older lower scored Yelp reviews no longer apply. More so, Quidoles went beyond what I would expect in customer service, diligently address my issues, and sought an outcome that was best for me. I highly recommend this location, particularly if Quidoles is there. read more

Windshield was installed Friday brought the car to them 5 days later on Wednesday and told them about the defect. They examined it, agreed the windshield was defective and scheduled a replacement two weeks later. Day of appointment I get there and the owner/manager Chris refuses to replace the windshield saying I damaged it between Friday and Wednesday and that it would cost him money to correct it. He continued to insist there was no way it could have been installed with the imperfections even though he examined it for 20 minutes before we realized you needed a flashlight to see it during the day. read more

On the day of the appointment, a Safelite tech arrived and replaced the windshield within a hour. I asked a bunch of questions and the tech was super helpful and answered all my concerns. I have some chips in my other car windshield so I'm considering going with them and seeing if their repair/patch capabilities are as good as the replacement service. I came to Safelite Pasadena for a windshield replacement on my 2015 Tesla model S. My initial appointment was in April and when I arrived I dropped off my car and went home. Later on, I received a call that they didn't have my part and I would need to reschedule when the part arrives. I was told it'll take 6-8weeks. I didn't hear back until 3 months later and when I brought my car in (again) I was told my part is still missing. Apparently the factory windshield was damaged during delivery but I was never given that update so I brought my car again for nothing. I waited another 3 months before calling back for an update and finally my part had arrived! However, the day before my appointment I received a call from Safelite and was informed that they no longer service my vehicle make and model. They closed my claim and basically told me to visit another shop. Basically spent 6 months with a cracked windshield and got no service from Safelite. The folks here were helpful but ultimately their system and infra are awful. Why did it take 6 months for me to find out they can't service my vehicle?? I called Tesla and they got everything done and replaced within 4 days. Id avoid Safelite in general if you're a Tesla owner. read more

But, end up the job and the experience was so good. Especially, I'd like to thanks for two workers, the black guy(I know his name, but don't know how to spell it.) who was taking care of my working order, he was also very patient with my request, and Ricardo who care about what he is doing for his job with passion. Went here to get a tiny chip (less than one inch) in my leased Nissan's windshield fixed at the recommendation of AAA. I now have a FOUR INCH crack in my windshield. When I asked what I should tell Nissan when I returned the lease, and threatened that I would make the dealer charge Safelite for the crack since it's their fault, the guy said "just return it dirty and they won't notice." Seriously!? Additionally I got a confirmation that my appointment was "cancelled" after I left. No, my appointment was NOT cancelled, my appointment HAPPENED and MADE MY WINDSHIELD WORSE. I can only imagine a cancelled appointment in their records reflects less poorly on this business than a "we had to let the driver go without paying because we messed up so badly," which makes me wonder how many other people this has happened to but there's no record, because there's no record of the appointment ever happening. They also ask you to fill out a survey as to why you cancelled your appointment and as you can imagine, "because you broke my windshield" is not an option. I am furious. Went through my insurance due to a minor repair that was scheduled today. The tech Ronin M.* contacted me in which he arrived at 10:45am which was within the time frame provided when scheduling. (I presume he's from this location as I live in alhmabra) upon arriving he already had a off puttish demeanor and talking to him he had a slight attitude. He also was young, and to me looked inexperienced. So I show him the minor knick that is dime sized at the lower portion of my windshield and automatically he advised that is not cosmetic but he will add the resin ect that may assist most but it will still be visible. I'm okay with this, but then he begins to advise that since this is considered a weak loxation in our windshiled it may shatter the windshield in which safelite is not liable for this. I was NEVER advised of this. Not only did I wait from 8am to 1045am for this guy with a crap attitude to show up, but this is hours on my day off that I have wasted. I asked him how long have you done this? He said a year and a half- I'm like can I get someone more experienced here, he didnt like that- he said no, it doesn't matter. This happens and often, he said you don't need to have my services. So I call my wife and we decide on no. Because WTF. The knick is dime sized and this crap company is shady as hell!!! The Palm Springs location did a very sloppy job and did not even told me about warranty on the work. water was escaping inside my car based on their sloppy job. The eye for details and the perfectionist that Mr. MacDonald is, spotted the problem and scheduled and appoint for my windshield to be installed the right way, giving the vehicle the original factory look that it came with. A big truck kicked up a small stone and hit me right in the Audi on the way to work, resulting in a spiderweb windshield crack. I called my insurance company (Farmers) and found that I have "glass coverage" -- full windshield replacement with $100 out-of-pocket deductible. Because the crack was in my line of sight, I decided to go for it. Farm-ers has essentially farm-ed out their glass coverage to Safelite, so when you call in your glass claim, you are automatically transferred to Safelite. That worked out fine for me. They do the work at your home! I set the whole thing up on line; all they need is the make and model of your vehicle. The tech arrived exactly on time, so professional with a branded truck and full uniform, and completed the replacement in about 90 minutes -- all in my driveway. As agreed, I was charged a flat $100. Minus one star for some uncomfortable upselling about replacing my windshield wiper blades "while I'm here." When I replied that my windshield wipers were working fine, I was lectured that all blades needed to be replaced every six months, whether they are working fine or not. I went in for a windshield replacement, with an appointment. When I made the appointment they scheduled it a week out because they needed to pick up the windshield from a different warehouse at another LA location. Why does it take a full week for them to pick up a windshield from a warehouse that's also in LA? They knew my car make and model, but the morning of my appointment, I show up just for them to tell me that they don't actually have the right windshield, and I would need to reschedule for another week later. That's 2 weeks with a large crack right on the driver's side. During the actual replacement, the technician was careless and dripped some of the black sealant onto the driver's side door. When I noticed I brought my car back in immediately, and I spent over an hour waiting for the technician to try to fix it. He was able to get the black part off, but it's quite obvious the paint is messed up and the outline of the drip is still there. A detailer inspected it and told me that the technician stripped the paint and it was starting to chip, and in order to fix it, he would have to repaint the whole door. He quoted me at $500. I asked another paint specialist who gave me an even hire quote. When I spoke to the Safelite manager about the whole problem, he said all he could do was offer me a free car wash, which I would have to get reimbursed for. I have NO interest in returning and wasting more of my time just to get reimbursed for a mere $28 when it's going to take $500 to fix their carelessness. read more

Absolutely impossible to get anyone on the phone here, all you can do is try and navigate the completely maddening automated phone system. All I needed to do was verify they had the window I needed in stock for my insurance company and I would have gone here. I would have been happy to use their service but their phone system made it impossible so I went elsewhere. A simple thirty second chat with an operator could have fixed this problem but it's impossible with their automated system - request to speak with a representative and the system hangs up on you. To hell with all that, will never try and use them again. read more

Unfortunately, I was a victim of a "smash & grab" at the Santa Anita Westfield Mall a couple of weeks ago. I called Safelite because I remembered the silly jingle which by the way kudos to the marketing team because it came in handy when needed! They had a full calendar so I had to wait a few days to get the glass replacement. In the meantime, I drove the vehicle to their service center and they vacuumed out the glass and masked the window so I could drive in the interim. On appointment day they showed up to my home on time and completed the window replacement in approximately one hour. They were clean and professional! The window looks great and matches the existing factory tint. I hope I don't need them anytime soon but so so happy they are operating and servicing folks like me. After a rock that kicked up from a gravel truck on the highway had left a deep chip with minor spidering effect in my windshield, I debated for a year whether it could be repaired. At the coaxing by a friend to give Safelite a try, I went ahead and booked a mobile appointment. Dennis was my tech and he arrived curbside where my car was parked. I was quite impressed with the suitcase-based machine as well as his professionalism. He spent a minute cleaning the inside of the chip then proceeded to adhere a suction cup-looking base to the chip. Apparently, the suitcase machine contained resin that gets pumped into the suction cup base while at the same time, the same machine will vacuum out the gunk from the chip through the same base. During the 10 min process, Dennis explained the mechanics of what was happening from start to finish. And I also found out he is a big fan of soccer. All in all, a great experience! Once the machine had completed its process, Dennis sealed the repair area with another resin, then scraped off the excess. All done in half an hour! I would highly recommend Safelite and ask for Dennis. read more

Do not go to this location. Unfortunately, my insurance's windshield replacement program is tied with Satellite so I set up my appointment through them. I was told to drop off my car before 9:30 AM and it will be there all day ready for a pick-up by 5:00 PM. I dropped off my car at 7:30 AM. I called at 4:00 PM to get an ETA. I was told that the vehicle was still being worked on. I asked if it would be ready by 5:00 PM for pick up and the rep didn't know. I was really surprised by this because I don't have another car and I was planning to have my car back to use for the evening and to also drive the next day. When I scheduled my appointment I was told that it would be ready the same day. Communicating proper expectations would have been really great so I could have planned ahead. UPDATE: my car was ready by end of day but customer service could have been better. When I called at 4:00 PM, I was told that I would get a call back in a few minutes. Instead, I had to call again after 30 min to be told that it was going to be ready by 5:00 PM. Again, communication and follow-up could have been better. read more

I washed my car a couple of days ago and found three small chips. I called my insurance company, USAA and they recommended Safelite. Within a few hours, Rafael showed up. He said the cracks were too shallow to be repaired and that the best thing to do was to keep an eye on them and make sure they didn't crack in the next few weeks/months. DO NOT COME HERE!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND POOR MANAGEMENT SKILLS!!!! I would put 0 stars but that's not an option. Truly the worst customer service I have ever received. I came to get my windshield replaced and made an appointment with the store to schedule my service. I was told the service would take 2-3 hours to have the windshield replaced and calibration done and prepaid for the service to get done. I walked down the street to a Starbucks to get some work done while I was waiting for my car to get done. After 3 hours and receiving no phone call with an update I walked back and was told they were still doing some of the calibration testing. I sat for another hour only for them to give up after trying to calibrate for 2 hours and they asked if I could come again the following day, earlier in the day with less traffic for the calibration testing. I came back the next day at lunch time and dropped off my car, again going to get some work done down the street. After 2 more hours the following day I walked back to the shop to find that my car had not been moved or even started with the calibration testing. When I asked why nothing had been done I was told that they "had other customers with appointments to deal with" and it wasn't a priority. After stating that I had made an appointment the following day, and that it had now been over 7 hours and 2 days with the car, it still was not done because of the store's and manager's poor planning skills. No windshield replacement should take 2 days and 8 hours to complete. On top of that, they never offered to give me a refund for their poor planning or even a discount! They just offered to uber me somewhere, leaving me with no car and (presumably having to spend more money to uber back to the office). They have not been communicative at all during this process and I have only gotten updates about the service because I have had to go in to the office to keep asking for updates. DO NOT COME HERE!! They charged my card for $500 immediately. They said they would arrive between 1-5pm, but never showed up. I never got a call, text, or email, despite getting almost daily messages trying to upsell me on wipers and reminding me to be there when they arrive. The next afternoon I called customer service. The rep told me that "the glass was *probably* just broken when it arrived to the shop, so they couldn't come fix it, but I can schedule a new appointment for next week." No apology, no explanation, no effort to make up for the no-show. I told the rep this was unacceptable as I'd already waited two weeks for this appointment. I was put on hold. The representative came back 10 minutes later saying that the person had cut themself and that's why they never showed. I expressed my sympathy but said I'd like to speak to someone at the shop. She gave me a number, but of course when I called it was just the corporate customer service line. The next rep did transfer me to the shop however. But the woman I spoke to was very unhappy to hear from me. She blamed her employee, who had been injured on the job, for not notifying her in time to notify me of the cancellation. Again, this a full day later and no one had ever notified me. I had to call them. I asked if there was any way to get my window fixed sooner since I'd already waited two weeks AND they'd already charged my card for $500. She said no, so I asked if she could recommend other shops in the area that might be able to help me. She took offense that I would ask her to recommend a competitor. Then she angrily I give her my VIN so she could "check out" my car and make sure there was "nothing going on with it," i.e. she implied that the car was stolen or involved in a hit and run. No, ma'am, I'm just a guy whose window got smashed by a thief, trying to get it fixed in less than a month so he can drive his kids around. I was so busy that I just took the appointment. When the guy finally showed up, the first thing he said was "Btw, my vacuum's broken so I can't get the glass out of your door, but you can just schedule another appointment for that." I brought my 2022 Subaru Outback here to get the windshield replaced & my Eyesight re calibrated. I made an appointment 2 weeks out and i was told it could take about 2-3 hours to fix because the calibration. I got to the location about 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment, checked in, was told they'd start immediately at my scheduled time and it could take up to 4 hours. Luckily my day was pretty wide open that day. I watched the crew take my car in at exactly 8:58 - right on schedule. I left to get food & do errands while I waited. I assumed my car would have been ready by 12 or 1PM. I got a call at about 11:30 saying the car was ready, so I was ahead of schedule.
