Fernando at D&R Auto Glass is amazing! I just found a couple of small pits in the front windshield of my newly purchased CPO BMW and was scared they would develop into larger cracks. I called Fernando at D&R and he told me to bring it right in so he could take a look. Once I got there he carefully looked at the pits and told me there was nothing to worry about -- they weren't deep enough to cause future problems. Called for quote Friday night, made appointment for Saturday morning. This small unassuming shop has been around for almost 20 years and it's family owned and operated. There were three generations there today, so kinda cool and heartwarming. Marco was excellent, he was very open about what he was doing and the risks and benefits involved. My wife's car was leaking water into her cabin space. We thought it was from the sun roof, but were told by our mechanic that it was coming from a gap in the front windshield strip/molding, so we would have to take it to a auto glass place. D & R Glass was great for us. They were very friendly, very thorough in explaining our options (to fix vs replace), very patient in answering our questions, able to take me right away, and were able to finish the job in about 3 hours. Don't let the "hole-in-the-wall" look of the shop scare you off. What the shop lacked in looks was more than made up for it in service and professionalism. In addition, their price to replace the window was roughly half what I would have had to pay a chain like Safelite. I felt like they really wanted to make me happy. They made it very clear that they would be very happy to address any problems that should occur with the new window. Second visit to D&R Auto Glass. Meant to write a review for my first visit. Very unassuming business, that you enter from the alley parallel to Colorado. Filled my first chip perfectly a couple of years ago. No issue. Many a carwash and detail have followed. This new chip was unique, a large and small side by side. They were honest and said the filler might cause the windshield to crack, due to the side by side starburst chips. If I left is as is, I felt, it would probably crack from the heat of summer and then getting hit by cool water. So I took a chance and said, fill it. The fill worked, and the windshield did not crack. That is how detailed they are in the work they do. The place I waited during the repair is a few steps away, in a near by auto shop with a nice waiting room and wifi. Very respectful of my car, apologized for turning on the AC to cool down the windshield before applying the epoxy fill. I was good with it, they were doing what needed to be done to fix the problem. I have since taken the car through a car wash. All good. HIGHLY recommend them. Very reasonable. read more
