We made an appointment last week to fix our windshield at work. We had to wait a week to get it scheduled and when they called before coming over, I couldn't answer the phone. When I called back only 5 minutes later, they said they couldn't come and they were off to their next job. Great customer service Safelite. I called safelite when the heat broke my window because I had their tune in my head! I called Wednesday and it got fixed by Friday. Normally that would have sucked but I didn't work this week so I didn't need the car. Besides the tint was holding the glass in place. I got home service for a pretty good price. They send you an email and a text with the name and picture of the person that is coming along with their phone number. Super convenient. I got a call in the morning from the technician telling me he can come even earlier. The job took about an hour and he explained that there was going to be some glass left which is understandable. I contacted Safelite this morning to see if I could get a chip in my windshield repaired before Friday. Claude, the dispatcher, was extremely friendly and helpful and gave me a variety of mobile service options, depending on whether I was going to be at home during the day or at my office building. I called Safelite at 10 am and by 11:20, two technicians were meeting me in my office parking lot. Steven and Rick observed the "chip" in my windshield and told me that it was actually just a surface scratch that would not spread or cause a crack in the glass. They informed me that they could fill the imperfection, but since I was paying out of pocket, they didn't recommend the purely cosmetic procedure. I was so impressed with their honesty and professionalism! If I ever get an actual crack in my windshield, Safelite will be the first company that I contact to repair it! read more

WARNING!!!!! Do not let Safelite auto glass touch your vehicle if you value its condition. I dropped off my brand new vehicle after someone shot the passenger window with a pellet gun. The glass was in tact because of the tint, so I protected it with tape and cardboard and took the car into the Safelite location with the glass still in one piece. Not only was it not done by 5pm as promised (location closes at 5) when I dropped it off at 8am, I had to pick it up Saturday morning (inconvenience). Secondly, the moldings under the window on the door were majorly scratched, after I personally took measures to make sure they and the door didn't get scratched. Not only did it take a week to get a resolution, they said it wasn't their fault and took no responsibility for it. On the phone they said the whole thing would take 2 hours including fixing the camera after the windshield got replaced. When I got there, that ponytail glasses lady told me it will take 3-4 hours with the camera fixing! What the heck! And the repairing people were still on their lunch break. My appointment was at 1pm and I got there at 1pm and you told me there was no one to do the job? What is the use of an appointment? But I was already there and what could I do? So I walked to the McDonald's and waited for 3 and a half HOURS. You know what? They finished the work in 2 hours like it was said on the phone. Even though I told the glasses lady to call the number I gave her, she still called my husband who was in a meeting and couldn't pick up the phone. I needed a fast total windshield replacement for my Prius and called Toyota, by whom I was given a quote of $1800. I was shocked, and at a friend's suggestion went to the Safelite website. I was worried when I saw that a new windshield had to be calibrated accurately because of the Lane Departure Assist camera in it, but Safelite provided that service as professionally as Toyota would have, at half the cost. I was very impressed, and driving a little farther than the nearest Safelite outlet to get to the one that had an open appointment for the day I needed it was well worth the crazy jammed-up LA traffic I had to navigate that day. read more

I got a small chip in my brand new Honda Pilot from a road trip and contacted my insurance company who told me that the deductible would probably be more expensive than the actual repair-- so i obtained a quote from Safe light online and was given a quote instantly (and yes it was less than my deductible) so I scheduled them that same day. I was given a time window of 1-6pm but the technician called me at 12:50 and was here by 1:15 and finished by 1:45! He asked for my policy number, gave a quick call to his office and they brought the quote down for me to $40! When I asked "How?" He said that most insurance co.s waive the deductible for this kind of repair but since mine didn't, they gave me a discount (more than 50% off). He was courteous, quick, and the chip is almost completely gone. They also guarantee their work for as long as we own the car (a plus with more road trips in our future) and it was literally painless from start to finish- even out of pocket. You can't beat the convenience of this kind of repair which was such a relief because getting a chip in your windshield is such a bummer (and so inconvenient). read more

Since it was a weekend they stated the parts department would do it on Monday. I requested a confirmation call as I was leaving for a two week vacation. No call came in. Two weeks later got a message as I was on vacation. Got back from vacation and returned their call, my part was returned as they had assumed I abandoned the claim. No notes were written or message passed that I was going on vacation. Personel at this location gave me attitude the whole time. I needed to get my windshield fixed and had set up an appointment through my insurance company. Unfortunately the tech was behind on the day I had originally scheduled and they wanted me to come in a two hours later. I could not and rescheduled for an early Monday morning appt. I arrived on time and was promptly helped. The tech apologized for the confusion for my last visit, which was nice that he remembered. I had used this company before and told them to re-order my same requests from the last time, meaning I wanted the glass to match the manufacturer of my car. Unfortunately they did not take this request the second time and gave me a generic brand. I was not in the mood to wait and come back again so I just said do the job. The tech told me that it might take up to two hours, which I expected. Luckily it only took about an hour - which was great. I knew that I should not drive for at least an hour so I went to the shopping center next door to let the window set a little. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The employees were all very helpful and made the process go very quickly. I would recommend their service, just make sure you make an appointment in advance. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Baseball hit my back windshield and my insurance recommended Safelite, so I called to order exact replacement as I am leasing my car. I was told I would have to wait 3-5 days for the part to come from the dealer. I called 5 times to follow up to get an idea of when the glass would come and nobody had any answers for me. A week later, someone called to schedule the installation appointment finally. Technician came and installed windshield. I was then told by him that the windshield installed was not OEM as specifically ordered, this is a lease and I clearly asked for an exact replacement regardless of cost. On top of that the glass was warped! Every time I looked through the back window I got sick!! Furthermore, the rubber casing around the window was sticking out, as if it was done sloppily in a hurry. I was SO ANGRY!!! After being without a car for over a week, Safelite installed a defective piece of glass sloppily into my car. This is beyond UNPROFESSIONAL on so many levels!!! Obviously I called Safelite to complain about this and it took days to get anywhere. I called and spent hours at a time trying to get through to somebody who understood my complaint and would listen, it was like speaking to a wall. Half of my calls were either the agent ACCUSING ME OF LYING about what glass I ordered, or them trying to tell me the glass in my car was better than the OEM glass I was requesting. This service was infuriating. Never have I been so disrespected and so ignored by a customer service oriented business in my entire life. Finally, I got ahold of a manager who agreed that they would listen to the original calls placed when the glass was ordered to see if I had in fact ordered the glass I said I ordered. Turns out the call center had created four+ different orders for me by spelling my name wrong in a variety of creative ways. They attributed this to a possible error, but never took any responsibility. It was then also brought to my attention that the original order they fulfilled (with the defective glass) never noted WHAT TYPE of glass was ordered, so they gave me the standard, non OEM glass!!! Shouldn't someone have followed up on this?! How is that acceptable?! So, after all of this, I was told that the report from calls would come in about 48 hours. A FULL WEEK LATER, I recieved a call from someone new to schedule an installation appointment. Nobody had followed up about the findings of the calls, or to update me on the status of the case. They said they were calling to install the new glass and I insisted I speak with a manager. The manager confirmed that I had ordered OEM glass originally from the start and that is what they would be installing now. No apology, no responsibility, not even a slight mention that they were sorry for this ridiculous three week process where they had been so wrong so many times and so rude to a customer. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy use these services; they were unprofessional, installed incorrect and faulty products, and never accepted any blame or responsibility for their mistakes. I've had my truck for close to 3 years and its needed a windshield the entire time. I finally broke down to get it replaced and because of the constant commercials figured I'd try them. I set up an appointment for 2:30 and arrived about 2:20. Then the excruciating pain can really begin. The online quote said an hour and a half to two hours to complete service so I'm thinking I'm going to get out of there by 4:30 worst case scenario. Well when I got there I waited 40 minutes in the lobby after I was told to take a seat and they would be right out before anyone came outside to take my keys for my car. The receptionist told me to sit down and wait at 2:25 and at 3:05 the technician came out and took my keys only after he explained to another gentleman who had a one o'clock appointment that they didn't have the right glass part and it was on the way. Now he got out at 5 o'clock. I had to wait another whole hour before my truck was ready. No one offered me a discount or an explanation during the entire time as to what was taking so long. I was in the dark from the time my repair was supposed to be done at 4:30 until I saw the car pulled around at 6:05. Only then was I given some story that there technology couldn't cut through the rubber to get the glass out because it was the original glass. The entire place was like a morgue. It was depressing and all I could do with sit there and watch Ion TV on their screen and wait with no communication whatsoever. So far the glass looks beautiful but for all of that and for still having to pay full price after one not getting my car back on time and two not giving me an explanation that made sense and making excuses and saying thanks for being patient, that doesn't fly. Thank God I don't not come regularly to have to have my windshield repaired every so often. But definitely have lost my business after the first visit. A mom and pop store around the corner is probably cheaper and probably can do the same job probably better than their so called Technical geniuses who obviously aren't that bright for what I saw today. I paid for the early bird and answered all of the questions available online. The tech came out the Incorrect windshield. I was told by the tech his boss would call me. I called the number he wrote down numerous times without an answer and still no one called. I called the main number and eventually was directed to this branch. We went through the options of windshields and eventually the woman on the phone said she would send a tech the next day with 2 windshields. I received an email the next day stating our window of service would happen between 8am and 5pm. I paid for the early bird because I am a small business owner and that vehicle needed to be In service both days. I lost out on the first morning waiting for the tech, then the whole next day. During the morning I called again to find out when my actual service would take place. I was told I was moved to the back of the line and it would be the end of the day. I explained my situation and was told they would remove the early bird fee. I again explained what not having my vehicle in service was now costing me. They then credited me an additional $50 and assured me the tech would be there end of day which was 5pm per the email I recieved. I had to pay my driver overtime to stay so this could be taken care of. Around 5pm I still had not received a text stating the tech was on his way, so i called again. I was then told they were now sending 2 techs from the actual business location and they would be there within 45 minutes. They did not arrive that quick and it was well after 7pm when they we finally done, with me having to pay my driver now doubletime to be there until they were complete. I will definitely not be using them again read more

The front glass of my vehicle was cracked so i was referred to Safelite by my insurance company. On 4/18/19, technician "R" came to my house to work on the glass. However while fixing it he told me that the bracket for my rear view mirror couldn't be relocated properly onto the new glass, and that a new technician would visit next week with the right parts. Out of the 4 places where the bracket should adhere to, only 3 could. The next week technician "M" came without bringing any necessary parts. Rather, he took back R's parts saying he needed them as a reference for which parts to order. The next week "A" visited with the right ordered parts; however he only had 1 out of the 2 materials needed for the bracket to attach, once again the process was delayed for another week. This morning technician "J" told me he would visit and so I asked him to confirm everything with A. J still did not bring the correct part and after calling A, proposed to stick the bracket to the glass with black sealant rather than the actual component. I did not want to use an adhesive to fix the issue. It has been a month since using safelite and the bracket for the mirror still dangles off the glass and is not stable. I was extremely tired of the repeated situation and asked for a refund instead. However, while reading some reviews for safelite I saw that one user waited 2 years to receive a refund. I'm very irritated by their service and doubtful about their refund process also. I would not recommend safelite. read more

Had a chip in our new Fiat 500 front windshield.. Set up an appt. with Safelite after searching different choices online. We had them come to us because it was the most convenient option. They definitely do what they promise. The technician Nicolas Franco showed up on time ( they allow you to choose a window of time for the repair)..and he called us with time updates during the day ..so they do not waste your time...Nick was completely professional, friendly and knew his job. He is the reason for the 5 star review. He was very knowledgeable and he allowed us to watch the whole procedure and explained what was being done.. He cleaned our other windows while the repair was being done and even looked at a problem on our second vehicle for an opinion on it's repair. Customer service at it's very best for sure. We would definitely recommend Safelite to anyone wanting to fix a chip or crack. The chip is not completely gone but you can barely see it any more and it is guaranteed not to crack or run for as long as we own the car... that's a pretty good representation of a company that stands behind their work. Guy who replaced the windshield did good, but left a mess. The windshield is defective and my antennae was broken off. Complained. Windshield still not replaced but I've been "promised" I have a lifetime "warranty"...sure... "Supervisor" Rafael comes out to replace the antennae, complains about the work environment, has a snarky attitude, and left. Next guy comes out the following day, fixed the antennae, but didn't have cash to pay for parking at the lot where the work was done. So I had to pay for him with the "promise" of a reimbursement "tomorrow"...three days later...I'm with a defective windshield and out money for the tech to park....awesome! read more
