I went here because my insurer Nationwide recommended I go here to replace a windshield that got a crack due to a rock on the freeway. I go for my appointment, was quoted around 4 hours because they had to re-calibrate my driver assist camera. I get a call, head back to the shop, and the top molding of the windshield is horrible, not straight, wavy/crooked all the way across. I open the door to my car, the A-pillars have this black dirt that wasn't there before, brown dirt on my dash, the driver assist camera housing has some oily substance on it, and the door to my glasses holder, which is part of the camera housing, has a scratch. I tell them, they say "its under warranty now so we can reschedule and fix the molding". one of the techs came out and cleaned up the mess. They checked the pre-inspection report for any list scratches, but they try to ignore the scratch. I come back another day to have the molding fixed. It's somewhat fixed, much better than before but not OEM straight. I have more dirt on the dash, but I said screw it I need to get as far away from this place as I can. As I'm driving I notice a new scratch on the dash. A day later after they say I can wash the car, I try to use the window washer, and the fluid isn't coming out of the nozzles. I thought maybe the reservoir was empty, so I fill it a few days later, run the window washer, and notice the fluid is spilling out underneath my car. I take my car back today, talk to the manager, no apologies, no owning the problem, I show him the scratches and he tells me, "oh we only note major scratches on the pre-inspection report" Ok, so what about when you guys cause more damage? Again he ignores the scratches, and goes to get a tech to fix the window washer nozzles. No follow up, no attempt to fix the damage, no number provided to call corporate. He makes one more stop by my car while the tech is working on it, and just goes back into the building. My car is less than 2 years old, it's a 2018 model, and I know every single blemish on this car, the interior was perfect until I had my windshield replaced here. Long story short, AVOID SAFELITE, they will do a crappy job for what you need them for, and end up cause more damage. read more

Picked safelite auto glass through my Geico insurance to repair a chip on my windshield. After the job was done, I got a receipt that tells me what they did to my car. They said they vacuum the inside of the car and clean the windows. None of these were done! Oh, and the chip is still there. read more

They gave me an arrival time between 8 am - 1 pm and did not come until 2:15 pm without any follow up or recognition of the delay. People take off work and schedule around these things and 8-1 is an already generous window. Don't schedule that many appointments in the day if you can't meet your commitment. read more

I discovered this when I mentioned that my intermittency wiper setting stopped working after I had the windshield replaced to my regular auto mechanic, who fixed the problem once he opened the housing... My St Patty's day 2012 my windshield got broken while it was parked. I was sad and upset but what can you do? Next day was a Sunday I started researching to get it fix. Most places were charging me about $300 and closed Sunday. I saw this place on-line and called to get a estimate and she originally said $260.00 and suggest me with replacing the wipers. I explained to her what happened and I obviously am not trying to spend much and just needed my car fix without trying to get citation. She then said she understood and gave me a discount. Only thing I was not happy with is that everywhere was closed on a Sunday but Safelite at least made me an appointment first thing monday morning. They came to where my car was at and the estimated time for the work to be completed is 90 minutes to 2 hours. I loved the work they did and am really happy with the service. My boyfriend called Safelite in Placerville Friday morning needing to have his windshield replaced. We are going out of town to San Diego to help a family member, so this was a last minute situation. My boyfriend was informed Friday afternoon that they didn't have the windshield there at the shop in time to get it installed before Monday which is the day we're leaving. We then started trying to change days etc...In the middle of all that, he gets a call back from Jade the store manager. He told my boyfriend, they are getting the right windshield for his truck and asked if he could bring it in on Saturday, which is today at 8am, even though they are closed Sat. and Sun. I brought his truck in at 8am this morning, Jade and his son were there to greet me and got to work on his truck. They were so polite, professional and friendly! As far as I know the replacement glass is exactly what I already had for a premium leased vehicle. At first they told me that they possibly had the wrong glass for this car after they had ordered it 2 weeks prior and had plenty of time to discover the error. I turned around to walk out the door and get on my cell phone and as I was dialing the technician tells me that he was wrong and it truly was the correct part. Whew! So glad about that. I'm a car fanatic and I hate subpar anything. Get it right and get it right the first time. I had been driving around for weeks with a windshield that had a creeping crack after getting smacked with a small pebble that flew out of the back of a gravel truck. I let them take me to a restaurant in the area while I waited for them to do the replacement. It took them about an hour more or less. Then they called and picked me up from the restaurant. I called Saturday and they had an appointment for me on Monday morning. I took my car in and the receptionist was so friendly and explained everything to me. I scheduled an appointment online late in the afternoon and they where in the parking lot of my office the very next day!! Very disappointed with the service we had done. We had a rear window replaced that had been shattered. We were told we would have our vehicle the same day. They then informed us that they would have to order the part. They claimed they called us when the car was ready but we never received a call from them. They only way we were aware of the status of our car was by us making phone calls. If it sounds too good to be true, it's too good to be true. Scheduled an appointment to have my windshield replaced. It sounded awesome - good price, at my work place, and I got a good recommendation for Safelite AutoGlass in general. They missed their appointment time. They gave me a time slot between 1 pm and 5 pm. Really? That was a bummer. I had to reschedule my work day and kept make adjustments to make sure I would be available when they should up at my work place - pain! I called at 3 pm because I noticed they had my home phone number instead of my cell phone - and I scheduled for this to be done at my work place and didn't want to miss them. They told me that they would be out in an hour. At 4:15 I called back - they updated my phone again and said they'd call their person. I was assured that I would be contacted as soon as the person was on their way. I said, well, it's 4:15 and they should be here by now. So, no need to have them contact me since they're probably on their way already. Wishful thinking... At 5 pm I called back - oh, they would finish the client they're with now and get to me as soon as possible. Big Bummer. I'm still at work - it's 5 pm - and my windshield still has a big crack because Safelite hasn't shown up and want me to continue to wait for them (how long?) and they say the job will take about an hour plus once they show up. Oh yes, I want to hang around at work longer and longer with hopes they will show up. I cancelled. You missed your four hour window (LOL) and screwed up my day. Tell you what, hope next time you're waiting for the cable guy - they don't show up. I was polite when the phone agent asked if I wanted to reschedule. Oh, I said, and wait for you to stand me up again? No, I don't think so but thanks for the offer. I'm sure the work would have been good - if it had gotten done or if they had shown up. Thanks but no thanks. Safelite has multiple locations so when you call you don't particularly know which location will help you if you have them come out to do the work. The install seems ok, however the the tech left trash and fingerprints all over along with the imprint of the suction cup on the windshield and driver door. I had two little cracks on my windshield and my insurance company send me SAFELITE to repair it. They came to fixed the cracks but they left my windshield worst, now I have a lot of small chips on my windshield due to their "repair". I contact my insurance carrier the same day after the repair but couldn't get assistance as it was after hours. I decided to fill out a survey from safelite to informed them of the matter and waited for a call which I never received. I decided to give them a call spoke with Art "store manager" said to bring in the car for them to look at it. He said those chips were from rocks and couldn't be from their repair. He denied it was from the work they performed on the windshield. He said I was lying and if I wanted a new windshield to make a claim with my insurance. If I could give a zero stars, I would! Safelite is a scam! Worst experience I've ever had. I came in because I had a small chip the size of a pebble, and when he gave me back my car, he said "bad news, the crack spread." So I don't understand how you're suppose to fix something, then make it worst?! Now I have to replace my whole windshield instead of just fixing a little crack. I spoke to a mom and pop glass shop and they said that Safelite is in the middle of a lawsuit and purposely makes the situation worse so you'll have to replace it! My windshield had a tiny crack after a rock hit it on the freeway and after about a week, the crack stretched almost halfway across the entire windshield. I made an appointment online and waited about 45 minutes before my windshield replacement was completed. Awesome! The technician even vacuumed the carpet inside my car.
