I was quoted $84 to fix a chip in my windshield and when they showed up it was told it was $304 for the chip to be replaced. He said that his manager was in Hawaii on vacation and so there was no way to resolve the situation. He was polite but it was a complete bait and switch. Dropped my BMW off for a shield replacement. I expected a high-ish quote... Attendant at the front sat at his desk typing forever before telling me it'd come out to 900$. Then went back on his word and told me 1050. Then went back on his word again and said "he'd get me below 1000 to help me out". I said ok let's do it. Left my car there and drove all the way home (30 minutes away). Then he gave me a call and told me they actually DIDNT have the windshield they needed so they'd have to order one. It would be 1300 with tax. Total waste of my time, how about we check our stock before making promises to the customer!!! Truly horrific, I've been trying to get a response from the shop for two days but I just keep getting the run around from the 800 numbers. We had service completed, but two days later a crack appeared. We scheduled a warranty service appointment, but because of an unrelated rock chip in a different location on the window they refused to honor the warranty. I have now spent two days attempting to either get a refund or a new warranty appointment because the warranty crack happened before the rock chip happened due to their rescheduling the appointment. I cannot get anyone from the shop to call me back and I cannot call the shop directly. This whole experience has been time consuming, frustrating, and I would highly recommend choosing someone else for your glass repair needs. read more

The technician showed up early, said "give him about an hour " and went to work replacing my windshield. He was done in an hour, was very cordial and very professional. Horrible quality material used for their windshields and their lifetime warranty is also a scam! I got replacement and 2 weeks later the safelight windshield had a small crack in it I assume an acorn or something may have fell on it but not sure. Safelight won't warranty the windshield if something may have fell on it. At this point if a small nut or leaf can crack it tells me the product is very poor and I am not safe with it on my car. Getting it replaced by a different company. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS UNSAFE PRODUCT. And takes forever trying to reach a live person. Awesome job!! Had a cracked windshield which may have been affecting my cameras. Had a camera repaired and scheduled Safelite two days later. It was raining yet they still didn't job in my garage (make sure the tech has room on the sides and roof). The tech (John) was excellent! Knowledgeable and friendly. Explain things as he worked. Was efficient and had it on a test run (safelite has to calibrate the cameras to the windshield) within the hour. Came back with no issues. Cameras all worked. Windshield looked perfect with no gaps or bad seams. I paid $500 deductible which is normal. Their website is super easy to navigate and schedule. Overall, great job!! read more

Safelite came to my home 2/24/25 to repair a small chip in my windshield, technician BRADEE admitted to potentially improperly fixing the chip, which caused my windshield to crack. He then left my residential neighborhood with my car keys had a high rate of speed and I had to message him to bring them back. When he brought them back He continued to speed in my neighborhood where children are present. Safelite needs to cover the replacement of my full windshield, due to the improper training of their technician and unprofessional behavior. This technician seriously needs more training, especially driving a company car unsafely. Terrible customer service, the scheduler scheduled the wrong day, and apparently didn't ask the right questions. The installer showed up to do the work they had the wrong glass (tinted, not clear). They called in and it's a 2 week wait to get the correct glass. After taking 2 days off work to get this handled, nothing has been done. They do not honor their warranty!!!! We had a windshield replaced on our travel van in November 2024. We took the van out for our first trip of the year in early May and immediately saw that the brand new windshield had a HUGE crack going all the way across. I called and entered a warranty claim before we even left our neighborhood and made an appointment. When they came out you could tell they weren't here to fix the windshield but to find any way they could to deny the claim. The guy was here 5 minutes and said "there's an impact" and took a picture and that was that. They would not fix the windshield even though I explained over and over that we had not driven it at all and there was no way there was an impact. The spot they pointed to was so tiny and doesn't look like any impact I have ever seen. I researched it and read that if a windshield cracks because of poor installation, etc. it can appear to have an impact point. The worst part is, after talking with them and explaining it again, "Mike" promised me a call back after he talked with his manager and then never called back. I left another message on their website and they didn't reply AND they never answer their phone. I see similar reviews from others. We have to replace the brand new windshield AGAIN for another $500 deductible and I will not be using Safelight ever again. read more

Had windshield replaced the other day. After the installation the Installer put tape on the windshield and cab of Truck. I attempted to remove the tape the next day which left glue residue on my painted surface of the Cab and windshield. It looks like they just used masking tape instead of the proper tape which caused sticky glue mess. I have to say I'm disappointed and pissed off. Thanks a lot I reached out to Safelite and scheduled a Follow up service visit we'll see what happens. Follow up with the review. Tech arrived and attempted to remove tape glue with minimal results. Per the tech a manager was supposed to contact me to discuss this situation. Several days later I'm still waiting for a call what can I say this company doesn't give a damn. Next step will be contacting a body shop for an estimate. read more

My daughters Windshield cracked due to being too cold. I called the dealer ship and they wanted $1100 (recalibration new car cameras) then I went through my insurance and USAA recommended Safelite so I made the appointment online. Super easy. I was sent reminders about my appointment and when we arrived we were greeted with smiles and "how can we help you?" They noticed our appointment, told us it would be two to three hours and off we went. Two hours later, they called us and informed me that the car was ready. We arrived and her car was waiting for her. I went inside, paid my $500 deductible and they gave us the keys. He walked us out and told us some helpful tips on how to avoid weathered cracks. I've used safelite 2 times before in the past never had an issue. This time I've had a major issue. I filed a claim since August 2024 and I've been waiting for my windshield. I kept calling trying to follow up safelite can never get a hold of the glass shop for an ETA, so I'm always told I'll get an email... never received an email and now it's October 28, 2024. My windshield has been cracked now for more than a month and I just received my FOURTH call to reschedule due to them "not receiving the glass on this morning's delivery truck." This place is a piece of hell. I had an appointment on Saturday May 14th. My time was 11AM. When I go there I was told I was early then the girl at the desk told me she would check with the tech to see if he could take it now. Mind you the reminder I got told me be there 10 minutes early. She comes back my job was going to take 3 to 3 1/2 hours and they close at 12PM. What the hell why would they make an appointment for 11am for this job that would take 3 to 3 1/2 hours? Contacted local glass company. Out the next morning. Completed for less. Then got a voicemail from Safelite asking me to call and schedule for $800 plus quote. Hello! I went to this location last week to have my windshield replaced and recalibrated.. I waited about two weeks to get in, when I arrived and checked in everything was going fine.. 5 minutes go by and they come to get me to tell me they cannot work on my vehicle due to it being modified with a wheelchair ramp. I wish they would post this somewhere on their website or have it ask when making an appointment since it was a huge waste of time. However, the people there are really nice. One of the mechanics came out to tell me where I could try and was really kind about it.. I wish I remember his name. But anyway.. if you have a modified vehicle, don't go here.. instead visit Don's Mobile Glass. They have more specialty equipment and are able to get the job done. read more
