Brought my car there to get my windshield replaced. When I left I noticed a horrible rattle where my rear view mirror is and scratches all over the new windshield. Called the company and they made another appointment for me to come back because the part is under "warranty". [[HIGHLIGHT]]After I came back and they "fixed" the rattle, I asked them about the scratches on the windshield and what they could do about it and the worker told me that him and his manager looked and said it was from the "old" windshield wipers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not exactly sure what that means because it's a 2026 model 3 preformance that was 3 months old and it had been sitting in the Tesla shop for a month within those 3 months. Brand new car, so I know for a fact that's a lie. Also I'm no mechanic but I'm pretty sure my windshield wipers go side to side, NOT up and down. Now back to the original problem, the rattle. After the second appointment they didn't fix anything. The rattle was still happening and so I took it upon my self to check it out and come to find out they ripped out the plastic hook/bracket that holds up wires and never replaced it or at least tried to tape it back up. Do not do service with this company. I had to reschedule three times with them. First due to incliment weather and it was sunshine and rainbows not a cloud in sight. Hours of my day wasted. So I decided to drive 30 miles out of my way to lithia springs location on my day off- im a nurse, and those days off come sparingly. I told him I called 1800 8514527 to clarify that I'm paid in full- the customer service line indeed says I do not owe additional. I'm eating this location a 2 because of the wait time and I had to request assistance at least three times. I had an 11:00 appt. I was told at 11:45 (after asking what was taking so long for someone to even look at my window) it would be another 15 min because "the tech" (as in ONE person) was still working his 10:00. So, 45 minutes later (it's 12:30 by now) I ask again, when will someone look at my window? Alexis said let me look at it and I'll ask my manager what's taking so long. Do not do business with Safelite Autoglass on Oakley Industrial Blvd. in Union City, GA. Why.......[[HIGHLIGHT]]complete indifference by the store manager.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I brought my car in on September 27, in the early morning as I was told, per the arrangement made and returned to pick it up in the window when I was told, by the store manager.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In total, they had my car for 10 hours. Because of the mismanagement of how they do their business, they did not even look at my car until mid way through the 9th hour they had it. That's ninety minutes after the window that the manager told me, when I dropped it off, that it would be ready. Note here that I am not finding fault with the technicians. The management is the problem. His indifference is epic. After an hour waiting at the site, my husband went in to check on the car and why one of the first cars in was the virtually the last car out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager said he "didn't know I was still waiting." Liar! He and I had spoken specifically about how I would be looking for my car to be pulled back out front[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I used Safelite for a windshield replacement last year. Bottom line is after the installation I struggled with water intrusion on the right floor of my cabin and I set up a warranty appointment and they determined it was my sunroof drained was not draining which was true. Afterward I purchased a snake drain cleaner and got it draining properly but my water intrusion continued. They assured me that the windshield was installed properly. I then thought the water intrusion was from my air conditioning condenser drain because it's on the same side as the leak but that was not the cause either. I then began removing the plastic shielding covers from underneath the hood and found that the long piece that butts against the bottom of the windshield had not been clipped back into place. See the picture below you can see the plastic pushpin fasteners in the middle of the photo on the left and right side. They were missing. The leak stopped after I properly secure them into place. I am glad I did not spend several hundred dollars for the dealership to do all that! In addition, there are plastic trim pieces that are broken by the safelite installers that have not been replaced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have been apparently ordered but no word on that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My advise is seek another option or purchase the glass from safelite but get the factory to do the install. The 2nd visit they were missing a part and it took them an hour to tell me the technician had to drive 2 hours round trip to get the part AND then another 1.5 hours to fix the window. Overall fast service (especially if appointed via insurance company)! I was in and out of there in less than 25-30 minutes, tops! The air-conditioned lobby/"waiting room" gets two thumbs up! Well-equipped with refreshments (refrigerated water bottles AND well-kept and well-stocked, user-friendly Keurig coffee/tea machine), magazines for reading and well-hung flatscreen playing cable TV, attached to an extremely clean unisex bathroom made the brief wait more than endurable. My only complaint was with my young male technician, who, in his defense, met with me within minutes upon my arrival. His communication skills were extremely mediocre! His speech consisted of low mumbles, and he often turned his head away from me while speaking... which made me feel like I was going deaf just trying to understand him. Scheduled my appointment on 7/17 for the following week 7/24. Set up the claim through my insurance and then called to verify an appointment time. Show up and drop my truck off. Hours later received a call that the molding had not been ordered and I need to pick up my truck and reschedule (ok. weird they had a week to order parts and they assured me on the phone all parts are already on site). Clerk tells me that we cannot schedule without first ordering parts. Cool. Receive a call 7/25 requesting VN # to order part. Nevermind says clerk, just verify if its a crew cab (yes). Part is ordered. Please arrive 7/31. I arrive today. Drop truck off (40 minute drive again). Hours later received call from Marcus. We don't have the molding he says. I express my displeasure as this means I will once again means I will have to come back a THIRD time. Marcus states he will find out what happened and give me a call back. I receive a call back from a now unapologetic Marcus stating he has proof I did not respond to an email on 7/25 requesting VN #. I respond that I instead received a call and gave adequate information to I assume the clerk. I state my displeasure and request what he can do to remedy this. Marcus says I will be receiving no comp as a customer but he will take off 50$ from the insurance end of the bill. He tells me that I will have to wait for them to call the insurance company to modify the claim to include the molding they never ordered. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Even as I picked up my truck AGAIN. the clerk told me they will call me when they have the part ordered again (still waiting on insurance to give the ok for the modified claim). I tell her that I will just take it somewhere else as I have been dissatisfied with service here and am met with snarky "OK". The employees simply do not care. read more

I would avoid visiting this Safelite location at all costs. I visited this location to get a VERY small chip in my windshield repaired before it spread and became a bigger issue. On my first visit, despite having an appointment and checking in when I arrived, I waited for more than an hour as I'm fairly certain they forgot about me and didn't feel the need to help me until I asked how much longer the wait would be. Once the technician did begin working on my car, I was informed shortly thereafter that the chip had spread and I would need to return for another visit. Unfortunate, but not a huge problem. No mention was made that *I* would have to cover the cost of the repair when this was communicated to me, only a questionable "waiver" that customers are required to sign upon checking in. On the second visit, I arrived and checked in, only to discover that I would be footing the bill for Safelite's mistake, despite the fact that the employee told me a technician was supposed to perform a walkthrough of my vehicle and did not. According to the employee at the front desk: "they're supposed to, but sometimes they don't do it." Still not sure how this is my fault and not Safelite's responsibility... Finally they start the work, and I'm now told that they won't actually be able to do it because it's too late in the day (4pm) and they won't be able to calibrate the safety system in the dark, yet their system allowed me to schedule an appointment when they knew that that wouldn't be able to safely complete the work. I was told I would have to come back for a THIRD time so they could complete the work - still at my expense. When I followed up with customer service later that day, I was told the manager of the location would contact me directly about my experience, but even after a week I never received a phone call or any kind of communication. Avoid this location! Alternatively, the Conyers location was a breeze to work with, so this does not appear to be a systemic issue with Safelite as a company, just the Union City location. I waited the 3 weeks and then on the day of scheduled install, Safelite called to say that my particular vehicle needed to be repaired in their shop due to some complexities with the install. Safelite's representative blamed inexperience / lack of knowledge by their own scheduling team. Meanwhile, I had to cancel the appointment and no repair after waiting 3 weeks. Everything seemed well and seamless setting up the appointment. They were more expensive than competitors but hey can't you trust the bigger more known company? Dropped car off on appointment day, could not find the key drop box. (It was red at front door, small and unmarked. Did not look like a drop box. No directions in email on drop box, no labeling or marking on drop box. Box didn't even appear to be secure. So, I left my keys in my dash and the doors unlocked in a shady area of town. I thought I would call as soon as they opened. I was wrong. You can not call them. After a completely distracted and jacked up morning with anxiety over this and calling more than 15 numbers found on the website, I finally was connected to the union city location where I actually got to speak to someone (10:00am). I was told because my keys were not in the lockbox my appointment was lost. Did they call me to find out why I wasn't there or where my keys were? No. They took no responsibility for the failures. When asked why they didn't have a phone the reply was "do you know how many stores we have". Really! How do you respond to that level of stupidity? The day has been trashed because of safelite and their complete dismissal of responsibility and customer service. I will have to find another place to get my windshield replaced. I booked two of my three vehicle appointments online for repairing a rock chip in our windshields. It was very easy to make the appointments. Pat was the person who met me out front and took the vehicles back and explained to me what they would do but of course there is always a chance it could still lead to a crack. He informed me if that were to happen that the cost spent to repair the windshield would go towards the purchase of a new windshield. The other employees inside were friendly and helpful also. Always check with your insurance to see if they cover windshield repairs for rock chips. I have USAA on one of my vehicles and they covered it with Safelite but my husband has another company and they used to but do not any more. Oct 29, 2020 - After a rock hit my car on the interstate, I took my C300 Benz to the Union City Safelite location so they could replace my windshield. At the time, I believed the work was done well. My only issue was not being able to reach a live person. There is no direct number to contact anyone if you want to speak to someone. Nov 12, 2020 (2 weeks later) - I noticed a vertical crack forming in the center of the new windshield, starting from the bottom. It was my second time driving the car since the initial repair. I could not reach anyone by phone at the Union City office. The national number finally told me to wait until Monday to make a "warranty appt" bc it sounded like a stress crack. I spent two hours to get a live person on the phone. Nov 18, 2020 - I dropped off my car for the warranty appt, expecting to get a new windshield. A technician examined the car closely but said nothing. A rep called me an hour later to say another claim must be sent to my insurance company because the repair was not covered under their warranty. The rep on the phone said the wiper caused the crack. That was ridiculous to hear. Upon picking up my car, the manager, Joseph Schoedel, claimed that an object must have hit the car in between the wipers. The hood of the C300 hides most of the windshield so his logic of an object falling vertically in between the wipers at such a great force (a "noise" that I NEVER heard) made no sense. Also, just 2 weeks from the initial repair - highly unlikely. It was my second time driving the car in those 2 weeks. I would NOT trust the Union City Safelite. I do not believe that they do quality work. And the warranty is a joke if they cannot replace a windshield that was repaired 2 weeks prior. Expect weak excuses in order for them to avoid honoring their warranty. HUGE mistake to have taken it to Safelite and not the Benz dealership. 1/11/21 UPDATE: I took my car to the Benz Dealership last week. They confirmed that it was a stress crack on the windshield and not a second blow from an object. This Safelite location lied and DOES NOT honor their warranty. Consequently, I had to file 2 insurance claims over this matter. I believe a small crack was present upon installation and spread upward as I used the DEFROST. I strongly encourage people to AVOID this Safelite location. read more

My window was recently broken completely, over the weekend, while I was away from my vehicle. I called my insurance company and was able to get an appointment within minutes scheduled for the next day. The actual Safelite location was only a 20 minute ride from my home residence. As soon as I arrived, the employees were very welcoming and respectful of me and my time. Within the waiting room lies plenty of seating areas, as well as water and snacks that are complimentary. A TV is also well positioned to make the waiting go on by faster. The employee gave me an estimate of 2 hours, and to my surprise, took only an hour. The window came out looking brand new and sparkling clean. The workers were even kind enough to vacuum the remaining glass off of the floor and the seat, so that I would avoid having to go to another location.
