Had to have windshield replaced. Crew came to house and replaced. I noticed a wind sound coming from driver corner. Called customer service and they set up a warranty appointment. Was in and out in under an hour. They found a small pin hole that was causing the issue. 100% of cost covered under warranty. Only thing I am not happy with was car insurance went up as a result of having to have windshield replaced. Certainly not a Safelite issue so in hindsight make sure your insurance covers these things without penalty! read more

The worst customer service that you can ever had is with this company. They scratched my car and the molding holding the windshield flew off on the highway. Took 2 hours to get a human on the phone. The number to vestal location is just a automated message it hangs up on you after the message. I wished I never got my car windshield replaced by this company. If you read other negative comments. Took my mom's 2010 Toyota Yaris Hatchback to the Vestal NY Shop on 5/15/2026. No broken glass or cracks just to remove the rear hatch window and replace it with a new one. Reason is the rear defroster quit working after 16 years. Simple job I thought I even called ahead and Ricardo said we can do it. Well, the simple job turned into a NIGHTMARE and these geniuses instead of removing the glass took a hammer to it instead! They cleaned up some of the shattered glass but not all. A couple days later is when I discovered what had happened. Glass on the back seat, floor, trunk and inside the hatch door. The hatch door sounded like a baby rattle plus there was a leak. Also, there was a plastic cover they removed and never replaced inside the hatch. Great I paid $426.02 for utter slop! I vacuumed the car and removed a half of a gallon zip lock bag full of glass that was left in the car. The rest was inside the hatch door which I was unable to get to. I called Ricardo and told him about this, and he set up an appointment for 6/18/2026. Went up to Vestal and they checked the rear glass for leaks there were none. When I showed Ricardo all the glass I vacuumed out of the car is when the BS started. They had nobody there to remove the glass from the hatch. Unhappy with the outcome I called Customer Service and was originally told if their guys did it they would fix it. Then it changed to we can't do nothing about it. Well long story short I watched a 20-minute YouTube video and removed the hatch door and taillights. I cleaned out the rest of the glass and now no leak. Had everything reassembled in 3 hours something Safelite should have done! I don't know if they are incompetent, lazy or have no common sense, but I should have hired a plumber they probably would have done a better job! Safelite repair Safelite replace is a JOKE! Thy replace my windshield with a wrong one. Now they wanna calibrate it and charge extra $500, I have the right to choose where I wanna get the calibration done after what they did. I would not recommend going here. Please read the other reviews with 1 star! If they were professional they wouldn't need to come back and would let put the wrong one. I called customer service and the main shop, they're insisting for me to pay them extra $500 after what they did? I just paid them $778 for the wrong one. Safelite is not a place I would recommend. I had my back windshield replaced a few months ago and the person that put it in left the lights on the interior of my car on and the safety hatch error. I called to get someone to help me because I was worried about my battery being drained. I got a call back with somebody on the phone and she said that wasn't their problem because they had nothing to do with the lights which was definitely an issue because they were fine before. after I called the actual site and the manager did not seem too concerned, and said he would have somebody come out and see me later that day. Brought my Cadillac CTS in to have a broken windshield replaced that was completed and I had no problem with it . My problem was they somehow knocked the custom exhaust off and never mentioned a word about it. My son who goes to school near there actually took a picture of my car in front of the place and you can see the exhaust laying on the ground. Also I cleaned all the door jams and interior before I took the car in and upon picking it up the driver sill , floor mat, and plastic were covered with dried mud. I reviewed and said I wasn't happy and was told I would be contacted and that was three weeks ago and I've heard nothing. I expect better customer service and more care for my vehicle in a place I'm gonna do business with. A rock hit the center of my windshield on my 2019 KIA Optima and the following days the summer heat from within the vehicle caused the windshield to crack in multiple directions. I scheduled appointment with the Vestal NY location, dropped the vehicle off at appointment and less than 2 hours later, new windshield was installed and looked great. I had a crack about the size of a dime, Safelite came the next day to fix it while it was in the shop (so I didn't get a chance to look at it). I was told that the crack may be ever so slightly visible under certain light, however, I still see the entire thing. It doesn't even look like they did anything. Make sure you are present for any repairs. I have to go through this whole thing again now which is a pain in the neck. read more

Got my windshield replaced today on my 2016 Honda Pilot EX-L. Good: The weather forced them to bring their mobile appointments to the shop, but it only caused them to be 30 minutes later than their estimate. They also did the legwork to get my insurance to cover the replacement. Bad: They were not able to calibrate the LKAS (the camera on the rear-view mirror that keeps you in your lane), even though I was able to order calibration for my model online, so now I have to take it to the dealer. The Safelite tech said something like, "we only do dynamic calibrations, and you car doesn't do those." All told, $517. I bet I would have spent that much at the dealer, and they could have done the whole job. On top of that, I had a replacement without calibration from Budget Auto Glass on the same vehicle about a year ago for $300 even, but they don't tend to return calls or texts. Or emails... This place is amazing. I went to the Vestal office for my appointment for a windshield repair and asked about a replacement due to extra damage. They sent it through my insurance company for me and set me up for another appointment two days later. When setting up the new appointment I mentioned that I had another appointment later that afternoon. When I got there for my replacement, they got my car in and out in less than 45 minutes because they had remembered from two days prior that I had mentioned having the other appointment. My windshield was repaired within 15 minutes of my arrival, and the gentleman who handled my car was polite, professional and very helpful.
