I had a 1pm -6pm window replacement slot. The repair person called and asked me if I was willing to bring the car in the shop between 1-1:30pm instead of doing it at my garage which was what I requested for my appointment. I agreed but unfortunately as I was taking my car there I ended up needing a jump. In total I was going to be 30 minutes late. Instead of being accommodating, the manager called and canceled my appointment. I tried to talk on the phone and visit in person the manager Brandon Quinlan. He refused to offer me service based on that they now had no time to work on my vehicle because they agreed to help someone else who arrived early for their appointment. Fast and friendly. I went today to have a minor windshield repair. Seem that a caught a stone on the highway that cause a small chip in my front windshield. Since the weather is getting colder I did not want it to spread into a full bowl crack. I contacted my insurance company and they recommended The Safelite location. I scheduled a appointment for 10:30. When I arrive I just had to fill out a little paperwork and they took my car in right away. They had a small lobby with just a few chairs spread out due to Covid restrictions. I was the only person waiting so I was comfortable. I was quoted a 45 min timeframe to complete the repair. I was surprised when they brought my car out in 30 min. It's always nice to get done a little early. They windshield was repaired completely and they guarantee it for as long as you own the car. I could not even tell where the chip was. If I need a repair in the future I would make them my first choice. read more

We have scheduled them multiple times to come out and change our glass, but they keep canceling after the appointment time stating their technician has called out or has an emergency. Too frustrated to go into detail. Basically, they obviously damaged my hood and initially tried to lie about it. The manager then filed a claim but their third party claims company (Fleet Response) denied my claim without speaking with me or providing an explanation. They also sealed in a tool or some debris between the windshield and base of the dash. I hear it sliding from side to side every time I turn a corner. Gonna cost me more to fix the issue than the windshield did. Horrible business practice. Avoid Safelite, especially the Windsor Mill Md location. read more

Easy to schedule an appointment online to repair my cracked windshield. Technician arrived within the designated time frame (and called ahead of time letting me know he was 20 minutes away). Very professional, friendly and thorough in explaining what Safelite repair process would look like and how long it would take. I'm not sure if this place is still Royal Glass Company or if it is now Safelite. The signage says Safelite, I didn't recall seeing the other. This place is located on the corner of Dogwood and Lord Baltimore, in a small I would say industrial park. I don't think it is quite easy to notice from the road, there isn't any large signage. The glass door had the Safelite logo in red, and that was about it. I was sent here by my insurance company, and was told I would wait about one and a half hours to replace my cracked windshield. I think they were behind, so my wait was about two hours and fifteen minutes. The staff were nice enough, and I suppose the price was reasonable, I do know that they provide a lifetime warranty regarding leakage and the like. I was referred to Safelite by my insurance company. I had the unfortunate occurrence of having my windshield glass hit by a flying rock, which resulted in a crack that kept growing and growing due to the weather. I put in a claim with my insurance company and they recommended Safelite. I called and set up an appointment for thwm to come to my home to repair the windshield. They emailed me a confirmation, the name of the technician who would be coming out and that they would call to confirm the appointment. The morning of my appointment, l received a call from the technician only to be told that they were still waiting for my windshield and as soon as it came in, they would give me a call. That was at 8am. It was now 4pm and l had not received a call. My hubby called to see what was going on as it gets dark after 4 and there was no way they would be able to complete the job before it was completely dark outside. We talked to someone in the Corporate office and they transferred him to the location that would be performing the work and they stated that my windshield still hadn't arrived! To say l was upset was an understatement. I blew a whole day waiting for them and they didnt even have the decorum to call and let us know the windshield situation. We asked when we would be able to get the job done and they told us the earliest was Monday (the day of the service was suppose to be Friday), which we found nd unacceptable. I voiced my concerns and after a short wait on the phone, was told that we could bring my vehicle in the shop the next day (Sat) as early as we could, which was 8am. We quickly agreed and were told that because of inconvenience, they would waive our insurance deductible! We arrived a little before the 8am opening. Safelite is located in an office park near Security Mall. We were greeted by a pleasant man (Mr. Coates) who welcomed us and took my keys to begin service on the windshield. The waiting area was spacious and clean with a television, magazines to read and complimentary coffee. Mr. Coates informed us that the wait would be 90 minutes to 2 hours. There is a Subway across the street if you need a quick bite while waiting and other eateries within a block of the business. Well, they were finished just short of the 90 minute mark. Mr. Coates explained what was done and that his workmanship was guaranteed and if l experienced any problems (other than another ding or crack in the window) to call him at the number he provided and they would correct it. They cleaned not only the replacement window, but all of my windows and vacuumed the front interior. This experience more than made up for the incident the day before. So I just noticed this past Saturday that I had tiny chip holes in my windshield, so I had to find out if I had to pay a deductible for the windshield to be replaced but to my surprise, they said it's ( free of charge) as long as the cracks aren't as bill as a dollar bill you're good. I figured it's best to take care of the situation now before it starts getting extremely hot and they start to spread. Worst experience ever I have had, I got replaced my windshield, and they said it will take around one and a half hours I said okay I will come back when you guys gave me a call. They call me around 4.30 and I was on my way and the guy told me we will leave at 4.30 pm. I said it says on the website you guys are closing at 5 pm and I am on my way 15 minutes away from there can you just wait for me? Was referred to the Baltimore office by my insurance company due to a small crack in the windshield. According to the info from this company, a chip or crack smaller than the size of a dollar bill could be fixed. No issues, small 1-2 inch crack. The morning of my appointment the technician texted that they had to cancel and didn't give a reason. i called the office to see if they could send someone else out that day but they couldn't get me an appointment until 1 week later. Fast forward 1 week..the tech shows up and said the crack(which is now larger than when I originally called) couldn't be fixed but he didn't have the windshield I needed. They would have to reschedule again. Called customer service to complain about this now being a third visit for a simple windshield job and the person was extremely rude and condescending. I explained that the windshield could have been fixed (not replaced) had they shown up when they were supposed to we wouldn't be in this situation. Instead of taking responsibility for the companies error, the CS manager wanted to give me attitude. I cancelled my insurance claim and will use a different company if needed. Made an online appointment, then I had to change locations by phone. I had an email confirmation before I even hung up the phone. The technicians at the location when I arrived were friendly, polite, and efficient. They finished much faster than promised. And also wiped the car down. Obviously, nobody wants to have to visit a windshield repair place... because it means your windshield is messed up... but as long as you have to go, this is a good place. Some kind of acorn smashed into my windshield. I called my insurance and they set everything up. I went to my Safelite appointment in woodland Maryland. They were so friendly and courteous. It took a very short amount of time to get in and get fixed. They had a beautiful table full of all the toys better than most doctors offices. My daughter was very excited. Not to mention there coffee section with about every beverage you could want. It was an amazing experience. If I ever need an glass services done again I would go back to the woodlawn office. Curtis was the repair tech assigned to me, and he did a phenomenal job. The crack in my windshield was deep, and you could feel it from the outside. I made an appointment at this location over a week ago and I arrived at 3:58pm for my 4:00 appointment. Two minutes in, the attendant tells me rather nonchalantly, I might add, 'The wrong windshield was ordered or that the windshield for my 2013 Honda Accord was not in.' I am hesitant in my explanation as to what really occurred because the attendant mumbled what he was saying to me. As I stated, he was very nonchalant about the error and not apologetic at all. He did not offer a solution as to what he could do to correct HIS or the store's error. I was so disgusted that I asked for my key and walked out of the service area. Do errors happen? Of course they do, but it is how you deal with the client especially when it is your error. It appeared that he really did not give a damn whether I rescheduled or not. I should really be used to this kind of ineptness but I am never surprised at how this type of poor service has become more the norm in business. Just think, I left work two hours early for this appointment. It is unfortunate because Safelite really has the market cornered on reasonable glass repair. I really wanted to give this establishment not one star but it would not allow me to post this review without a star. This place was very bad. I was getting a back window replaced, which should not be that difficult. First, they screwed up my plastics that are around my back window, scratched it pretty bad. Then, the caulk job they did around the window was pretty messy. Not only that, they forgot to put the screws back in my hatch plastics, so that vibrates now when driving and now I have to go to a junk yard to find screws since they are not sold individually. They didn't get all the glass out of the trunk, so when ever you left the hatch you hear little pieces of glass rattling around. Then there is the defroster which was not even tacked to the window, it was just hanging there. Overall, terrible experience. Called to complain and they did not seem interested to fix the issue at all. Filed a complaint with corporate on their website and still have not heard back. I had a really great experience working with Safelite. I never had a crack in my windshield so I didn't know what the process would be like. I simply googled "repair crack windshield" and Safelite was one of the sites that came up. The website was very user friendly and they offered me the ability to get a quote. I loved that I was able to know exactly how much it was going to cost and after the quote I was able to make an appt to my nearest location. The location closet to me offered a time that worked great for me. I went in and gave them my name and they got me started right away. The gentleman quoted me an hour and a half and my car was ready within that time frame. I waited in the lobby and did some work on my laptop while I waited. The gentleman who took care of me was very courteous. He heard that I was sniffling and asked if I was sick. I told him I was catching a small cold and he offered me some green tea which was free in the waiting area. Overall it was a really great experience. I choose to do business with Safelite just based on how the website was setup. It was great to know that when coming into the location my experience was great too. If I ever have a glass issue in the future I will make sure to return back to Safelite since this experience was so good. read more

Though they took a bit longer than estimated and failed to return the drop cloth I had in the back of my Subaru Forester to catch the bits of safety glass, the installation was done well and they were nice enough to have one of their mobile units return the drop cloth within a couple of hours. read more

Very unprofessional and rude service. The technician that performed the service kept calling my cell phone line multiple times throughout the process with questions (I wasn't physically at the body shop while the work was being done). At one point I had to tell him to stop calling me and hung up on him. He was very argumentative and unknowledgeable and I can see areas where my rear-view mirror was put on crooked. I'm sure Safelite is a good company but I had a really bad experience at the location on Lord Baltimore in the Woodlawn area. As if a cracked windshield isn't bad enough, I called my insurance company to help who transferred me to Safelite. The man from Safelite told me they had my windshield in stock, went over prices of repairing the windshield vs replacing it...big price difference!! He scheduled an appointment for me and said that on the work order he'd write to first check if the crack can be repaired and if not, replace it. I got there and the technician looked at my car, walked back over to me and handed me my key back- he said the crack is to big to repair- it'd need to be replaced- fair enough. He then told me I'd need to reschedule. I corrected him that the appt was to replace but with a check to see if first it could be fixed. The technician then handed the situation over to the secretary/receptionist/rude girl at the front desk...whatever her title is. She was very rude! She told me they didn't have my windshield in stock- that it was at their Rosedale location (not my problem), and that they couldn't fit my car in for an appointment that day anyway even if she found a way to get the windshield to their location...I already had an appt. She ended up calling her customer service person (who in the end really tried to resolve the situation), but talked about me and giggled about my situation RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!! I found her to be rude, ignorant, unapologetic for their company's mistake, and not customer service oriented at ALL! All in all- a crappy situation ended in crappy customer service. In the end, my windshield never got fixed (the solution was for me to drive to Rosedale from Woodlawn). I understand people have bad days- my hope is that day was just a bad day for her and that she speak to every customer the way she spoke to me. read more
