When I arrived, I was told that the tinting process would take approximately one hour. However, my vehicle was not completed for a little over two hours. While I understand that delays can occur, a more realistic estimate would have helped me plan my day better. My primary concern involves the sales and consultation process. While waiting, I overheard representatives discussing various tinting options with other customers. It became apparent that some customers received detailed explanations of the different film tiers, package options, warranties, and long-term benefits. In contrast, during my own consultation, the discussion focused primarily on the darkness of the tint. There was little to no explanation of the higher-tier products, including the Tier 3 film with its lifetime guarantee. As a customer, I found this disappointing. It appeared that information was being presented differently depending on the customer, rather than being consistently offered to everyone. Had I been fully informed about all available options and warranty coverage, I likely would have selected the premium film from the beginning. I also noticed that the business license displayed on-site appeared to be expired, which raised additional concerns about attention to operational details. The day after my appointment, I contacted the business and spoke with Mr. Lee. I appreciate that he was professional, courteous, and genuinely apologetic regarding my experience. I explained that I was not angry, but rather disappointed that I had not been given the opportunity to make a fully informed decision regarding the quality of film installed on my vehicle. During our conversation, I expressed my interest in having the tint redone using the highest-quality film available and indicated that I would be willing to pay the additional cost, even if it meant paying significantly more for the upgraded product. Overall, I believe New and Better Tinting provides a service that many customers value. However, I would encourage the business to ensure that every customer receives the same thorough explanation of all available products, warranty options, and package tiers regardless of appearance, background, or assumptions about purchasing preferences. Consistency in customer communication is essential to helping customers make informed decisions and feel valued. I should reiterate that during my conversation, the owner acknowledged my concerns and said he would speak with the employee involved to ensure all customers receive the same comprehensive information about available products, warranty options, and service packages. I appreciated his willingness to listen to my feedback and his commitment to improving the customer experience. Came to get my front windshield glass replaced. Called earlier in the week and was quoted one price, arrived in person a day later and the quote went up by $70. After some negotiation, it was reduced by $60. I put a 1/3 deposit down so they could order the windshield and paid the rest upon completion. It took them around 2 hours since I dropped my car off to install it. The service was decent although you have to yell that you are waiting before they come to the service desk (on my three visits), which lead to one star being taken away. All in all, if you have a high deductible and it would be better to pay for your windshield out-of-pocket, I recommend this business as they do a really good job overall. read more

had windshield replaced here and the experience was below average. had us make an appointment for 9:30am, then after sitting and waiting for two hours told us the glass was supposed to be delivered at 11am. shouldn't have made the appointment for before you had the parts. waste of time, we would have come at 11 or 11:30 if given the option. once the glass arrived, the installation was quick, around 40 minutes. price was $10 below Safelite's cost. only a few days later did we actually notice the damages to the car. the underside of the car's hood is scratched up (paint missing), the plastic trim piece on the roof is broken and falling off and the rubber seal around the windshield is messy and visible inside the car. the only reason i'm giving two starts is because they got it done the day after we inquired. if you can, save yourself the trouble and do not settle for this establishment. read more

I called this shop after TintMax didn't pick up the phone. I needed my tint off in a hurry, and took a chance on this shop that I always drive by. It's tucked back on Old Frederick Road (Just as you pass McDonalds on 40E), but it's worth stopping by. The lady at the front desk was very personable and friendly, and the installation techs were speedy, attentive, and professional. The waiting room is plain, and there is no Wi-Fi, but you'll be in and out in no time. I had tint removed and re-installed for a total cost of $200. If you just get tint installed, it's $99 per car. Good prices. Good service. Very friendly. I called at 10 am about a windshield replacement. I was in by 1 pm and out an hour or so later. There was a steady parade of folks getting tints. They all seemed happy with the work. They did break a small piece of trim on my car, but they took down my VIN and ordered a replacement piece. They called about a week later when it came in, and everything's as good as new. They have a tiny waiting room, so best to drop your car off for a bit if you can, though there is a McDonald's very close where you could also sit and wait. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! please take the time to read about my experience. I took my brand new BMW (that I saved for years to be able to buy) to this place, and they are sloppy and careless about your car. They left streaks all over the interior door panels (supposedly from water and soap). I spent lots of time at home trying hot water, windex, etc to try to get rid of these streaks. I got rid of most of them, but some are still visible. Ok, so I let that slide. Then after doing a crappy job on the tint to begin with, I gave it a week figuring that perhaps it needs time to dry and will look better. Nope. So with the lifetime warranty, I took it back and they had to fix 3 out of my 4 windows, since there was a lot of bubbling and peeling on the driver's door window. This time when I got the car back, I noticed there was scratches on the tint on both rear quarter windows (back windows of a coupe that don't roll down). I figured it was just the tint, and at this point I was too fed up with this place. Not only that, but there were white specs in the interior of my car (which is black) and on the rubber strip of the door jam (after removing and replacing tint on the driver's window). I thought it was just something that would wipe off so I went home and dealt with it later. Well, it wouldn't come off with anything I used. I took my car back to New & Better tint to show them what they had done. Apparently they used ammonia to remove the tint and had sprayed it there, causing the discoloration. They had me bring it to a detail shop, which they used Meguiar's Black plastic restorer, which made it look almost like it was. However, after a few days that faded so you could see the white spots again. This part is about $350, plus labor. But they refuse to replace it. Back to the windows: The scratches that I thought was just in the tint, was actually on the inside of the window. They weren't there prior to them removing and replacing the tint. I have no children or pets or anyone who ever sat in the back seat of my car, and like I said, this car is brand new. However, they refuse to replace the windows, which is about $950. TLDR: They do a sloppy job at tint, use cheap tint, and ruin the interior of your car. If you care about your car DON'T GO HERE!! read more

We found this place during a random search on Google. Glad we found them. Provided a quote over the phone and also scheduled a time. They were also open during a Code Blue for the city and counties of Baltimore. They charged a reasonable price (less than $200) to replace the front windshield. The tint job looks good when you first get it done. They offer a life time warranty on the work which doesn't mean anything. They use the excuse it's the film. I understand they didn't make the film but they don't try to work with you to get it redone at a discount. They want you to pay to remove the tint and pay to redo it. Never using them again after having 6 vehicles done. read more

Really small mom and pop shop! Found this place from a recommendation from a good friend of mine. My back window was broken yesterday. I called them this morning at 8:30am and they were ready to see me at 10:40!! Not only were the prices fair, about half of what I expected from the dealer, but it only took a little over an hour. I had my front autoglass replaced there and found out that it's not properly sealed on the corner. I went there again to get repaired due to water leakage, one of the guy tried to fix it, but kept checking the sun roof. They didn't fix the problem, now I still have wet underneath the passenger mat when its raining. It is so annoying that I have to go there again for this. It's little cheaper, but not a good service for repair. read more
