Beer gas and nitro available!…read more Can't beat the price - Co2 for beer is about $20-26 bucks for a large tank. Very quick in-and-out cylinder exchange. 5th star would be for extended office hours, we usually have to rush home from work to get there before they close.

Airgas is probably well known to welders but I had only seen the name in desultory searches for dry…read moreice. When an AWOL contractor left me with concrete coatings full of scary chemicals I called the supplier about the right respirator. 3M maybe? No, pros wear a North half-mask but they only had cartridges in stock. And good luck looking for a mask. Everyone's looking but no one can find any because of COVID. After a long, fruitless search among local safety equipment dealers, Airgas popped up and their online catalogue said, "In Stock." I called the Airport Way store and Chad answered. As a woman I've come to expect somewhat cursory treatment from building trades suppliers, but this guy wasn't in a hurry. He listened, asked some questions, then checked: They had all kinds of North masks. Which one did I want? I wasn't sure. Without haste or impatience Chad asked more careful questions, then described the most likely half-mask and sizes. Since fit is essential he said I could try them on. This is SOP; they disinfect what isn't purchased. The Airport Way is a clean, bright, well-organized store with welding gear, parts, gas bottles, safety equipment on display. Chad was busy so a pleasant young woman named Alexis started the process, then joined by Sam. I figured out her name from a great-looking steel plate on the counter with "Alexis" cut into it which she had done with a plasma cutter. At Airgas, welding and plasma cutting are part of their enviable employee training. Chad remembered my call, studied the coating SDS and said I'd need the North mask that takes the full vapor cartridge. I tried it on and he showed me how to ensure it fit. Then I left with a mask nobody else is able to find. Whether you're after dry ice for a party, welding supplies, or safety and MRO equipment, Chad and his crew at the Airport Way store are knowledgeable, helpful and efficient. They'll answer your questions and then some, and there's a good chance they'll have exactly what you need.

Thank you to Fergusson for being concerned about what Customer Service is about. I changed the rating from 2 stars to 3 because they at least reached out. 7/15/2024 - Nothing but a profound disappointment with the service I received at Fergusson location at 3440 6th Ave S, Seattle. My recent experience left me frustrated and concerned about the level of customer care at this store, and I urge your business to a competitor or even another Fergusson shop. Called on Tuesday to order a 3x3x2 Street Wye, a special fitting not typically stocked. I chose this location due to its proximity to my workplace and was assured it would arrive by Friday. Unbeknownst to me, this store is the only utilities supply shop that closes at 3 PM daily. I received no notification that the part had arrived, so I called at 2:30 PM on Friday to confirm its arrival. I informed the person on the phone that I would leave work immediately to pick it up, yet there was no mention of the early closing time. I arrived at the store at 3:06 PM, only to find the doors closed and gated. A person sitting in his car in the parking lot rolled down his window and, when I explained my situation, his response was simply, "I am not going to clock in." He suggested I go to the Marginal Way location, even though I had specifically ordered the part for will-call because no other Fergusson in the Seattle area had it in stock, and it had to be shipped from Portland. His refusal to help was frustrating and disappointing, especially considering my entire weekend plans were contingent on this fitting. When I returned on Monday, I encountered further issues. I asked why the employee even bothered to engage me if he had no intention of helping. Another customer, who seemed to know the employee, became confrontational with me for voicing my concerns. This added to my frustration and made the situation more uncomfortable. My main concerns are as follows: 1.) Why didn't I receive a call or text confirming the part had arrived? 2.) When I called to confirm the part was in and mentioned I was on my way, why was I not informed of the early closing time? 3.) Why was the employee sitting in his car and engaging with me if he had no intention of helping? 4.) When I spoke with Kyle, the manager, he seemed indifferent to the lack of communication and customer service. His response felt obligatory and dismissive. This experience reflects poorly on Fergusson's commitment to customer service. The lack of communication and the dismissive attitude of their staff are unacceptable. It would be nice to see a business address these kinds of issues promptly to prevent other customers from having similar negative experiences. I honestly have my doubts that they even care about customers.
