The main spring on our heavy garage door broke so we gave these guys a call. They were here within 90 minutes and the technician quickly replaced the springs and then also up sold me to replacing bearings and pulleys. He was done within about an hour and the garage door seem to be back to normal. All good if not a little expensive. Fast-forward 24 hours, and as we close the garage door for the night, there's a huge crash and the door nearly falls off its rails. The pulley and springs had broken, and it was now all cockeyed in the frame. So made an emergency call to these guys at 10:30 at night, and got another technician and the owner out here, and these guys worked like dogs until about midnight to fix it. They replaced what looked like a faulty spring, and then fixed a bunch of other things that got bent when the door fell off. It was all no charge, and the owner was here actually doing some of the work. So I wish the repair had gone right the first time, but the extraordinary effort from the team to fix it late at night the next day I really appreciated. One of our garage door springs snapped and disabled the door being able to roll up. This occurred on a Friday night after business hours so I searched on Yelp for a garage door repair company. We had previously used a different company that we were pleased with, so I posted a request for estimate on their Yelp page. Almost immediately I received a post from Safety Garage Door advising they could come out and give an estimate within two hours that night, and provided information about what their company could do for us. I heard from two other firms later that night, but nothing from the original company I asked. Safety followed up again the next morning, and I told them I was still waiting to hear back from the original company I queried. I never heard back from them, so today I asked Safety to come out and give us an assessment/estimate. They gave us a two hour window this morning, but called back stating their technicians were held up and asked if we could push back today's appointment two hours later. No problem. The two men showed up within that time frame, assessed the door and provided what I felt was a decent price for spring replacement. They also found rollers and bearings that were close to failing and showed me the evidence. They had the parts on the truck and were able to complete the job within an hour, in addition to balancing the door, checking the sensor and lubricating the rollers. They explained some other issues that might cause problems in the future but did not pressure us into replacing items that were still functional. Great communication throughout and they worked carefully while treating our property with respect. I requested service for a broken garage door spring, assuming it was a standard item. Matt arrived promptly at the time I booked. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and he was surprised to see my garage door and spring was not standard. He promised to get me a quote that day, and when the supplier didn't get back to him in time, he called to check in and let me know he was still working on it. The next day Matt escalated the job to Ammar, who brought a variety of rarely-needed springs to the service call and he was able to complete the job. He explained exactly what it was about my door that was so unusual (the previous owner had installed an exceptionally heavy door for such a narrow space) and made me feel completely satisfied that I really did require the heavier spring. Here's the best part: after he replaced the broken spring, he noted that the rollers were getting pretty worn and that the existing garage door motor was not optimal for such a heavy door, but instead of trying to pressure me into roller replacements or a new motor, he told me how to keep the rollers lubricated to prolong their life as much as possible and said there was no problem to keep using the current motor but just to be aware it probably wouldn't last as long as we might expect. Bottom line: these guys are honest, knowledgeable, dependable, and they're not going to give you a hard sell.
